Looks like two new REMASTERED vinyls, cassette and CD!

All of my favourite unwound songs from the first 4 albums completely remastered and resequenced into a compilation. Includes new remasters of Hexenszene, Kantina/were are and was or is, and all souls day! This was my hardest remaster yet, and I put lots of effort into making it sound as perfect as it could be. Hope you guys enjoy! Please give any feedback you have.

It just crossed my mind and I'm not sure if this has ever been clarified.

The album was recorded before fake train and scrapped until before repetition, I expect we all know that, but I'm wondering if the album art was designed in 92 with the initial release plans for the album or came along when they finally decided to set it free upon this world in 94/95. (Remixed in 94, released in 95.) Does anybody know if this has ever been disclosed?

I’m wondering What is the consensus on this release… every other version is ridiculously priced but this doesn’t have the insert and there’s very few on the market but on the other hand this one is normally priced and I would love a copy. Just want to know if it’s worth

this sounds like complete gibberish to me i cant sync vocals on Spotify and while looking at them externally all i hear is "We held our lives" like what is he saying? Please say its not just gibberish

I think it's a very informative interview, both for the subject matter and Sara's life, especially since the timeline overlap a lot with Unwound's reuinion tours.

can anyone tell me if Justin's friend who he wrote this about was transgender? He said the title "lady elect" was a reference to the "elect lady", the founder of the Shakers. Their idea being that god is both male and female, and the Elect Lady was an embodiment of that female aspect of god, the same way Jesus was male. The only reason I can think of for why Justin chose that title for the song was that his friend who committed suicide had been between both male and female and had "elected" to be a lady. Am I interpreting this right? I can't find anyone else theorizing this online but I have thought it to be the case for a long time.

I’d like to think that I’m a big fan of unwound, but something I’ve noticed is that I focus more on the performance of all the members rather than the actual lyrics and what they could mean/mean to me. Am I in the minority? What lyrics have really stuck with you or some that you really connect with?

i am currently listening to leaves turn inside you (im on the end of october all over and getting into summer freeze) and this album is genuinely rewiring my whole soul right now. i literally had to log onto reddit just to peep it out to you guys and oh my lord i am actually enjoying this album so much. i've only ever really listened to random songs off this album but not ever a whole playthrough and ive been missing out.

i am in the process of ordering this immediately.. but while that happens, does anyone have any albums off unwounds discography that are my like 'next step' to leaves turn inside of you? just name another unwound album that is really good please please. they have too many to pick from 😭

Despite Unwound being my favorite band, I almost never listen to Challenge For A Civilized Society. However, I was listening to it the other day and it reminded me of just how good Lifetime Achievement Award is.

I love how bleak and mysterious this song is, the really subdued instrumental really adds to that. I love the part towards the end where the backwards vocals come in. And the lyrics are incredible and bleak. I understand it's about only being known/acclaimed until after your death. The final lines are chilling:

Abstraktions, From New Plastic Ideas, Or for me, Live, from Reykjavik, Iceland, On June 30th, 1999. Would for me be one of my favorite live performances from a band ever. It's also my song for the end of the world, just listen to it and agree !

if you haven't heard it this is the last song from their radio kaos session (included on kid is gone) and at the end there's some talking, including some girls from the station saying what they thought about the music. and I just hate the fact that you just barely ever get more niche interest casual discussion radio stations anymore ever since that telecoms act in 96... which was the year I was born so I never got to experience the old radio. sad.

If my memory serves me correct, leaves turn inside you was realized as a two-disc CD set, and one of those CD was a cd-rom that has a few video files for a select group of songs, including Treachery, I think.

Man this was 25 years ago but I remember the Treachery video being this really crude black and white cartoon of a mouse and a few animals going up and down on a roller coaster. Kid you not.

My CD collection was stolen from my car in brooklyn a few year later, so I can't verify this.

Made this video with one of my favorite unwound songs, Treachery ! (this part is heavenly.) And the movies are a bunch of creepy VHS Japanese movies I've never seen. I would have to find the YouTuber that I took the clips from.

I was in a record store and the guy told me that he had something to show me because of my unwound shirt, well of course I just had to buy it for 40 bucks. Totally worth it
