WE ARE FUCKED.

For those of you who don't know, Zdarsky heavily mischaracterized Punisher in both his Daredevil runs. Frank acts extremely out of character, he acts more like Jon Bernthal instead of the stoic calm and collected Frank in both his runs.

As in most other superhero comics, I'm worried Frank will show up in this Avengers runs just to get beaten by Daredevil & Luke Cage so they can aura farm. Frank will be turned into the butt of the joke while acting extremely out of character.

This is supposed to be the next big mainstream Avengers title and its second fucking arc will be Punisher.

I've been getting into Punisher comics recently, having just read Welcome Back, Frank and Circle of Blood. I understand that over his history, writers don't all necessarily have a unwavering characterization for Frank.

For example, in Circle of Blood, Grant wrote him as much more concerned about ending crime for good and his duty to protect innocents. On the other hand, Ennis portrayed him more as a killing machine, where saving the lives of innocents is more of a byproduct or a secondary focus to ending crime, and even explicitly states that he kills criminals for hate exclusively.

When you think of "The Punisher", what do you believe fits his character best in terms of motives and whether he could be considered heroic or not?

I think punisher is the coolest anrihero there is no cooler one what do you all think

Is it like the Director's Cut

I’m sure this has been discussed a lot and I apologise if I’m beating a dead horse. Every time I watch an interview with Jon he always mentions how important the punisher is to people in the military. Literally. Every. Single. Interview.

I can’t help but feel like this is strange (if not slightly concerning lol) and I know a lot of people agree.

The very concept of the punisher in of itself isn’t something that anyone should really look up to especially members of the military and law enforcement. This becomes very clear especially after reading comics like Punisher born.

Am I missing something ? Am I looking too deep into this ?

I like Jon Bernthal, he seems like a nice guy. But I can’t help but think he reads the comics by just looking at the pictures while picking his nose, because I struggle to understand how you can read the source material and still think the military should be wearing punisher skulls.
