Huh, really? I guess it's related to it being VR game. Otherwise, I don't know how one would expect a short game in HL franchise! I completed it in 12h in my 2nd playthrough.
It's probably because it's such an insane experience that feels like genuine sci-fi tech that we shouldn't have at the current time lol. I had a similar experience because my mind basically thought "this must cost a fortune and be incredibly difficult to make this good, we're still in the era of figuring out how to do vr game design, I'm sure this can't be as long as your typical game"
It's a shame that Valve put so much effort into VR and it still hasn't really caught on. HLA blows everything else out of the water, too. Every other VR game feels like a tech demo by comparison.
We've been told there's now 70 tons of fully assembled devices delivered, in stock, ready to go out. Valve already paid for those to be made at current RAM prices, there's no reason for Valve to wait for those prices to go down
Really? I mean...I guess it's kinda long for a VR game, but I beat it in under 20hrs, which appears to be my playtime for Half-Life 2. I'd expect a AAA game to be at least 40hrs.
