Upvotes

And telling AJ he can't like killing in episode 4 and trusting AJ in order to save Louis's life and staying on good terms with James too. And I want to know are David and Gabe Dead and did you Romance Kate in Season 3 I would get the game myself but my Mom is a Christian and she thinks the game is demonic because of the walker zombies I know this is a lot to ask but I'm trying to find YouTubers who have gotten the exact same ending as Domthebomb in the final season especially with David and Gabe being Dead and Romancing Kate in Season 3 and do you have a YouTube playthrough of it? Please let me know I would really appreciate it my birthday was July 14 and so for my belated birthday I'm hoping to find a YouTuber any YouTuber that has gotten the exact same ending as Domthebomb in the final season especially with David and Gabe being Dead in Season 3 or do any of you know any YouTubers that have gotten the exact same ending as Domthebomb?

I know I'm probably wasting my time making this post but it's worth a try you never know I guess! Please feel free to comment and DM me if you are a YouTuber and have a playthrough or know any YouTubers that got the exact same ending as Domthebomb in the final season especially with David and Gabe being Dead and Romancing Kate please and thank you!

Spoilers GOTG Guardians of the Galaxy Review

I’ve been a fan of telltale since the very beginning. I played the walking dead season 1 at launch, as well as the wolf among us, and those two are still my all time favorites. I’ve played almost everything else they’ve put out, I’ve seen the quality of their games decline over the years as they were spread way too thin and drowning in the amount of IP they were attempting to juggle at once. They bit off far more than they could chew, and it led to the worst case scenario of bankruptcy.

I’ve recently been going back and finishing the remaining telltale games I haven’t played yet, and GoTG was one of them. I went into this with an open mind, but I was incredibly skeptical, and had VERY low expectations for this game. I’m already coming into this experience fighting an uphill battle because I don’t like the guardians of the galaxy movies, despite seeing them all multiple times. I’m not a marvel fan, I’m not really a superhero fan in general, I find them pretty dull and uninteresting. But I still wanted to give it a shot to impress me and cross this entry off my list.

I noticed immediately that there were some interesting differences from the Disney movie counterparts. Rocket is far more bitter and nuanced, and that was an extremely pleasant surprise. Gamora had the personality of a cardboard box, which isn’t much of a change, and Drax is the same bulky meathead who’s all brawn and no brains, lacks social cues, and only opens his mouth when it’s to say something about his family. A disney version of Kratos. Nothing more. Groot is…well…he is groot. No change or nuance there. And Peter is, just Peter. Overconfident, cocky, slightly egotistical, sarcastic, very typical adaption of him. I thought it was really fascinating that the games opening hook was the death of Thanos. Most other media will make him the central villain that you build up towards defeating, but they open it on his death and that was refreshing. I wasn’t convinced though. I hope they had the balls to go through with it, but I figured he would be revealed to not be the real Thanos, or he would be revived with the Eternity Forge. It seemed like an obvious setup. And much to my surprise, they actually let it stick and Thanos remained dead…..until the post credit scene at the end of the game, where reviving him with the eternity forge acted as sequel bait. But you know what? I can live with that. Yeah it was predictable, but the important part is, they never put that plotline in THIS game. Just teased a sequel with it. And seeing where telltale went after this, that sequel will never happen anyway. So I won’t complain about it.

Choosing where to sell his body is the first important choice. If you sell it to the Nova Corps, his body is safe from potential revivals (atleast for now) but you get less money, and create an alliance with the law, as the guardians are established as OUTlaws, they aren’t thrilled about that. If you sell it the collector, the equivalent of the black market, you get far more money but risk his body being taken and potentially revived or cryogenically frozen or whatever. I chose the authorities. But it was a good choice to have to make.

It’s revealed that touching the eternity forge allows you to enter and relive memories. For some reason, Peter feels like his mother could actually be alive. I never really understood why. When rocket touched it and saw his lover, he never thought that. When drax saw his family, he didn’t think they were still alive. Why was Peter so delusional? Oh well.

Then you’re attacked by the real central villain of the game. Hala of the Kree. She wants the forge to revive her army. Pretty standard, mediocre villain with mediocre motivations.

The gang can’t understand the forge at first, so they seek out Gamora’s sister Nebula in hopes that she can translate it. They find out the forge can revive dead people, so rocket immediately wants to try to get his girl Lylla back. The game makes you choose which to prioritize first. I went with rocket, because it was rare to see his character show vulnerability, and i genuinely wanted to see what would happen, and I wanted to develop a closer bond with him. And man, his subplot did NOT disappoint. It was utterly heartbreaking. Or should I say “otterly” heartbreaking. I’ll see myself out LMAO

it was a very well written segment, and it was very important context for his character. It explains how he became so bitter and jaded. And it’s unfortunate that it didn’t work. At this point, they don’t know that you need to take a life first to restore a life. It kinda works like a black soul gem from Skyrim.

The next episode, you travel to the temple of the cryptkeeper to learn more about the forges capabilities, and once they understand how it works, you can choose to destroy it or use it for your own benefit. I’m extremely surprised to see this choice come up so soon. It’s only episode 3. There’s two whole episodes left. This seems like it would be the final decision of episode 5 before the credits roll. So does that mean the following two episodes are ACTUALLY changed from the outcome of this decision? Do you mean to tell me there’s real player choice and consequence in my telltale game? Woah. That would be genuinely surprising. It could just be an illusion of choice, but I’m actually curious. I chose to keep it. For obvious reasons it can be beneficial if kept in safe hands.

In the next episode, everyone has conflicting opinions and morals on the forge decision. Very fascinating. We get attacked by the kree, and in my playthrough, I let drax stay behind. I figured I was doing the right thing by honoring his wishes, but everyone else HATED that decision. All but rocket. I was surprised by that, too. I wonder if they still would’ve split if I made drax stay. I assume drax would’ve been mad that I robbed him of his decision, but I wonder if everyone else would’ve been cool with it.

Drax’s death is short lived. They find out through the forge that he’s actually still alive. So we tell gamora, she instantly flips her opinion on us and comes back, everyone reunites, and we get drax. The leader of the kree’s son approaches Peter in a bar, and says he doesn’t approve of his mom’s actions and wants to help us stop her. So with that, everyone goes to finish the job. We defeat Hala, and are given the option to straight up vaporize the entire army with the forge. I obviously did not do that, but I’m super curious if I did, would I have been able to bring EVERYONE back? Because it’s more than 1 soul? Anyways, I let Hala’s son run the kree and sent her to the Nova Corps. With one soul still in the forge, we can revive someone. You have to choose between
Gamora’s loved one (Nebula)
Drax’s loved one (Daughter)
Peters loved one (Mom)
Or Rockets loved one (Lylla)

I chose Lylla, because that story beat hit the hardest for me and I thought he deserved it the most. We use Thanos’ death as the life exchange.

Wow. I’m so pleasantly surprised by this game. I expected to hate it, or think it was rushed slop that was churned out as fast as possible during the final days of telltale, but it was surprisingly high quality. In narrative and writing alone, though. The animation is ROUGH. Like, this game looks worse than season 1 of the walking dead. It looks absolutely abhorrent. There’s also all types of glitches and performance bugs, cutscenes freeze, dialogue overlapping and repeating, etc. But the actual meat and potatoes of what this game is, is surprisingly remarkable. I’m so happy I gave this game a chance. I wish the servers were still up, because I can’t even see my choices or access them at all. Not even percentages, like it won’t show them period. That was disappointing.

Now I’m off to play Batman! Wish me luck!

Spoilers Batman The Children of Arkham attack on the mayoral debate is flawed

Their plan for this attack was to drug Mayor Hill and Harvey with truth serum, then publicly expose Thomas Wayne, broadcast the movement's message and then kill both of the candidates.

So it's both an attack and a PR stunt but Penguin's actions and presence there kinda undermine it and their future goals.

Firstly he executes the moderator on live television, he executes an innocent man and undermines the image they want to craft as a revolutionary group standing up for the downtrodden in Gotham, instead the average viewer will see them as a terrorist group, he then orders the militia to start to mindlessly firing into the crowd.

Secondly, he's wearing no gloves so leaving both his fingerprints and DNA.

Thirdly, they air the video of Thomas Wayne drugging Esther Cobblepot, Oswald's mother, however Penguin does not bother hiding his very distinct English accent during this attack. So they shared a video of Thomas Wayne drugging an English woman and a few days later, her son becomes the CEO of Wayne Enterprises who happens to share the same accent as the leader of this attack.

Lastly, Cobblepott taking control of Wayne Enterprises is an important part of their plan. Why would they put him front and centre of this attack where he could easily be implicated, arrested, shot etc?

A light rewrite of this scene I'd have would be to have them simply take the moderator backstage, have the Penguin wear gloves and have a voice changer and then have them throw smoke grenades into the crowd when Batman and the police enter.

I also find Oswald becoming the CEO of Wayne Enterprises to be a bit contrived. When Bruce searches him in the first episode, he learns that he has an extensive criminal record in the UK which Selina also knows off.

The Children of Arkham are able to alter his record and submit a fake resume to the company but wouldn't a basic background check (probably just a google search) expose Cobblepot's criminal past?

Telltale A question about Batman: The Enemy Within

Hi everyone!

I recently finished the first Batman, and now that I saw it has a sequel I would like to get the season pass disc to play The Enemy Within. The only thing I was wondering is that if I get the disc, will all of the episodes be able to be downloaded? With the previous Batman game I had to purchase episode 4 separately, because the game wouldn't let me download it. I wouldn't want to pay for the disc first and then for the episodes too if it was the case.

If someone knows if the disc is fully "functional" I'd be very glad. Thank you :)

I have a digital copy of the definitive series on PS5. Whenever I try to play the michonne spinoff it doesn’t work. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Deleting it and redownloading it

Playing it without internet

Deleting the game save data

Moving it to my internal PS5 data (wouldn’t work because of error CE-107552-0)

Turning off my console

Has anyone else had this problem and what do you think I should do?

Update: I’ve also tried deleting the cache, rebuilding the PS5, restoring licence and played on a guest account and none of them have worked.

2nd update: I just think my copy is broken when it comes to Michonne, I decided to just buy it separately on the PS Store on sale for around £3. Hope your copy doesn’t have this problem.

Spoilers MSM I find it impressive how Minecraft: Story Mode, despite being a series clearly marketed towards children, has some of the most morally bankrupt and degenerated antagonists Telltale has ever written.

This series features:

  • Aiden, a guy who burned down a structure at a fair the first time we meet him, nearly killing a pig in the process. A few episodes later his jealously towards the protagonist goes so far off the deep end that he invades a foreign city, steals its most important resource, attempts to kill the leader by throwing her off the island, burns the entire city to the ground (causing who knows how many fatalities), attempts to kill the leader of the city guard, and attempts to kill the protagonist multiple times, first by also throwing them off the island, then by swarming them with mobs and then in a sword fight.

  • Cassie Rose, a psychopathic and manipulative serial killer who traps multiple innocent bystanders in a zombie herd, and then kills them in a variety of ways (poisoned arrows, alive burial, animal attacks), lies to the people around her pretending that she's innocent while falsely blaming others for her deeds, fakes her death and then attempts to feed the protagonist and their group to live animals.

  • PAMA, an artificial intelligence gone rogue who enslaves the humans in her world for a twisted idea of "maximum efficiency", even going to far as to enslave her own creator in order to build a portal and colonize the entire known world with mind-control devices that would make the AI supreme ruler of the world.

  • Hadrian and Mevia, two powerful Old Builders who basically run an internment camp luring unsuspecting travellers into a trap and forcing them to partake in physically exhausting and painful "games" for their own amusement, with the promise that the prisoners would be freed if they won, but knowing that winning is not possible. Additionally the prisoners are forced into hard labor in the mines when their entire team is eliminated, spending days if not weeks toiling away so the Old Builders can make a profit.

  • And then there's Romeo, who is arguably the most morally degenerated main antagonist Telltale has ever produced. So, what does he do? He murders his best friend when he refused to be around him anymore due to his increasingly psychopathic nature. He imprisons his other BFF and can also later murder her (depending on player's choice). He wrecks half of Beacontown, pretends to be an already deceased person to gain the trust of Jesse's group, then throws them in an underground prison with basically no means of escape (and the people there aren't even criminals, just people who pissed off Romeo because he's a petty manchild) where prisoners literally have to scramble and fight for scraps of food - with some of them resorting to eating rotten flesh. He then steals Jesse's identity, turns Beacontown into his own personal dictatorship where he rules with fear and oppression (and forces his citizens to commit gruesome deeds, like forcing a man who loves his pigs to slaughter them and sell their meat) and then blows up an entire neighboring city killing hundreds if not more innocent people on a mere whim. This guy is basically what it looks like when you give an eight year old with anger and insecurity issues unlimited power.

In the scene where Bruce meets Harley, I not only got the bug where the windows are greyed out, I also got a bug that I can’t find anyone else having, where after John steps out to buy Harley a slushie, the camera pans into the alley and you can see john and bruce’s models from behind, then the sign of the bar, and a shot of the alley. It would shoot between the first two and the last shot would only appear when John comes back into the car, and then it would go back to normal when Harley talks about Bruce’s man crush on John (the windows were still grey). This stopped happening after I restarted the scene five times, but I’ve never seen it happen elsewhere, and it also happened on shadows mode.

I also got a bug at the beginning of season one that I haven’t seen elsewhere, at Harvey’s fundraiser at the manor, where the lights wouldn’t load, so everyone’s face is cloaked in darkness, though that only took one restart.

how would a telltale death note work?

inspired by freshpine_mangowine’s “would you rather” post that included death note.

i’d want one too but then how would they tell a story in 5 chapters? would it be a retelling or stick with canon timeline? i think it’d be interesting to have a character experiencing the everyday world affected by kira. and maybe they’d get a death note too? and try not to get noticed by kira but idk. a wammy house story could be good too. but i would miss the supernatural elements. idk what do u think would be the most fun way to do it?
