I should preface this by saying that I am not a student at Trent University, but rather a student at another university. But due to circumstances I will explain soon, it will become apparent why I need to contact a faculty member.
I am preparing to write my bachelor’s thesis on the pirate Edward Thatch, better known as Blackbeard. I’ve read numerous works and articles on the subject, and I have seen one reoccurring article among the citations.
The article is called “Blackbeard: The Creation of a Legend” by Arne Bialuschewski and it was published in the journal “Topic: the Washington & Jefferson College Review (58)” in 2012. The article, along with the entire journal it seems, is lost as it cannot be found anywhere online. I have tried numerous databases and my own university’s online library, but I have found nothing.
In a desperate attempt to find it I emailed Dr. Bialuschewski, who is a tenured assistant professor at Trent University, through the email address found on the university’s website earlier this week. In the email I asked if he knew of any way to access the article. Today I got the response that my email couldn’t be forwarded to the email address.
Is there any other way I can contact him or find this article? Is there actually anything I can do other than give up on this search?
