Squad building

• Duplicate a ship with one tap, full loadout included. Swarm builders, rejoice.
• Pilot cards now show Force and Charge stats, and upgrade cards expand in place to show their full text.
• Reorder the ships in your squad by holding and dragging.

• New MODIFY row under your roll: apply Focus, Calculate, Force, and Reinforce, or spend a Lock to reroll, right in the tray.

Rules and card fixes

• The one-copy-per-ship upgrade rule is enforced, and huge-ship-only upgrades no longer sneak onto small bases.
• Upgrade cards that replace a ship ability now display correctly, and some missing icons in card text are back.

• Tablets: the New Squad button no longer hides behind the taskbar (thanks for the report!).
• Signing out now clears the squad list on that device.

Evening everyone,

I'm someone with a large X-Wing collection and now that official play has ceased and proxies and replacement have become more prevalent, I've been looking for a way to streamline my collection to help assist in the set up and break down of a game and reduce the transportation that I need to do.

I used to have in my binders for each faction (and yes, I have every faction), I'd have the cards, dial backs and base chits. When I went to UK Games Expo there was a company there selling acrylic X-Wing base chits that lacked both initiative number and name so it could go on any ship.

I found these appealing because those base chits being stored in coin page style binder could take up quite a lot of space and whereas before I'd have a binder per faction, just getting rid of the base chits has allowed me to half the binders down to era (with Scum being their own thing).

However, I still have the dial backs. What I would do is if I am flying a particular ship I'd take out my dial and put them in one of those dial expansions that FFG used to sell. Not really an arduous process but one that often meant if I changed my mind when I went to a game night I couldn't simply fly what I wanted. The size of my binders also mean that I couldn't bring more than one faction with me whilest going forward it's entirely possible to bring two, if I could compact my folders down even more I might be able to bring three factions with me.

Thus I come to you all with a question; is there a generic dial out there on the market that could be used for any ship and has every possible maneuver, speed, and colour on it, alongside that is there anyone who sells maneuver cards for ships as I would need these to make sure I am not performing illegal maneuvers.

I had stupidly stored my collection in the basement and we had a mold problem there. There is not a spot of mold on my collection itself but it was stored in an area that had high levels of mold spores in the air. I've washed the plastic parts (ships, dice, stands, etc) but so much of the rest of it is cardboard. I'd consider just buying new if that were possible but since the game is discontinued I can't really replace it. Is it even necessary to replace it since there's no visible mold on the cardboard or paper items?

Just wanted to share the fleet I have assembled over the years. It’s a mix of XWing Minis, 3D Prints, and Legos all put together to make a modestly to scale Rebel Fleet

Got a game coming up (2nd Ed) and my opponent is going to be fielding his double defenders specced out with upgrades, against which I've never won.

Any tips?

The heavily modified CR-40 Light Corvette that would become known as the Nejaa Halcyon started its service life as a standard several decades before the outbreak of the Clone Wars as a freighter and would continue to serve in that role even when it was drafted into service ferrying military supplies for the GAR during the war. Eventually, during the Galactic Civil War, the vessel was renamed after fallen Clone Wars hero and Corellian Jedi Nejaa Halcyon and was outfitted with an array taken from a derelict IGV-55 Surveillance Vessel whose who died used mysterious means.

What are your favorite online leagues?

Since X-Wing is out of print, and tracking down the cards and tokens secondhand is a pain (and getting expensive). I wanted a way for people to actually play without hunting all that stuff down while still keeping the fun of playing on table, so I built Squadron Datapad.

It's a squad builder plus an in-game token tracker. After building your list, you can open a screen that sets up all your tokens, and manages your damage cards. No cardboard to set up, nothing to pack away after. You just open it and play, and close it when you're done.

I'm paying for it out of my own pocket, so there's a donation page if you want to chip in and help keep it running, but no pressure.

For anyone that has feedback they would like to leave, i have a form in the settings!

I've never organized a tournament but a group two hours away and my local group will get together for a tournament. We'll invite others but we're pretty far away, so I imagine it will just be us.

We're thinking of making it an official XWA store championship (and my apologies if I'm getting terms wrong), and I'd think we'll use rollbetter.

My question is: Is there flexibility with rollbetter to prioritize people playing people from the other town? Like no one wants to travel hours to play the same people anyway. And if there was a way and we did that, does that mean it can't be a store championship?

Lastly, any other pros or cons I should consider?

I am a brand new player (I've played the starter set scenario once by myself) and I have a fun idea that needs your help. I do have a community here that I can play with. But I don't want just normal X-Wing ships. I had to be extra, as always. I am currently printing a bunch of Covenant ships at X-Wing scale to play with them!

So far I have two Seraph Class Fighters painted and ready. I've just completed a Phantom that's getting painted soon. I plan on printing 2 Banshee Interceptors and maybe a Terrasque-Class Heavy Strike Craft(if I can find one).

My question to you all is, help with ideas on custom dials, pilot cards, upgrades, etc I should do for these ships?

Should I create my own? How do I do that? Should I just take stuff from the already existing game? Where should I get pegs and bases? Are there questions I don't even know I should be asking?
