Persona 5. First playthrough just kept going and going. It felt like a fucking marathon. Everytime I thought it was wrapping up, it just dropped me into another HUGE plot point. Feel like my final save was something like 300 hours? Still fun game, just be sure to take breaks.
On my first play-through, the last 3 dungeons or so (everything after the casino) felt like the game should have already been over and turned into a slog.
Playing it through again on P5R felt better, but mostly because I knew it was coming.
That and they streamlined alot of combat and exploration that helped its pace. Combat is smoother and can be finished up quick, and If I remember correctly they gave the player more opportunities to go out and do stuff which helped a lot of stuff go faster. Royal was so good. I will always be a fan of the "Final Mix" approach to these RPGs and wish more devs would listen to players and deliver a refined version of the product instead of just dumping some update or adding a DLC that gives players what they want but only in a sliver of the game.
