Atomic Heart, you spend 10 hours having a Bioshock adventure in an experimental lab, only to get out of the lab and now you are in an open world game.

If the entire game removed the open world, it would have been so much better. The open world just feels half baked & uninteresting.

The first dungeon of Atomic Heart was just fantastic, the tense atmosphere and monstrosities throughout the facility tied with all the scifi wonders was just magical to experience the first time.

Then you hit the "open world" and it just sucks it all away.

Yep, bought the game on sale recently, made it to the open world and just gave up. The enemies respawn way too quickly and it sucks the fun out of exploring because you're repeatedly killing the same enemies over and over. Also hate the main character. He's just aggressively standoffish with everyone and has weird catch phrases like "Shit on a shingle!" and "Crispy critters!"

Looks interesting but reviews are a bit mixed. I really want to try it but sounds like it may be too long for me right now.

I'm a few hours in and had to spend a few hours getting around a game locking bug that's been a known issue since 2023....

It's fun enough though and I like the cccp vibe

Story is kinda bad, but gameplay wise it is very solid. I also enjoyed the exploration and the few puzzles. It seems like this is a game you either can pass through its flaws and have a great time... Or can't and hate it

The exploration fell a little flat for me. I think it would have worked better with a Dark Souls style map. I still listen to some of the soundtrack even though I dropped the game. The shop music is absolutely peak.

It's a good game when you're in the levels, but the above ground parts are super mid and really drag it down as it kinda turns into a bit of stealth exploration. Get it for cheap and it's worth it, full price I wouldn't enjoy it. Great environment overall tho, looking forward to seeing what improvements they can do in the second.

Yeah, i got it for cheap in this last steam sale, i am happy with what i got for my money but it would have been a major let down if i had to pay full price for it.

Especially because its an expensive game at full price.

The story is kind of a mess to be honest, its like they tried to have a plot like bioshock but without giving any of the time the plot needed to be actually developed, hard to take it seriously.

The open world sections also arent really doing it for me, it kinda forces you to play stealth because enemies will endlessly respawn, so you cant just kill all of them to explore the area in peace, you have to avoid cameras and alarm type enemies otherwise it turns the game into a chore.

I am happy with what i got for the price i paid, bought it with a 70% discount on the last sale, would have been majorly upset if i had paid full price.

It's a Soviet-themed love letter to Bioshock. You need to adjust your setting quite a bit for it "feel" right, controls-wise, and the story is way too bro-tactic, but it's worth a play through.

I really wanted to love it but I got insane motion sickness when it originally launched and it didn’t have many settings to fix that. Has that changed?
