I’ve been gifted this ball and I’m trying to place a year on it based of the signatures. Some are obvious like Bickley’s but some I have no idea about. Can anyone help?

Anyone else feeling a slight (measured) pang of excitement about September? I am, but I don’t want to jinx things however this is what I’m hoping goes down:

Thoughts? I reckon it’s probably the way they’ll go. Notable players missing out are Cumming, Taylor, Butts and T Murray.

I think Nankervis, Cumming and Taylor are all vying for the same spot. Nankervis has been in ripping form and is probably a bit more versatile at the moment compared to the others. But I don’t think I’d mind either way.

T Murray might be a horses for courses selection with Tex depending on who they are playing.

Butts is still coming back from injury but I’m getting the feeling he might have been benched by the club with the knowledge that he’s leaving end of this year anyway.

Really gutted for him.

Anyone else notice in the last 5-6 weeks (except the showdown obv) how much his defensive running and support has improved, his class going both ways against Sydney was unreal. Winning the ball in the defensive half and hitting tough kicks to create great opportunities, of course his clutch tackle on Heeney. Then also when we are attacking his crumbing is just about the best in the league. I pray his body holds up as a Mid because I think he is improving out of sight!

Adelaide will challenge the Match Review Officer’s decision to hand key forward Darcy Fogarty a three-match ban.

Fogarty was cited for striking Sydney’s Harry Cunningham during the second quarter of the Crows’ clash against the Swans at the SCG on Friday night.

The MRO graded the incident as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, resulting in Fogarty being offered a three-match ban.

The date and timing of the hearing will be determined shortly.

I've just started to think about this game and I'm getting similar vibes to the Port game. We have a pretty big rivallry with Collingwood now and I sense they will be treating this like their Grand Final. Hopefully I'm wrong...

It took so long to get to this point that the narrative seemed to be around the club just needing somewhere. But now it is about to be operational, will this take the club to a new level in terms of performance, player attraction/retention, supporter engagement and financial status - Ultimately leading to premierships?
