Reading a book about the history of the spice trade. All the quotes are from 3rd century Romans and 8th century historians and Chinese doctors from a thousand years ago, etc. etc. And then suddenly Jeeves and his special pick-me-up’s make an appearance. I had to share with the people who would appreciate the reference.

It seems the only text form available for free is U of Georgia, but straight text is not maybe easy to read. Project Gutenberg doesnt even have a pdf. I figure someone might want a .docx because of readabilty and adjustability of presentation.

Arbitrarliy here it is Times New Roman, 12 pt. 0.04 between paragraphs. .. It has first line indents .. Claire's letter is in italics (which one cannot do for a .txt file) .. the word count seems a bit off for some reason.

From the Wodehouse short story "The Story of Cedric"

Sorry if this has been done already. Every Wodehouse fan’s favorites are Bertie Wooster and Emsworth (maybe Jeeves and Galahad if you’re in that one percent), but what are some underrated characters that really stick out to you for one reason or another? Anyone who isn’t one of the title characters or main reoccurring protagonists of a series counts!

There’s quite a few contenders who stick out in my mind: Sue Brown, who got in plenty of digs at the expense of her betrothed. Stiffy Byng, one of the many tough girls that Bertie actually likes for some reason. I really like the Wodehouse women who have a dash of the unhinged in them.

One character I never see talked about is Oofy Proser who might be my third favorite in the Wodehouse canon and I think Plum himself might have had a soft spot for him too seeing how many stories he gets causally thrown into. Practically all the Drones members fall into the familiar Bertie Wooster archetype, so I think he really stands out and his stories with Bingo have great comedy. I enjoy the idea, although it’s possibly just in my imagination, that he’s got a foot in organized crime. It just seems to suit him somehow.

I happen to know the former is lacking in several of the essential vitamins, thanks to running into Freddie Threepwood.

I know what you're thinking — he's in America. But I think what happened was, he came back, don't-you-know.
