Why YSK, Taylor Farms sells their iceberg lettuce to many food stores using different names and you don’t need explosive diarrhea.

True, I guess niche hobby of mine is to find the root owner of a brand if it's not already publicly known. Sometimes looking up trademarks can reveal some info.

Taylor farms is primarily a distributor and processor whose market share is 18% of the US lettuce market. They buy lettuce from local farms and then bag or cut it up into prepackaged lettuce and sell it to stores and restaurants so it's not quite as bleak as this post makes it look. They don't own the farms, they just buy it from independent farms and resell it to businesses.

It's possible that it was tainted in the processing but it's extremely unlikely. What's most likely happening is that one or two local farmers are playing fast and loose safety regulations and their tainted product gets mixed into the supply line which makes it hard to trace back.
