We tested the gameplay. We mainly checked the core mechanics of the game. Progress is going well.

But then I saw that the game is basically dead, there's no way to play it again like old times ? maybe some things Im not aware of ?

I've not dived into modding Hytale yet, but may be looking at doing some soon. But it looks like it may be relatively simple to port over, even with Hytales current modding tools. There are already multiple shooter mods/servers that people have made, even with the game only going into early access a month or two ago.

May give it a go myself when I have some free time.

I managed to build OpenSpades on Mac M4 (arm). Should now build and run on any arm architecture.

To do this I:

• Updated AngelScript to latest.
• Migrated from OpenAl to OpenAl-Soft (which fixes a lot of apple arm bugs)

It is a fork of zerospades which is a fork of openspades. But openspades is no longer maintained.

However as OpenGL is now deprecated, only software renderer is available on Mac. (Working on a Vulkan backend but this is a huuuuuuge task).

I would be happy to submit a PR on any maintained repo you know.

Last year, Aloha.pk ran a one-time Tower of Babel mode with portals that instantly teleported you across the map.

Good news: it’s back starting today and will run for a full month.

How it works:
Portals are scattered around the maps.

• Small portals link to the same colour
• Large portals send you to one of several locations

Just walk through and pop out somewhere totally different it seriously changes how Tower of Babel plays.

No registration needed, anyone can join.

Map rotation includes:

The current server features are:

• Missile (15 killstreak reward)
• Airstrike (10 killstreak reward)
• RPG (8 killstreak reward)
• /medic, use it to play only with shotgun and half damage. While being a medic you can heal and revive other players crouching on them.
• Cannons, some maps have cannons that let you shoot them (check the attached image to see how a cannon structure looks like).
• Mines, each time you revive you have 3 mines to place on the ground.
• RTV, change map when you are bored by typing rtv on the chat
• Squads, play as a squad and respawn near your squad members
