GoPro Mission 1: One Month Later – Honest Review
The GoPro Mission 1 is an almost perfect release from GoPro, after owning it for a month, I have some thoughts on what it does right and where it can improve. What do you think the Mission 1 does right, and where would you like to see the camera improve through firmware updates or future iterations?

This Update Makes Mission 1 Footage Look SO Much Better
After watching ChrisMeetsChris’ video mentioning Mission 1’s newest GP-LOG2 LUT — created by Abe Kislevitz — that brings the cinematic look from the normal preset over to GP-LOG2, I thought I’d test it out in Vancouver during the Sweden vs. Canada chaos in Vancouver last week. I have to say, I’m loving the range this log format gives you, and I think it’s a pretty decent starting point for a grade.
Have you tried the LUT linked below? If so, how do you think it compares to the release LUTs?

SD card speed
I’m new to the action camera world and I need advice on what size and speed of SD card. I’m only using it for my upcoming honeymoon and future trips. Nothing extreme.
Do I need a fast card? Or would anyone do for sightseeing videos? The camera I bought is a DJI Osmo Action 4 Standard above. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TY.

Osmo Action 4 on sale for $189.99 — big enough upgrade from a Hero 7, or wait?
Hi all, debating what to do.
I want a good action cam for trips with the kids — to compile highlight reels of our adventures. Nothing too crazy: zoo, parks, go-karting, that kind of thing.
Right now I have a Hero 7 with three OEM batteries from 2017/2018 and one aftermarket battery. They're all showing their age, so I'm after something that lasts longer between swaps, plus a bump in video quality.
The Osmo Action 4 Essential bundle is on sale for $189.99. It only comes with one battery, but that single battery probably outlasts a couple of my aging Hero 7 cells. Still, it's only one. The newer cameras (Ace Pro 2, Osmo Action 6) come as two-battery kits on costco.ca, but for about 2.5–3x the price — current-gen camera plus two OEM batteries.
If I go with the Action 4, an extra OEM battery later is ~$50. Otherwise I'm stuck with aftermarket cells (2–3 for $50, questionable quality).
So my questions:
- Is the Action 4 a big enough upgrade over a Hero 7 to be worth it right now?
- If my Hero 7 batteries finally die, I could just run it off an external battery pack and be careful around water as a stopgap — does that buy me enough time to wait for a clearance deal on a newer multi-battery kit from Costco?
- Basically: is the image quality on the Action 4 that much better, or should I wait it out?
Thanks!

Is this normal? Insta360 wants me to buy the same camera again to replace a broken accessory.

Insta360 Made a Pro Mic… and I Wasn’t Expecting This
After using the Mic Pro for several weeks on the latest firmware, I created this video to give an honest review of the Mic Pro in various recording settings. I include untreated indoor tests, windy bike tests, and outdoor tests in a nature reserve with straight out-of-mic raw audio, as well as Davinci Resolve processed audio. I hope you like this one, as I dedicated quite a few days to its production. Anyway, thanks for your time.

Variable ND Filters for Go Pro or no?
I'm thinking about buying an ND filter for my Go Pro Hero 13 Black but idk if i should get an Variable or a set of ND Filters. Switching the ND's all day could be pretty anoying but i'm not sure if a Variable effects the quality. Any experiences and recommendations? Thanks in Advance!

Good Action Camera with timestamp?
Hi there, I am looking for an action camera with the following specs, anyone got any recommendations?
-Accurate Date & Timestamp on videos, down to seconds
-Able to set date and timestamp easily, including seconds
-can be powered by an external USB battery
-weather resistant without being sealed inside a clear case muffling the sound
I currently have a Sharper Image 720p that kinda does what I need and it can be powered by external USB power bank. However, the video quality is low, it has a low limit on storage card size, and the timestamp is not accurate down to the second.
Looking for something I can deploy reliably in field settings since I have multiple instruments that are all time-synced.
Thanks
