Official EVGA Announcement EVGA 30 Series VBIOS Threads - Archived Data from EVGA Forums

Below is all the relevant BIOS information from the EVGA 30 series cards.  If you don't see a BIOS you need, you can request it by emailing [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and we will see if it is available.

Please take note that flashing the VBIOS when outside of warranty is to be considered done at your own risk!

PSA#1: TURN OFF "FAST BOOT" IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD BIOS.

I strongly suggest that you read this at least once.  It could prevent a possible RMA, if within warranty.

Once again, turn off Fast Boot in your motherboard BIOS while you're playing around with flashing your BIOS.  If fast boot is enabled, Windows will treat your card as the same GPU unless there's an obvious change, such as you change from a GeForce RTX 3080 to a GeForce RTX 3090, for example.  Otherwise, Windows will just assume that nothing in your system has changed, including the DeviceID, which will change when you flash to a different BIOS version.  Because Windows doesn't update the information automatically, it will give Precision X1 the wrong information, which is how many of you have run into an MCU flashing issue.  If fast boot is disabled, Windows should check the DeviceID of each hardware component during each boot.  It's still worth it to restart a couple times after flashing or flipping the switch over to a different BIOS to make sure everything is working normally.
So, please make sure to turn off Fast Boot until you are done flashing, and you've decided on which BIOS switch you want to use.  At that point, you can restart and re-enable Fast Boot again, if you wish.

PSA#2: DISABLE CSM IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD BIOS BEFORE FLASHING A REBAR BIOS.

Longer PSA in spoilers.  If you forget to disable CSM in your motherboard BIOS before flashing a ReBAR BIOS, then you may end up with a black screen upon your next boot.  If you need to learn how to enable NVIDIA Resizable BAR, visit our FAQ: https://www.evga.com/support/faq/FAQdetails.aspx?faqid=59772

Disable CSM in your motherboard BIOS, or you run the risk of getting a black screen at boot.  For FTW3 cards, which you can flip the switch on the card to go to a non-ReBAR BIOS, you can quickly fix this and get picture again.  However, for those of you with an XC3 card, you only get one BIOS, and it will likely lead to an RMA if CSM is not disabled.
Note - It's true that you could run into some issues with booting into your OS or legacy hardware if you disable CSM.  However, you can resolve those issues by re-enabling CSM.  If you discover that you have an issue when you disable CSM, it's far better to learn what you need to do to fix those issues before you flash your card to an unrecoverable state.  Plenty of people on this forum can help you figure out what you need to do to get your system ready for Resizable BAR.

Lastly, some cards originally ship with a Resizable BAR BIOS, and newly built 30 Series cards will also ship with a Resizable BAR BIOS.  The list of cards that began shipping with a ReBAR BIOS include:

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 KPE HYDRO COPPER

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (all cards)

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (all cards)

Additional Notes:

·         For each XOC BIOS, I'm only going to post the ones with Resizable BAR.  I don't currently have access to all the original XOC BIOS (thanks Jacob), and it would take time to procure them.

·         If the included .exe files are not clear about which is the OC or the Normal BIOS for FTW3 cards, I will list which file is which.

BIOS Instructions (Windows Installation):

·         Disable Fast Boot in your motherboard BIOS

·         Download the correct .zip file below for your graphics card below.

·         Extract the files to a location on disk.

·         Make sure no programs are running in the background, and double click Update.exe

·         Press "Y" to begin the update.

·         DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS!

·         After update, restart PC.

BIOS Flashes for EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti cards

The EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 cards have an XOC BIOS to flash.

Flash to the XOC version:

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID (24G-P5-4988-KR) [XOC/ReBAR]

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 ULTRA (24G-P5-4985-KR) [XOC/ReBAR] [V2 added 4/27]

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 (24G-P5-4983-KR) [XOC/ReBAR]

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti BLACK (24G-P5-4981-KR) [XOC/ReBAR]

Flash back to the default BIOS:

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID (24G-P5-4988-KR) [ReBAR]

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 ULTRA (24G-P5-4985-KR) [ReBAR]

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 (24G-P5-4983-KR) [ReBAR]

·         EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti BLACK (24G-P5-4981-KR) [ReBAR]

BIOS Flashes for EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 cards

EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Cards have several different versions.  Please pay close attention to which cards you have before installing a BIOS.  Although most of these BIOS versions won't cause problems if you flash between them, if you have a 3090OC card or a more newly manufactured 3090 FTW3, or 3090 FTW3 ULTRA, or 3090 FTW3 HYBRID card, then you already have the XOC BIOS on your OC switch.

How to tell if you have a 3090 OC card and why it matters:

Before flashing your BIOS, confirm which type of card you have.  Because of some differences between the cards, flashing the wrong BIOS to your card could impact performance.  Here's how to tell the difference:

·         You emailed EVGA Customer support using the 3090OC email, sent in your card for RMA, and received a new card as a replacement.

·         You've more recently purchased an EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 card (FTW3/FTW3 ULTRA/HYBRID).  Here's a couple ways to check:

o    Move the BIOS Switch to OC, then check the BIOS via GPU-Z.  If the maximum wattage is 500W, then you have a 3090OC card.

o    Check the DeviceID in GPU-Z or PX1.  If you see near the "3842", the 3090OC cards will say "3981" for FTW3, "3982" for FTW3 ULTRA, and "3983" for HYBRID.

EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 HYDROCOPPER override BIOS - ReBAR ONLY

These BIOS are used to flash your your card back to the default HYDROCOPPER card.  Don't flash these unless you've confirmed which type of card you have, (and you've already installed the card and configured your loop):

From 3090OC Cards to :

·         EVGA GeForce 3090 FTW3 HC [3090OC/ReBAR] (Normal is C005/OC is C002)

From non-HC BIOS - includes ReBAR - to:

·         EVGA GeForce 3090 FTW3 HC [ReBAR]

·         EVGA GeForce 3090 XC3 HC [ReBAR]

EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 HYBRID override BIOS
These BIOS are used to flash your regular 3090 FTW3/FTW3 ULTRA or 3090 XC3-based cards to act like a HYBRID card.  Don't flash these unless you've confirmed which type of card you have, and whether you want a Resizable BAR BIOS:

GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 610.82

Thumbnail international.download.nvidia.com
Upvotes

GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 610.82 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 610.74.

This hotfix addresses the following:

  • [Halo: Campaign Evolved] Stability issues on GeForce RTX 50 series when using 610.xx drivers. [6259837]
  • [Path of Exile 2] Fixed intermittent long pauses that could occur after extended gameplay sessions in DX12 mode [5090018]

A GeForce driver is an incredibly complex piece of software, We have an army of software engineers constantly adding features and fixing bugs. These changes are checked into the main driver branches, which are eventually run through a massive QA process and released.  Since we have so many changes being checked in, we usually try to align driver releases with significant game or product releases. This process has served us pretty well over the years but it has one significant weakness. Sometimes a change that is important to many users might end up sitting and waiting until we are able to release the driver.  The GeForce Hotfix driver is our way to trying to get some of these fixes out to you more quickly. These drivers are basically the same as the previous released version, with a small number of additional targeted fixes. The fixes that make it in are based in part on your feedback in the Driver Feedback threads and partly on how realistic it is for us to quickly address them. These fixes (and many more) will be incorporated into the next official driver release, at which time the Hotfix driver will be taken down.  To be sure, these Hotfix drivers are beta, optional and provided as-is. They are run through a much abbreviated QA process. The sole reason they exist is to get fixes out to you more quickly. The safest option is to wait for the next WHQL certified driver. But we know that many of you are willing to try these out.  As a result, we only provide NVIDIA Hotfix drivers through our NVIDIA Customer Care support site.

General Discussion Evga XR1 lite & switch 2

Hey y'all just a quick question. I have the EVGA XR1 lite capture card and would like to use it to capture the new Fire Emblem game coming out on Switch 2.

But I'm not very tech savvy and I'm not sure how well it would work. I use it when playing Switch 1 games on my Switch 2, but there's been a couple problems. There's like a split second audio delay and also a few times (albeit rarely) there's been a clicking noise for a few minutes after first activating the capture card.

So, could I expect about the same results? Worse?

I have to imagine a Switch 2 game with better graphics would be harder to run on it than older Switch 1 games would. Any advice would be appreciated! 🙏

Troubleshooting Help 3070 FTW3 missing screws

Post image
5 Upvotes

I recently bought a 3070 FTW3 that came with the backplate detached and without any screws. The card works perfectly fine, but I’d like to fully reassemble it. I’ve already reached out to EVGA, but it's been a week and I haven't heard back yet. Just in case, I wanted to ask you guys: Do you know the EXACT length and size of each screw? It would really help me out so I can buy them on my own and put it together.

Power Supply Discussion Power supply Sata cables

Long story short bought a 1000g FTW and it’s missing the SATA cables which I was not aware of, I also happen to have a 1000gt super nova that I’m not using, are the SATA cables compatible between the 2 or is there a place I can get replacement SATA cables for the FTW power supply
Any suggestions or pointers would be huge thank you!

Power Supply Discussion EVGA Support Tech or Customer Service failure!

My friend owns an EVGA Supernova 1300P3+ power supply that has failed after three years of reliable service. Thankfully, the unit is backed by EVGA's ten-year warranty. I stepped in to help him navigate the RMA process by supplying a complete bill of sale and sending two follow-up emails to EVGA, but unfortunately, I received no reply. I also tried reaching out to EVGA's Tech Support and Sales by phone, yet neither department was available to assist with the warranty claim. Although their website remains operational, many customers seem to share similar frustrations with EVGA's customer service.

Graphics Card Discussion Thermal pad size for the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Black

Posting this information here with the hope that it might help someone else in the future.

I have an EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Black ( part number 11G-P4-2281-KR ) that needs a little TLC and struggled to find the specs on the stock thermal pad count and size. Since my internet searches didn't turn up anything conclusive, and the EVGA FAQ says to contact support with the registered serial number of your graphics card, I went ahead and sent an email and lo and behold 5.5 hours later I had a response.

Hi Alexander,

Below are the thermal pad dimensions in mm. Please contact us back if you have any other requests, questions, or issues.

Three pads are 55x14x2.00
One pad is 55x7x2.00
One pad is 57x24x1.00
Three pads are 8x8x2.00
One pad is 14x54x0.25
One pad is 88x12.5x0.75
One pad is 88x10x1.25
One pad is 90x27x1.00
One pad is 58x14x0.75

Regards,
EVGA

Now the whole reason I originally bought from EVGA was because of the great customer support, and I have to say that 6 years later I'm not disappointed... (unless we're talking about EVGA not being a GPU option anymore... but I digress).

Anyway, that's all I've got. Be well all!

Troubleshooting Help Cannot Use Power Meter: Precision X1

I just installed a fresh install of windows after trying to troubleshoot this issue for quite some time. My GPU has been overheating unless I use afterburner and crank the fan curve. I want to try and use X1 instead since afterburner is more of a brute force solution. However, when trying to use the Power Meter I run the scan and it gives me the message "Power Meter cannot connect to the server. Please confirm that you are connected to an active network and try again."

I am connected to a network, I have opened the firewall for X1 and have tried different DNS. Not really sure what to do about this one at this point.

Troubleshooting Help Is the driver page broken for everyone else?

TLDR: Referring to evga.com/support/download. It's a broken mess. I can't click on or select anything. Stuff is overlapping with other stuff. I tried on multiple computers. However it seems to work okay on my phone. I'm currently troubleshooting a problem and need access to the drivers.

Some other info: I'm trying to fix what I think is a messed up chipset on my Z690 Classified, since device manager is reporting a problem with my GPU (code 43) as well as problems with "Base System Device" and "PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller" (code 28 for both) and my resolution is all wrong. This all happened after I put my 13700KF back in the board after previously trying and failing to boot with a 14700KF.

Graphics Card Discussion Need to fix Gainward RTX 3060 Ghost Delhi or Bangalore

This is for India Region. Hope this Subbreddit is Global.

I have Gainward RTX 3060 12GB Ghost which came with the PC I bought a while back.

One day, the GPU fans are spinning but no display. I tried in other PC and still it's same. I checked in nearby shop and they said they can't fix it.

It's out of warranty and also Gainward is not present in India, so have to try fix in Physical repair shops. I have 2 options, find repairshop at Bangalore or Delhi.

Please advice which location/shop is good for this GPU repair based on your experience. Share the shop names/contact details if possible.

Much appreciate your time and suggestions.

Troubleshooting Help GPU glitching

Hello!

I recently moved overseas with my PC, and it was working perfectly before the move.

After arriving, I bought an ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACS (27", QHD, IPS, 180Hz) monitor. Since connecting it, I've been experiencing random screen/GPU glitches.

Here's a video showing the issue:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=7EqMG5XI2jk&feature=youtu.be

I sent the monitor back to the retailer, but they tested it and couldn't reproduce the problem.

The glitching seems to come and go—sometimes it's barely noticeable, and other times it's much worse. It happens everywhere, even on the Windows desktop, and it's most noticeable on dark backgrounds.

My system:

  • GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra
  • PC: ASUS ROG Strix G35 (Ryzen 7, 32GB RAM, RTX 3080)
  • PSU: Replaced the original stock power supply with a Corsair RM1000x.

My GPU is mounted vertically, so I'm using a PCIe riser/extender cable. This setup worked perfectly with my previous monitor back home, a Samsung Odyssey G5 S27CG510 (165Hz).

Does anyone have any ideas where I should start troubleshooting? Could this be a monitor compatibility issue, a DisplayPort cable problem, the riser cable, or something else?

The PC worked flawlessly before I moved, so I'm wondering if something may have shifted during transport or if the new monitor has exposed an issue that wasn't noticeable before.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Troubleshooting Help Xr1 pro Capture Card only works in USB 2.0

Plugging into the computer in on USB 3.0, it doesn't recognize the device (unknown usb device, device descriptor failed code:43). The firmware updater also doesn't recognize the device, so I can't even use that. Using USB 2.0, it condescendingly says "use a 3.0 port" as if it was entirely impossible to update on USB 2.0. My videos look like absolute garbage and I'm at an absolute loss on what to do.

Troubleshooting Help Driver page broken?

I'm trying to find drivers for an EVGA capture card when when I go to their support site, there's like...nothing populating it at all? https://www.evga.com/support/drivers/index.html

It just shows "Graphics card," "Motherboard," and "Other products," and clicking on any of them does nothing. I've tried in multiple browsers without scriptblockers or anything.

This page is also a broken mess: https://www.evga.com/support/download/

Is this happening for anyone else?

Troubleshooting Help CLCx 360mm All-In-One LCD CPU Liquid Cooler

Hello,

My EVGA CLCx 360mm All-In-One LCD CPU Liquid Cooler shows a warning message on the LCD screen almost every time I boot up about connecting the USB cable to the motherboard. I've checked that it's connected properly, but I'm still getting the message.

Anything else I should check?
