Low effort post titles will be removed effective immediately

The mod queue is PACKED with low effort posts with titles as ambiguous and pointless as "Help" or "[Year and Make of Car]"

If these end up in the queue, which is hundreds and hundreds of posts long at any given time, I will be removing them from now on.

The mod team does not have time to look at every single post and determine if it's a quality post, a photo, etc. If you want your post to stay, make your post titles communicative.

I had a little Hyundai that I drove like a Mario cart. The sweetest old lady hit me and totaled my car; my car had also been stolen (shout out to the Khia Boyz). I decided to treat myself to a 2019 RDX; I know it’s not the newest, but, I honestly love it!

Boy does Michelin know how to make an aggressive sidewall 🔥

Upgrading from some Continental DWS06’s, yes I ran them till they balded, I like to get every square centimeter out of my tires lol.

Have had them for less than a hundred miles so I can’t review them fully yet, probably got a couple hundred more before I get to the stickiest layer, but I’m enjoying them so far

Hey guys, this is my first time ever buying an Acura and I decided to buy an Acura TLX 2022 Technology earlier this week. Any recommendations on what I should do to my car and is there anything I should know about my car!

26 A Spec Advance. The way this thing handles around mountainsides and the windy coasts makes me want to take this thing out every day.

Did a car camping trip down the California Coast and it was just so smooth. If only I didn't have to fill it up so damn much 😭.

TLX SH-AWD Maintenance

Post image
26 Upvotes

Hello! I’ve owned this 2021 TLX for a few months now. I got ‘er around 31,000 miles and put roughly 3,000 more miles since. I plan on changing the oil around 36,000 miles (every 5k miles), and performing a transfer case drain around 50k miles. I know the maintenance minder recommends 7,500 miles between changes but since it’s turbo’d I want to be safe with it.

Besides wearable items like tires and brakes, is there anything else I should be considering or am I being too cautious? Are there any specific issues with the 2nd gen TLX I should be looking out for? I know the transfer case can be a problem but I don’t drive like a maniac and I don’t plan on boosting it so I’m not as worried.

I plan on owning this for a long time and I want to make sure it’s healthy well beyond 100k miles.

MDX infotainment

I had a few people DM me and ask about the color of the infotainment system on my 2016 Acura MDX, so I figured I’d post it here. Using the Amber color scheme these are the settings I’m using, I think it gives the interior a much cleaner look.

A month with my ADX. . .

I know this car has gotten a lot of hate. I’ve now had my 2025 ADX Aspec for a month now and I love it! I had a 2011 CT200h before this that I adored, but I wanted something a bit bigger. I do wish that the infotainment screen were a bit larger. I could use more bass in the sound system, and I wish I could save my seat settings. Overall these were not deal breakers for me.

2025 Acura Integra A-Spec | Parts Inquiry

Hello, recently purchased a liquid carbon metallic 2025 Acura Integra A-Spec that needs new

fender

hood

bumper cover (With grille)

headlights (Both)

I would prefer to buy OEM since I am keeping the car to use as a daily for work. I have been making a parts list however I keep getting discouraged of where to source the parts, private party, nearby dealership, websites online. Some of the sites seem to sketchy to order from them since they're all meaning OEM in the title. Does anyone have expertise on this or any advice?!

Acura Im not a fan anymore.

Well, I took my 2019 Acura Rdx FWD, in January to get the control arms replaced and other miscellaneous things out-of-pocket cost at the dealership $3800. They ran a multi point inspection. I was like please just fix everything so I have no more problems. They said I would have no more problems than in March. I’m at the bank and my car starts to overheat……. I took it to mechanic. They told me the coolant is low but to watch it incase, I run out of coolant again. The mechanic told me if I keep losing coolant and there are no leaks. It’s most likely a head gasket issue. He told me to just trade it in lol for a RAV4 me being desperate and not wanting to start over on car payments I will have this money pit paid off in January 2027.!!! at this point, I’m pretty fed up with the dealership so I take it to Drivers Edge to get repaired. $4400 later and she’s running good for now… Hopefully for a while… But can Acura be trusted? I found out about the Goodwill after the repair 🙄

My two questions for everyone impacted by this, did you have good luck requesting Goodwill?
Also, what car brand are we all looking at surely we have all dug far enough in our pockets, for Acura/Honda and deserve reliability in a car that’s worth the money!

I love my 2016 Acura MDX sh-awd, parents bought it new in 2016 and I’m now the owner… its in pristine condition and i really love the car, but I only see hate online😭 people criticizing the interior being dated and stuff but to me it looks great! Car has never had any problems and has always been reliable to us…. I feel the car doesn’t look over 5 years old…

help please

Hi!! i recently joined the Acura team (2025 tlx aspec), and the car is beautiful, but i really find it hard to enjoy the car when all i can think about is the gas. I’ve literally never seen a car suck so much gas in just a trip😭😭 for example driving to a place thats 15 mins away (8.3 miles) at 75-80 mph sometimes up to 90 (but for a very small period of time) on the comfort mode, it would take up to 20-25 miles on gas. I find it takes 30-35 when i have the AC on, and i dont even put it up all the way (i keep it at the third level). Can someone please tell me if this is normal for this model, or is something wrong with mine, because i did buy it used and i’m seriously thinking of switching it out for another car because i cant be spending $80 on gas every 5 days😭. Sorry if this is a stupid post, but i didnt think it would be taking up that much gas for a 4 cylinder. Thank you!

Need Help - Acura RDX (2020) Radar sensor issue

Thumbnail

Hello all,

I drive Acura rdx 2020 model (SH-AWD). I don't have a car garage and I park in front of my apartment. 6 months ago it was heavy snow here and my radar sensor got mis-aligned. I took it to a honda dealership because when I was driving to work all these warning lights came on (pictures attached). After diagnostics, they said my sensor was mis-aligned and said they would re-align it using special tools and it would cost $500. Two days ago, it was heavy rain and when I got into car for work, the same lights come back on. I called the honda dealer again ( i go to honda since its cheaper & closer to my home) and they said my sensor needs to be replaced and quoted me $2500.

My question is where is the sensor located, is it behind of the big acura "A" logo or top of windshield near the rearview mirror? Can acura RDX owners comment if they had any issues like this? I think my dealership offers 1 year warranty for their work since the same issue came back, can they work it under warranty? I don't have $2500 to fix this issue now, if I get the sensor/part online, can I do this or I have to go to dealership for this. This is my only car so I need it running smoothly, I am also concerned about safety and brake systems since all these lights came up on the dash. I do highway driving a lot too. Any help/suggestions are highly appreciated, thank you.

Should I buy this 02 RSX type S?

2002 RSX Type S, 150k kms, $11kCAD

I’m 18 years old, my old civic just blew a coilover and tie rods are cooked, I wanted something new already though. Have \\\~$12k CAD once I sell my old shitbox looking to buy a car for commuting 86km on highway to work everyday but have the option to carpool too so I it’s not really everyday, but I love cars and want something that I enjoy/is fun, will last, and I can put time and love into. Even if I’m budgeting heavily in uni in the future want to still be able to drive and hopefully just have to do oil changes + brakes, etc. (regular maintenance).

Really want an RSX type S or 8th gen civic si but the market is rough. This rsx type S was listed for $15k CAD but guy said he’d drop to 11k after everyone telling him it’s too high.

Modified quite extensively and while I would much rather have one stock if it’s been done well and will still be reliable I don’t mind. What do you guys think? Worth it or I should keep looking? Do need to buy a car though in the coming week or so there was a good deal on a base 2007 civic with 118k kms too but wouldn’t make me nearly as happy.

Update: I bought a carfax report cause the seller didn’t want to spend the money…

Registered with normal branding, clean title but car was in 1 minor collision in 2003 another in 2004, vandalized with a 3k claim in 2003,
Theft of auto claim for $0 in 2015 but the cars not declared stolen at least currently, and a comprehensive claim for $0 in 2020

But worst of all,

In 2010 the odometer read 152,999k kms at NAPA AUTOPRO GAP Automotive

In 2015 the vehicle odometer read 192,799k kms at jiffy Lube

And counting how many times it says new owner reported on the carfax it says 13, with this guy owning it since May 10, 2026

What the fuck

2019 TLX Hard to Start When Engine is Warm

My 2019 TLX has over time been slow/reluctant to start when the engine is warm (not a hot day, I mean when I've been driving for at least 15 minutes) and I try to restart between 15-45 minutes after turning off. Once the car has been turned off for at least an hour, it fires right up as it should. It was at the dealer for 2 recalls (including the fuel pump, which one independent mechanic suggested might be the source of the problem), I reported this issue and predictably "could not replicate problem".

Any ideas?

Accura MDX 2010 mileage

I have a 2010 MDX. It's driven 218,000 KM. It's giving average mileage of 15L to a 100KM or 6KM to a litre.

My driving style is not aggressive at all and I drive with a soft footing and acceleration.

I recently got the oil changed too. Should be good to drive for another 8K KM.

Any tips or suggestions to improve the mileage. Any specific service that the car would require?
