My neighbour casually gifted me a Doctorinox
He knows that I like Victorinox and he collects a lot of things, including knives. I cleaned and oiled some of them that he used and abused. Since her wife is a doctor, he had some nice promotional 58mm.
This one is in good shape, except some scratches on the scales and the brand sanded off on the other side. An unusual piece for sure!

NKD - Finally got a Cybertool L and used it to build a PC
I had been wanting a Cybertool L for a while now, and finally caught a nice sale (not the Walmart one unfortunately since I don’t live in the US) and I’m really happy with it, it’s not as bulky as I thought. Coincidentally, I was just getting around to building my new gaming PC and decided to just use my cybertool instead of bringing out the ifixit kit. It was a great start to what I hope is a long and enjoyable time with this amazing pocket knife.

Sick of Walmart posts yet? Well here's another!
Can't believe this was real and delivered. Was able to snag 7 walnut huntsmans, 1 mountaineer, 1 classic for my fiance, and 1 black huntsman.
I know people will immediately curse me and call greed on the walnut purchases, but just know I'm not reselling them and I will be getting them engraved for my groomsmen and dad's at my wedding next year.
The mountaineer has quickly replaced my pioneer x for edc, I always missed the scale tools and a file, and this is perfect for me I believe. I carry it in a leather slip with a olight pen mini and I can't ask for much more in my edc.

Victorinox i did the hard part (RnD)
now it's on you, please make it to production /s
nvm, i know you can do it better :)
(but until that, someone might find it useful)
Parts needed -
- any "team screwdriver" SAK ~$25+ (i had 2 layer $32 tinker)
- roxon 4mm bit set with adapter ~$8 (there's quite many to choose from, i think)
- drop of glue of your taste (~$2-5, i used jb weld epoxy, might be optional though)
Time spent 40-60 mins. Chapters 1-3 - 20 mins each, last one is optional.
Roxon adapter is 7mm outside diameter, has 4mm hex bits hole on one end, and 4x4mm square hole on the other end.
Precautions - SAK back driver is low torque, i'd give it 5n.m. max, it's where it's flexing hard already; so - it's for screwing plastic, toys, computer components, soft wood, and thin bolts and screws.
Warranty is likely void, though no disassembly needed.
Chapter 1 - Adapter
002 - line up, adapter length 25mm, bits length up to 30mm, average bit - 28mm
003 - it's too big to fit
004 - even bit itself is too long
005 - need to take 5mm off of adapter from square side
006 - this much (10mm) goes inside of adapter, the rest needs to get off
007 - 6mm needs to hang from SAK driver side (whole round cylinder needs to be 6mm), the rest gets off
008 - playing with my spinner toys spinning tools, make sure to always cool down the barrel, because of magnet inside, same applies to bit, because of bits factory heat treatment
009 - things on the left side to let go
010 - assembled and aligned - perfect match and fit
Chapter 2 - SAK
011 - point of no return, always wear protection gear
012 - give it some pacman vibes
013 - dry run fitment
014 - take off protection (she said), holds well with magnet, a bit wobbly though (skill matters)
015 - side view and gaps - no gaps, and it's peeking out about 1mm, imo - adapter could safely be 6mm outer diameter
016 - apply some glue of your choice on the tip from pic 012 and let it cure
Chapter 3 - Shine - preview pic 001
- take it to polywatch massage (for scales)
- give it some warm bath
- blow it with fresh compressed air
- gently apply soft baby oil
- insert the tip all the way in
- put it tanning for 20 mins, take a few pics
you're golden.

Just joined the club
Just got my first Victorinox multitool (spirit X) and I can’t be more satisfied. Any suggestions for additional SAK?

And I've finally completed the Cybertool set
It has taken me a while but I have finally sourced a Cybertool Lite to complete the run of S, M, L, LITE (without the bigger toolset SwissChamp SAKs of course like the XLT, XXL, etc. which have the Cybertool as fillers).
I have EDC'd the L for some time now but it now has competition even though I still prefer the wood saw and metal file over the led and mag glass...now if only there was a combo of the two! The SwissChamp XLT is too bulky with IMO its strange choice of extra tools and the XXL is in a league of its own 😉. Obviously it doesn't exist and it's just a pipe dream but that doesn't mean it shouldn't exist!
So my pocket space choice will be determined day to day between the L and the Lite

Swiss Champ Victorinox Swiss Champ - Go for it.
I've tried quite a few SAKs over the years, including the CyberTool M, but I always had my eye on the SwissChamp.
After watching countless YouTube videos, I kept thinking it looked huge and way too bulky to carry. Still, I wanted one SAK that could handle pretty much any situation—urban, outdoors, travel, you name it.
Then I found a brand-new SwissChamp for €60, so I couldn't pass it up.
When it arrived, I was honestly amazed. It's much smaller in person than it looks on camera. I was pleasantly surprised by how manageable it actually is. Yes, it's thicker than most SAKs, but it doesn't feel nearly as bulky as YouTube videos make it seem.
I also picked up a KeySmart pocket clip for it, and it makes a big difference. It keeps the SwissChamp securely in place, makes it feel much more pocket-friendly, and it even fits comfortably in the small fifth pocket of my jeans.
So if you've been putting off buying a SwissChamp because you think it's too big, I'd say go for it. It's an incredible all-around SAK, and in my opinion, videos make it look much larger than it really is.

Pocket Jewelry scales recommendation
I would like to elevate my favourite SAK - Compact with some premium scales.
Are there any practical differences between titanium, stab wood and carbon fiber? Except the weight difference and tool slots.
What scale material is the best for the premium feel happy to put it in my pocket SAK?

add knife model here No future for my old Wenger Classic 17?
I found this old Wenger Classic 17, probably belonged to my dad or granddad. Part of the scissors is missing and the large blade is in pretty rough shape. I sent it to Victorinox for repair, but it came back unrepaired — no parts are available for this Wenger model anymore. Instead they offered me 30% off a new Climber (off Victorinox’s original retail price).
I turned that down. Now I’m trying to figure out what to do with this thing. I haven't found spare parts like the missing part of the scissors but it has some parts that could be interesting for a mod, like the file. So my options are basically: leave it alone as a keepsake, or make it my first Wenger teardown.
What would you do?

add knife model here NSD: Climber
Got new solid black scales for my Climber. Wanted Plus but got regular because they came with color-matched toothpick and tweezers. Received Plus scales. Pen doesn’t match but don’t care. Never getting transparent scales again. The color change was bad and it’s not like I left it in the sun ever.

Came in late to the deals but I'm not complaining.

Walmart glitch
If anyone got a bunch of SAKs during the glitch and feels generous enough to sell me a 91mm or two so I can double/triple my collection, please message me. If you want retail price, I can pay that directly to online stores.
I’m interested in Super Tinker, Huntsman, Climber (my current), or similar with 5+ tools.
Thanks in advance.

Issue with new Swiss Spirit MX Clip?
Hi all, curious if this is worth returning / sending for repair. Got a spirit MX clip a few days ago in advance of some travel. Unfortunately, seems like there is pretty decent play on the pliers (this is with very little force applied, like it naturally clicks open like this and can wobble a bit). Own a few SAK and haven’t seen any QC issue like this before.
Also seems like a small casting defect, but doesnt matter to me, more worried about the play in the pliers.
What do you think? Not sure if return js an option as I threw out the original packaging. Reached out to warranty with some photos but bo response yet.

Gifted one of the Walmart sale SAKs to a stranger
got a few Compacts off the Walmart sale and left a brand new one out in the open under the Brooklyn Bridge.
after a couple minutes some old guy gave it a double take. picked it up, smiled and put it in his pocket.

Got my Classic SD and Spartan back from Victorinox Service!
Big shoutout to everyone on my previous post who let me know about Victorinox’s lifetime warranty and service program.
I sent in my Classic SD and Spartan, and they just came back fully serviced and looking like new!
Here’s what was done:
Both knives: Replaced the scales, fully sharpened the blades, and lubricated all moving parts.
Classic SD: Replaced the spring and added new tweezers and a toothpick.
Spartan: Added the mini screwdriver.
Super impressed with their service and turn-around time. Thanks again to this community for pointing me in the right direction!

108 Victorinox GAK and 84mm golfer?
Do you think Victorinox will be able to service my 108 GAK? It’s got like discolored scales and the blade has deep scratches. The golfer has a blunted tip. I can add pictures when I get home from work.

Today's find
Today's find is a 4 layer assembled in an order I've not encountered before.
* Opener Layer
* Saw layer
* Scissor layer,
* Knife layer
I am putting it in the 1952 to 1957 production range. Scissor and Saw are stuck closed so I've got some oil soaking in them, but worst case a spa trip to Ibach will sort her out.
