For those willing to truly embrace this game and open themselves to its contemplative, emotional journey, they'll experience something no other game in the industry can offer. It's funny how the people who truly understand this game seem to exist in their own little corner, hidden away from the chaos of the gaming industry. A timeless treasure.

Last year I used some kind of interactive checklist site to keep track of all the hints and their requirements.

But now I can't find it at all. Maybe one of you knows it and can share a link to it, because this trophy just kills me.

From what I understand about the game, there's very little dialogue.

I know that there are contextual hints given to help solve puzzles, and then some narrative flashback bits.

I don't really mind missing out on the context clues for the puzzles. However, will I be missing any pertinent/key information from the boy's inner monologue moments? Or can the whole story pretty much be derived from visuals and their own form of communication?

I am selling (not looking for) the e3 2016 Trico plush. Unfortunately, I have hit some very hard financial times and as much as I love him, I need to pay off some veterinary bills so it’s time for us to part ways. Attached are a few pictures of him in various places in my apartment. He is in good condition and still has his tag attached, and hasn’t done much but sit on a shelf for the past 9-10 years. He would be coming from a home with a dog.

As of right now, he is not listed on any selling websites because I don’t know how to use them quite yet- and I would preferably like to cut out any selling fees, although I know that they are what people prefer to buy them from for safety. If I can figure it out, I may get him up onto eBay, but I figured I would post him here first in case anyone was looking to cut out the middleman so to speak.

So at the moment, I am posting him here to see if anyone would be interested in grabbing him for a flat via PayPal sale of $600 USD. I will happily cover the shipping charges within the continental USA. Because of the impending holiday here in America I wouldn’t be able to ship him out until Monday or Tuesday. I will be putting him up to auction at some point in the next couple of days once I figure out how if he doesn’t move lol.

I think I've cracked the mystery of what's in the barrels from The Last Guardian! The short answer is the blue stuff in the barrels, crucibles, and giant pots is... Trico bile; specifically the run-off covering the humans brought to the Master of the Valley.

Some suggest the mine carts and machines in the Game could have used to harvest the blue substance, but I think mining the materials to create wood barrels and iron crucibles (as well as carts and tracks for transport) makes more sense, and why there are mine carts all over. The armor use the machines around the Nest, not unlike when they transported and lowered Trico into his prison, to help harvest the run-off.

The fact 2 humans (1 child and adult, from the looks) sends out one barrel (preloaded), this means only one Trico is feed, nurturing hostility among the other Trico to get more humans for a possible treat. The companion guide even says the humans don't become the substance in the barrels "right away", which could be a mistranslation of "automatically": "The humans aren't turned into the barrels right away. They are used to power the Master of the Valley and everything he controls, and the "blue goo" might be a byproduct given to the Tricos to reward them."

Given we see the Boy and other humans in "blue goo" when eaten and regurgitated by the Trico, I think the Master just found a way to recycle all the vomit without it pilling up in the Nest. Humans go through one tube to the Master and become part of his hive mind, and other pipes seperate the bile to be contained. The smell of his own bile could be what attracts Trico to said barrels and crucibles full of it, as it's both familiar and remembers it as the "treat" from the Master and the Boy. Mammals eating their bile is quite common, and Trico is no exception.

So, I’ve been a Team ICO fan for ages. Played the OG duology on the PS2 and was in love from the start. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are still two of my favorite games ever. I closely followed the development of The Last Guardian throughout the PS3 era. I remember the delays and the confusion on if the game was ever even gonna come.

Then The Last Guardian came out and I didn’t have a PS4 yet, but after a few months I finally bought one to play it. And I liked it…..but I didn’t love it. I thought the controls and camera were clunky, and I didn’t find the story to be anything amazing like the first two games. Did love Trico and the setting though.

I did my playthrough and didn’t feel the need to think about it much further. Now 10 years later I gave it another try, and something clicked. I didn’t even remember a lot of sections, so it felt like a fresh experience. And man did it hit this time.

The controls are still a little wonky, but they are definitely better than I gave them credit for initially. The setting and Trico remained amazing, and the story almost made me cry this time. And the visuals? They left me awestruck multiple times. It was that good. I am in awe of how amazing it is honestly, and I think it’s an under-appreciated masterpiece now.

I easily put this game on par with ICO and Shadow of the Colossus now. So glad I gave it a new chance now that I’m older and (kinda) wiser. I ended up doing 4 back to back playthroughs, getting almost all the trophies and whatnot. Amazing experience. Truly one of the best PS4 games out there.

Anyone else have this experience of initially thinking it was just good, only to revisit it later and think it was phenomenal?

A long shot probably but I’m looking for one of the 2017 Trico official plushies for my sibling who is a huge The Last Guardian fan. Not sure if at this point I’m going to manage to find any listing that aren’t over a grand USD (which is insane, but yk. I wish they’d gone through with releasing them on the site). But if anyone happens to be looking to sell for a more reasonable amount, or knows of a listing anywhere that isn’t crazy or a scam, let me know please?

In the beginning of the game Trico has broken head armor on and the second time he knocks you out you can see the underside of the armor on his nose while he is nudging you, I just noticed the underside has the same symbols as the ones that float around the screen when you "die"

i want to get a trico tattoo and i want to present the artist with good references. i can go in and take screenshots myself if i have to but i wanted to ask here first.

Is there any way to find out the Soundtracks for The Last Guardian on PS3? Because in 2010, Ueda hadn't yet made contact with the London Symphony Orchestra to create the music for The Last Guardian. From what I've seen, it played different music.
