Love the way you can make this bike unique and truely yours. Just needs some better bar ends and she’s as good as finished. Never getting rid of her.

California boy, loving motorcycles from nearly birth. Going on 60 finally can have unlimited freedom. The now used Wr250 put over 5000 miles single tracking the Wasatch front with family.

Has anyone else noticed that under hard braking the ABS is constantly engaging, even in sport mode? I'm talking about fast canyons and track riding. Is there anyway to dial it down?

Hi guys, question about flashing, I see that VCyclenut is preffered but it is in US, is there a consensus for reliable flasher in EU?!

This is such a versatile motorcycle! It can take on soooo many different personalities!!! I started with a standard '24, wanted to make it a little sporty, so I got the Yamaha upper cowl and seat cowl... Then things got a little crazy! Let's see what everyone has done to make your XSR special.

ASV levers don't seem to have XSR900 GP specific item, do you guys know if they fit? Any other recommended levers?

Guys what should I do vcyclenut or 2wdw when I send it out for a tune.
What the difference?

Anyone else experience rough or hesitant cruising at low RPMs, plus excessive clutch noise? I know the Gen 1 CP3 engine clutch is naturally loud, but mine occasionally makes another noise that's noticeably louder than usual—almost like plastic scraping against something.
What do you guys think I should look into first?
Thanks, and ride safe.

Was riding early this morning , s1000rr went past and we pulled up to a red light. Light went green and I did a mildly aggressive start and kept it at about 3/4th throttle . That bike flew past me like I was driving a yugo. It was insane. The xsr is no slouch and I know that liter bikes are crazy fast but just seeing it gave me a whole new respect for those insane bikes and those who ride them

Edit: SOLVED!
Hey everyone!
I’m reaching out today because I’m having a weird issue with my 2022 XSR 900. For about a month now, the Cruise Control light has been flashing completely at random.
Sometimes I can ride for an hour with zero issues. Other times, it starts flashing after just 5 minutes. If I turn the bike completely off and back on, it might work fine again for a bit, or it might start flashing immediately upon startup.
Has anyone run into this before? Here is what I’ve checked so far:
Brake light switches: I checked both front and rear switches, and everything seems fine. Just to be sure, I disassembled and cleaned them, but the issue is still there.
Front tire change: I recently got a new front tire installed. Could this be related somehow? Maybe a misaligned wheel speed sensor or a bumped ABS ring?
I did a quick search in the sub, but I mostly found posts mentioning this issue in relation to the official recall, or maybe I missed something.
For reference, I’m located in Europe. Gilles tooling levers.
Thanks in advance for any help or insights you can share!

Guy I have a question. I am very new to sport bikes.
I have a 2025 XSR just got it. When I hit like 70mph plus I don’t know if this is just me going from a cruiser to sport bike but I feel so unstable like a gust of wind can throw my bike. By accident I got on a free way and that was awful I was doing 85 ish but it not confidence inducing at all. Anyone know this feel is it a me or should I my bike be behaving better. I even have a wind screen on it

So we’ve been on and off about this project and I wanted to post my completed project, thoughts, and pointers as it seems to be a trendy bit right now.
I was looking for brake performance improvement as stock brake lines are not a good fit for heavy downhill braking through some of the north ga mountains. Braided lines and a fluid swap are a good start to get rid of the rubber lines that don’t support as well under pressure.
Highlights
Lowlights
Speigler direct was a mistake. I ordered the lines and the reservoir through them. Their customer service answers the phone quick, but they are dicks and I did not appreciate the lack of knowledge, care, or follow up. I got the reservoir and it looked used and missing parts, and they acted like they were doing me a favor to fix it. They are also about $80 more than Sportbiketrackgear. They don’t include the banjo bolts so I had to order those separate. Sport bike track gear includes all of this and it’s direct from Spiegler. Go figure but it was a boondoggle no doubt.
I wasn’t prepared for the amount of time it does take. It’s about a two day job if you are fully on it. If not it took me about a week. Granted there was some parts shenanigans but on and off working at it. Bleeding off the system has to be done overnight so that’s why it takes a little longer. To fully route, torque, double check, etc, it’s a good winter project.
You have to pull the tank. I siphoned most of mine out, you don’t have to but it helps if you don’t have a helper.
Last - on the color, it was hard to tell on the website but the red looked brighter to me than it is. It’s not a great match so I wasn’t super thrilled, but they’ve grown on me since I put them on. I felt like the black would just get lost, in retrospect, that may have been fine.
