I am planning on taking the August sat(sitting at around a 1300, trying to get 1400s), which is taking up a lot of time during my summer. However, I heard, especially for engineering, it is better to submit as early as possible because of rolling admissions.

Should I just try and fit working on my essays during the summer, or would I be alright submitting a bit later(End of September/beginning of October).

i have registered for the aug sat (aug 22) and the scores will be released sept 4. should i wait for this to get my score up (1500+) or apply early to a&m?

I'm really worried cuz I have a weak application compared to most engineering applicants.. so please help and BE HONEST

I am having trouble deciding when to apply. I come from a very competitive school (Highly ranked in texas) and I have set solid ecs and awards down on my application that are pretty competitive I feel like. I dont figure anything will change that drastically here and there in the next upcoming months. The only problem is that I am applying engineering and I have a 33 ACT (36 M) and a 3.7 ish GPA. I also have very rigorous coursework. I was wondering if I should wait until the September ACT is over with and gamble on getting a higher score, or apply near the start of August to hopefully secure a spot. I would appreciate any advice whatsoever.

I want to apply to Mays as early as possible but I currently do not have any rec letters. I can expect to get one in mid-August to early September, but I am unsure if this is too late. Will applying as early as possible without a rec letter benefit me more than waiting a month to apply with a rec letter?
