Yeah but then you have to do it again and if you have bad luck you go back to try it another IRL day and by then you've forgotten what you need to do.

You = me of course 😂

I called it quits at that point. I didn't find the lore interesting enough to put up with the time-wasting randomness.

I called it quits way way earlier. People glaze that game so much but it really isn't much skill based. You just need the patience to deal with the RNG otherwise it's merely a mildly boring game.

Yep, really enjoyed the game but I stopped shortly after room 46. Game does not respect your time (and I say that as a person with a lot of free time)

That depends entirely on your definition of skill. The people who figured every post room 46 puzzle without using Google (absolutely not me) are extremely skilled at deductive reasoning. Obviously they’re not going to a world final for esports but that just means that it’s a different type of skill.

Not really. I've looked it up too and more or less it's been the RNG that stops me from really progressing, at least at a fluid pace. It doesn't reward player skills in any way other than the puzzles which are fairly simple to solve. The game simply gatekeeps through RNG.

It's fine to just admit you weren't very good at a video game. There are dozens of ways you can learn to shift the odds in your favor when it comes to drafting, this is just a harder puzzle to solve than what you tend to find in the Parlor or Billiard Room.

The RNG is part of the puzzle. There are so many ways to manipulate it through both pattern recognition or in-game tools and mechanics. If you think the RNG is a problem, then you are either still in the early game or you aren't as clever as you think you are.

I enjoyed the game but mostly because I can kind of endure the resetting part of the game, but when I saw how grindy and directionless the post game was I just decided it wasn't worth the torture and just watched it on Youtube.

That’s why I kept a notepad at hand.

But RNG can absolutely be a bitch. I usually play one maximum two runs per day and sometimes it’s all going well and then you fuck up 40 minutes in and the whole run is ruined.

Still an amazing game that should be celebrated for its originality but it has its problems

Yeah, I won't lie I keep hearing that room 46 was not the end, but I haven't been able to get myself to keep playing it after finding the room the first time. If other people hadn't told me I would've thought I finished. gets quite tedious after a while

I knew there was more lore to find, but it just didn't feel that worth it. It gets quite tedious after a while.

I had a similar experience but did pick it back up despite my frustration. I'm glad I did.

You unlock lots of permanent upgrades that make the RNG much less of a thing. The game could be better about front-loading these, so people don't burn out before they reach the QOL unlocks.

There's just so much to do it's not gonna matter if you don't get something specific immediatelyÂ
