Experimentally disabling cross-posts

If this sucks we can revert it, but a lot of really garbage submissions are crossposts; it's easy to just make the same post here again if you actually care about what you're posting, anyway.

Magnetic modular robot with helicopter rotor, rotor changes facial expression, interchangeable magnetic limbs, white body with rainbow-colored joints, red chest emblem shaped like a sideways U, flip-up chest frame, sold in Norway around 2004–2008.

Does anyone know what this toy is? I am concidering to either throw it away, sell it or give it away.

Help me find Mexican toy please!

Upvotes

**Please help me find this obscure toy from Mexico (around 2008–2014)**

This has been driving me crazy for a few days now, and I'm hoping someone here remembers it.

I'm from the U.S., but when I was a kid I would visit family in Mexico. Sometime around 2008-2014 (definitely before I was in 6th grade), I bought these toys from small local stores (*tienditas* or mini supers). I don't remember the brand, but I remember saving up around maybe 20 to 50 pesos to buy a each because I thought they were awesome.

Here's everything I remember:
The toy came inside a **completely transparent hard plastic egg/capsule** that could be opened and closed over and over.

The egg **opened horizontally around the middle** (like a plastic Easter egg or Poké Ball), **not vertically** like a hatching egg.

Inside was **runny slime/gel** that had a really strong chemical smell (not pleasant at all 😂).

The slime came in different colors like neon green, yellow and maybe orange.

Inside the slime was a **tiny hard plastic creature**, about **1 inch (2–3 cm)** tall.

The creature was **not made of slime**. It was a solid, hard plastic figure.

The figure was **translucent**, not necessarily matching with the color of the slime. The creature had **very few details**. It wasn't an action figure or highly sculpted. It was basically a smooth silhouette with a **large oval head, skinny body, and the classic "little green alien" look.** Looking back, it may not have actually been an alien, it could have been marketed as a monster or space creature, but it definitely had that general shape.

The egg was packaged in a pack with a cardboard backing, so you could clearly see the transparent egg before buying it.

I vaguely remember seeing commercials for them in Mexico, which makes me think they were fairly popular at the time.

I've searched for things like:

Alien Slime Egg

Monster Slime Egg

Huevo Alien

Huevo con Slime

Huevo Monstruo

Alien Goo Egg

Capsule Monster Toy

...but I still haven't found the exact toy. Most of the results are newer toys or hatching eggs that aren't the same.
Does anyone remember these, know the brand, or have pictures of the packaging? Even if you don't know the exact name, any leads would be greatly appreciated. This has become one of those childhood mysteries that I really want to solve!

Thanks in advance!

Trying to figure out the name of late 2000s robot toy I had as a kid

Here's what I recall:

- Robots were articulated action figures that had electronic components (light, sound, etc)

- Limbs could be swapped between figures (I think they were attached and detached using these big flat plastic keys?)

- It could either have regular poseable legs or you could swap them out for an RC car base

- There was some kind of Webkinz-esque element where you could play with the character you bought in some online games

- I believe it was purchased for me at a Toys R Us around 2009

It's not actually that important but I just remembered these existed and I'm kicking myself I can't remember what they're called and unfortunately Google is no help bc there are so many robot toys out there

This little guy was sitting by one of the computers at work today. It's about an inch or two high and articulated. Does anyone know what it is connected to?

Identification Requested

Can anyone identify the brand of these not-Lego figures please? They were from a charity shop (thrift store) and my wife bought them thinking they were minifigs.

They come completely disassembled and actually think they look better than “the popular brand”.

Who recognises this wooden construction stuff?

Please help me recognise the exact brand of this wooden construction material. My boys played with it in an Austrian hotel. Unfortunately they couldn’t retrieve the origin. It’s mainly made out of woorden planks with 2, 3 or 5 double notches, so well designed. Would like to order a bunch… If anyone recognises this, please let me know!

Help me find a battery-operated dancing grandpa toy from the 2000s

I’ve been trying to track down a childhood toy for years, and I’m starting to think I imagined it.
It was a small battery-operated dancing grandpa (about 4–6 inches tall): bald, smiling, wearing a black hat and black suit, and holding a black microphone. His feet stayed planted while his hips swiveled side to side, and he sang a cartoonish version of **“Lonely (Mr. Lonely).”**
I had it sometime around 2005–2011. Does this ring a bell for anyone, or have I unlocked the world’s most obscure childhood memory?

Looking for recommendations for animal + vehicle toys (teething friendly)

Any recommendations for animal + vehicle/transportation toys (cars, trucks, airplanes etc) that are teething friendly for 1+ year olds?

We currently have the Melissa & Doug puzzles but they are HORRIBLE! Got them brand new and were already falling apart on the first day.

Wooden preferred but open to other materials. I want to wait for Schleich animals for when they’re a little older.

Thanks in advance!
