If you have experienced USJ and would like to contribute to the discussion, we'd love to have your voice included.

We have just been begun creating the sub, so we don't even have icons and images, let alone an FAQ. We are on it, but in the mean time, go ahead and post.

Silver Week Chaos

How busy does USJ get during Silver Week? I'm trying to decide whether I should just bite the bullet and buy the VIP ticket. I'm worried the public holidays will make the park extremely crowded and that the trip won't be as enjoyable. Has anyone been during Silver Week? Was the VIP pass worth it? Or should I risk it with Express Pass ??

Looking for 2 people to join our VIP Private Tour on September 01

My girlfriend and I have booked the 5-hour VIP private tour with dinner on September 1. Since the tour is for 4 people, we’re looking for two more people to join us on the tour and split the cost.

We paid 248,000 yen (€1,460), so the cost per person would be €365. In addition, everyone will need their own park admission ticket.

If anyone is interested, feel free to send me a DM. We’d appreciate it if you speak German or English.

USJ July 26- Oct 24 Twilight pass for sale

Hi Everyone,
when me and my husband visited USJ, we bought a ticket for ourselves via Klook. But when we purchased it, because of the app's UI (we were on phone), it showed us the date and we purchased two twilight tickets), but unfortunately when we scanned the QR , it turned out to be valid only after july 26. So basically we were trying to get the tickets for June 26 but because the app did not show the month, it was one month later's ticket. So now we have the ticket and if anyone wants it, we can give to them. Please DM.

Me and my friends have different fast passes but still want to be on rides together- will it work out?

Post image

My friend and I booked the same fast passes originally (for 8 rides, “Minecart & Fantasy Special”) on klook, but about 5 minutes after my I got an email saying they sold out of tickets and my purchase would be cancelled and refunded.

Klook says the have a no cancellation/refund policy once you book so instead of making my friend try and contact them and figure that out, I booked the other one for 8 rides (Minion & Minecart Special) since it actually looked the same except for one ride where her entry is from 16:20-16:50 and mine is 17:00-17:30.

If we both showed up around 16:50 and she just waited for me in the entrance for like 10 minutes, would it still work out that we could ride together? Normally I would just assume so but I hear Japan and DisneySea are strict…

Also, my other friend (ride times in blue text in the pic) who will also be there with her family only bought the 4 fast pass option but theres about 3 rides where its the same kinda situation… I’m hoping we can ride some rides with her as well.

Any insight appreciated 🙏

Express pass question

Hello,

I planned on going to USJ in October and wanted to buy an express pass for both the regular rides and the HHN attractions. Not sure if they would be like two separate QR codes or something I’m not too sure how it works. If anyone has done this before where they bought two different express passes on the same day if they can shed some light on that.

I’m hoping someone can help me. I went to USJ on June 30 and listened to song #5 on Hollywood dream and had a blast. Does anyone know what the song was? The ride conductor said it was some special USJ anniversary song

USJ has announced more details for this year’s Hamikuma show, including two new characters. Looks like Hamikuma Soul and Punk will not be appearing this year.

Halloween Horror Night Express Passes

Anyone know when they'll release the express tickets for the horror night stuff for tourists?

I guess they only released them tonight for residents and I haven't been able to get the English site to load them. I don't remember it being this difficult to get express passes.

Thanks!

Better to visit on September 10 or 11?

Hi all,

I’m visiting USJ (and Japan) for the first time in September. I was originally planning to go on Thursday September 10, but I see it closes early (6:30 instead of 9:30) for press/influencer preview of HHN. Would I have a better experience instead going on the 11th to experience HHN? My primary concern would be that it’s so packed I wouldn’t be able to get on anything. I was planning to buy an express pass with Minecart Madness and Mario Kart.

Thanks!

Express Pass 7 worth it? Which time slot?

Hello. I am planning to visit USJ in first week of December and seeing the trend that without express pass its not worth it. I want to cover 9-10 rides including 3 SNW, 2 Harry Potter, 2 Jurassic Park, Jaws, Space Fantasy and any one of Hollywood Dream Ride. So looked at Express Pass 7 which seems to be covering the above most popular rides which I want to ride. So I will only be left with 2-3 rides (Jaws, Hollywood Dream and Space Fantasy) which I need to line up for and can use Single Rider lane. This seems to be a good strategy imo.

But last few days I have been keeping an eye on USJ app and noticed that after 7pm all these rides have a wait time between 10-30 min excluding SNW.

Hence, I have few questions:
1. Is it worth getting Express Pass 7 for a visit in first week of December?
2. If yes, how do you decide what time slot is best as there are almost 18 options on USJ Japanese website.
3. If I rope drop and get straight into SNW, is it worth getting evening slot for SNW since I want to see it both in morning and evening with lights? Can I visit Kinopio cafe and click pictures in the evening?
4. At the same time, I want to be in Harry Potter Area for the light show, so which time would be the best?
5. The sunset is around 4-4:30pm in December first week so which slot is best?

Thanks

Question about the Biohazard/Resident Evil: Deep Dive horror house.

Hi all!

I'm going to USJ For the first time in November and am a big resident evil fan! Now they've announced the new RE horror house, will I need to buy a seperate ticket to enter or will I be okay with a normal park ticket?

Surprisingly no Pokémon presence this year (or at least nothing announced so far) and no Chucky house.

Excited for the Jaws overlay and for the Ado zombie dance to make a return.

Looking to share a USJ VIP Private Tour (5 hours) - November 2

My partner and I (In our 20s and 30s) are planning to get the USJ VIP 5 hours package for 2 Nov 2026. We're from the UK, if it matters.

The package is minimum for 4 - so was wondering if anybody might be interested in the other 2 tickets so we can share?

We're a fairly easy going couple, and would be happy to discuss on what our route would be.

Prices are not out yet at the moment, but it'll likely be around the range of US$1,537.37 to US$2,343.24. That is for 4, so about US$384-US$586 per person.

Single Rider Line

Hi all,

I did have a quick search before posting, but couldn't find a definitive answer.

I'll be going on a solo trip to Japan in September and plan on spending a day at USJ.

Please can someone let me know which rides have a single rider line?

Also, is it worth me getting an Express Pass or will a get by ok with the above.

TIA!

Monster Hunter Collab?

Hi everyone,

My gf and I are planning our trip to Japan in Sept-Oct and considering a visit to USJ while we're in Osaka. I checked their current and upcoming events in hopes of some Monster Hunter related events but unfortunately nothing showed up. Are there any Monster Hunter themed activities in the park even when there are no events?

First-timer to USJ. Any tips / advice?

Hello, my wife & I will be going USJ next week using the Twilight Pass (from 3pm onwards). Any tips / advice on maximising the experience? A few questions I will kindly like to ask:

1) I bought my Twilight pass on a 3rd-party platform (like Klook). Do I need to add it to my USJ App? If yes, Do I add both tix into my app so that I can try for the timed-passes for me and my wife or she has to do it on her own end?

2) Any food you will recommend NOT to eat / try?

3) We will be having dinner in USJ as we plan to stay till closing at 9pm for the night activities. Any particular restaurant you will recommend? My wife is keen on Three Broomsticks or Kinopio's Cafe. But I recall you need a reservation for the latter, so chances are we probably won't be able to go in. The reviews seem mixed on Three Broomsticks?

4) Any snacks (esp the new matsuri food) you will recommend to try?

5) Any other tips?

Thanks a lot !!!!
