Hey everyone,

I made a mistake while withdrawing VET from Binance to VeWorld. I accidentally selected the BNB Smart Chain (BSC / BEP-20) network instead of native VeChainThor.

The transaction was marked completed by Binance, and the tokens landed at my exact 0x address on the BSC network.

Here is the issue:

• My VeWorld account was set up using Google Login (Smart Wallet / Account Abstraction).
• Because it’s an AA Smart Wallet and not a standard EOA with a traditional seed phrase / private key export, I can’t simply import a key into MetaMask to access the BSC side of that address.
• The address exists on BSC, but the smart contract logic hasn't been deployed on that chain.

I have already sent an email to veworld with my TxID and wallet details.

Has anyone with a Google-authenticated VeWorld wallet run into this before? Is there any known cross-chain contract deployment / recovery process available through the VeChain team for BEP-20 transfers?

Appreciate any insight or experience from anyone who's dealt with this. Thanks!

WHAT BETTERBAG IS

BetterBag describes itself simply: "Be Better. Use (a) BetterBag & Earn $B3TR!" In its own words, "Say goodbye to plastic and hello to rewards ... every time you shop with a reusable bag, you earn $B3TR." It is a reusable-bag plastic-reduction app on VeBetterDAO. The loop is a habit many people already have: shop with a reusable bag, then submit one photo that shows the reusable bag with your groceries inside, alongside a clear physical receipt. The submission is checked against published rules. The receipt's date must match the day of submission, and it must list at least five items, which should also be visible in the bag, and each submission is approved or denied against those rules.

Rewards are shared out each allocation round and sent automatically to a user's wallet every Tuesday, with no manual claim step; a single approved submission during the round qualifies a participant. Rewards deepen with ecosystem participation: a tiered multiplier recognizes KYC and node holders and VeDucks NFT holders, and stackable boosts reward users who vote and who endorse eligible apps in VeBetterDAO (VeRecycle, BetterMode, or BetterBag). BetterBag keeps the barrier low with a generous definition of a reusable bag: totes, backpacks, boxes, even paper bags all qualify.

THE NUMBERS

Two notes on the window. BetterBag runs on one of the larger, steadier active bases in the ecosystem, around 1,225 weekly active users, with activity holding consistently near 3,300 approved actions per round, a picture of consistency rather than spikes. And the distribution ratio climbed every round, from 43.7% to 48.3% to 52.1%, meaning a growing share of earned B3TR is reaching users; with rewards sent automatically each Tuesday, that reflects the app's no-manual-claim design working as intended.

WHAT'S WORKING

It rewards a habit people already have, at almost no friction. BetterBag does not ask users to adopt a new behaviour. It rewards one many people already practise: bringing a reusable bag to shop. Participation is a single photo of the bag, the groceries, and the receipt, and the definition of a qualifying bag is deliberately broad, totes, backpacks, boxes, even paper bags, so the barrier to a first successful submission is low.

A rigorous, transparent proof standard makes the impact data trustworthy. The submission rules are published in-app and specific: a reusable bag with groceries visible inside, plus a clear physical receipt whose date matches the day of submission and that lists at least five items. Submissions that miss any requirement are denied. Paired with explicit anti-farming measures, one wallet per user and physical receipts only, this produces a record where each approved action represents a real, verified shopping trip.

Rewards deepen with ecosystem participation. Beyond the base reward, a tiered multiplier recognizes KYC and node holders and VeDucks NFT holders, and stackable boosts reward users who vote and who endorse eligible apps in VeBetterDAO. The design gives committed users a clear way to amplify their rewards and aligns everyday shopping with wider participation in the DAO.

Rewards reach users automatically, and the share is climbing. A single approved submission during a round qualifies a user for that round's distribution, and B3TR is sent straight to their wallet every Tuesday, with no manual claim to forget. The distribution ratio rose every round in the window, from 43.7% to 52.1%, a sign that a growing share of earned B3TR is actually reaching participants.

MARKET POSITION

Single-use plastic bags are a massive, largely unsolved problem, and it starts at the checkout. UNEP estimates that roughly 5 trillion plastic bags are used worldwide each year. A typical single-use bag is used for only about twelve minutes but can persist in the environment for centuries, and an estimated fewer than 5% are recycled; the OECD's Global Plastics Outlook puts recycling of all plastic at around 9%. The point of failure is the moment of checkout, which is exactly the moment BetterBag targets.

Small incentives produce enormous shifts in bag behaviour, so the premise is proven. The clearest real-world evidence comes from the United Kingdom's carrier-bag charge: after a small levy was introduced, single-use bag sales at major retailers fell by more than 98%, from roughly 140 bags per person per year in 2014 to about one in 2023-24 (UK DEFRA). More broadly, products carrying sustainability claims grew 28% cumulatively over five years versus 20% for those without, measured across some 600,000 products (McKinsey and NielsenIQ, 2023). BetterBag runs the positive-incentive version of the same lever: it rewards the reusable choice rather than taxing the plastic one.

A growing reusable-goods market, and consumers ready to act. The global reusable packaging market was valued at about $135.8 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $190.1 billion by 2030, a 5.9% compound annual growth rate (Grand View Research), with the narrower reusable shopping-bag segment estimated at roughly $11 to $13 billion in 2024. Surveys consistently find that a large majority of consumers say sustainability matters to them and that many will pay more for it (McKinsey; NielsenIQ). The audience BetterBag speaks to, people who already carry a reusable bag, is large and expanding.

Regulation is moving in the same direction, everywhere. As of 2018, 127 of 192 countries reviewed, about two-thirds, had adopted legislation to regulate plastic bags (UNEP and WRI, Legal Limits on Single-Use Plastics). The EU set binding reduction targets of no more than 90 lightweight bags per person by 2019 and 40 by 2025 (EU Directive 2015/720). This regulatory momentum makes the reusable-bag habit increasingly the default, a tailwind for any product that rewards it.

BUSINESS MODEL PATHS

Each path below is forward-looking and grounded in BetterBag's existing architecture: a photo-and-receipt app that rewards a verified reusable-bag purchase, with a multiplier system, automatic on-chain payouts, and a growing record of verified sustainable-shopping activity. They are possibilities to explore, not prescriptions.

AI & AGENT OPPORTUNITIES

The scenarios below are forward-looking possibilities to explore rather than a catalogue of current features. Each is grounded in what BetterBag already has, a stream of photo-and-receipt submissions, a plastic-reduction premise, and automatic on-chain rewards, and follows a user's journey from first submission to a lasting habit.

An onboarding concierge that welcomes everyone. A conversational assistant could walk a first-time user through a clean, approved submission, answer questions like whether a particular bag qualifies, and explain exactly why a submission was denied, so users get it right the first time, at the moment most newcomers are won or lost. Built to be inclusive, voice-guided and hands-free, able to describe aloud whether a photo meets the requirements, it would open BetterBag to visually impaired, elderly, and low-literacy users whom a purely visual, rules-strict flow can exclude.

A bring-your-bag reminder that learns your routine. Most ideas here act after shopping; this one acts before. By learning each user's shopping frequency and typical shopping days, an agent could nudge them to grab a reusable bag right before their next likely trip, catching the behaviour at the one moment it can still be changed. Prevention, timed to the individual's real rhythm, rather than a generic reminder.

A digital-receipt enablement agent. BetterBag currently accepts only physical receipts, noting that digital ones are too easy to farm. A robust AI verification agent, authenticating an e-receipt's provenance, cross-checking its metadata, and flagging manipulation, is precisely what could unlock digital receipts safely. Here the agent does not just improve the existing flow; it removes a stated roadmap blocker and expands how, and how many, people can participate.

A personal impact companion, coach, and challenge engine.
