It's on sale for less than $30 right now. I have 300ish hours in the game and I feel like a casual that hasn't beaten the game yet. It's addictive if you're into that kind of game.

Makes me wish that factorio would go on sale, though they know it’s like crack, so why would they?

Also I realize that some of these games, especially with their “overwhelmingly positive reviews” are worth buying off sale, so I’d say pull the trigger anyways! I didn’t regret buying satisfactory, I should follow my own logic for factorio

Official Statement from the devs on this:

It isn't about visibility or sales, its about respecting the players who have already purchased the game. We don't want to reward the people who hold off on buying the game, the game is a price we find reasonable, and this is the deal. If you think it is priced too high, then it is your choice to not purchase, and we hope that with enough time, and extra development, we will be able to convince you of its value.

Personally, I have nearly 1,000 hours in Factorio and believe it is one of the best video games ever created. I'm not exaggerating. It does absolutely everything right within its genre. It plays so well that it feels closer to a perfectly coded operating system than a game. It's like you could boot a computer directly into Factorio and think "Yeah, this is right."
