Question should i apply to mays or engineering?
context: i went to texas hs for 2 years (top 5% class) and transferred to a competitive boarding school out of state (so no more auto admit, but i still get in-state tution)
majors: either BBA finance @ mays OR chemical engineering @ college of engineering
Demographics: female, south asian
Stats: 3.7 GPA, 1550 SAT
- lower gpa junior year bc transferred from public school to rigorous/competitive boarding school
ECS:
1. in-person internship at local chemical oilfield company
2. research internship at vc firm
3. mathnasium instructor
4. co-president of research club
5. co-president of steam club
6. deca mentor at school
Awards:
- deca state awards 2x, 1x icdc qualifier
- top 20% submissions nyt comp - wrote abt menstruation
- likely national merit
Letter of Recs:
- physics teacher: improved a lot in her class, likes me i think, writes rily good recs according to others, very helpful
- english teacher: super chill with her, friendly, did very well in her class
Courses:
- 3 APs (new school has no APs)
- senior year: advanced chemistry, calculus 1, organi chemistry, economics elective
