I like the rounded corner 'floating' taskbar and the 'Modern Style' start menu but it annoys me that the start menu doesnt allign with the 'floating' task bar (see screenshot). Is it possible to adjust the position of the start menu to make it align, i.e. move it to the right?
Other menus allign 'Windows Pro' etc. but i prefer the 'Modern Style'.

Recently started using some Stardock apps (Start11 and Frames) and found Frames specifically to be incredibly buggy and unstable. What was more fun was the uninstall process after trying to get rid of it the intended way. Here's what they say you do:
- Use uninstall.exe or uninstall from Apps & Programs
- Restart PC upon uninstaller prompting you.
- Be free of the buggy mess they programmed.
Instead, I have seen some users, and experienced myself, running into an issue related to the Frame app staying in your Program Files (x86) / (x64) folder on your Local Disk (C:). This is due to two lovely facts they I found very concerning and annoying.
My favourite quote from this is:
**basj - "**Did you try running the purgexxx.bat again?
Thank you" after the user had already explained they have rerun the uninstaller and purge bats several times and completed several tasks beforehand.
Step 1. Open up your PCs Start Menu and type in "Recovery Options".
Step 2. Click "Advanced startup" under the Recovery Options, this will prompt you to restart your PC, click yes, make sure to save any documents and close any important applications.
Step 3. Your PC will restart to the Windows Recovery Bluescreen (the useful one), select Troubleshoot -> Command Prompt, opening up a standard windows command prompt.
Important: This is a recovery drive harboured in your Local Disk (C:), and is designated X:, and for some reason this reassigns the numbers to your drives, you will need do to the following to identify the Local Disk:
Step 4. Type "diskpart" and press enter, this will open up the disk partition tool in the command prompt, shown as the [DISKPART] > _ at the start of the command entry line.
Step 5. Type "list volume" and press enter, this will show all partition (allocated) drives and their associated letters. I found my C: drive to be reassigned to G:, yours may be different,
Step 5.1. You can manually check each drive by typing "C:" into the command line and the command prompt will set the current directory (directory read by the command prompt) to that drive, then type "dir" which will list out all directories and files in the drive, your Local Disk will have folders like User, Windows, and most importantly Program Files (x86).
Step 6. Once you have select your drive, for me this was G:, so that is what will be used for the examples, you can type in this command to get rid of either the whole of the stardock folder (I did because not dealing with any of the applications ever again) or just the Frames folder:
(Frames Only): "rmdir /s /q "G:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Frames""
(All Stardock Apps): "rmdir /s /q "G:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock""
Just for clarity, "rmdir" stands for remove directory, "/s" is a cmd flag to remove subdirectories as well, and "/q" is the quiet mode flag, which tells the command prompt to skip confirmation "Are you sure? (Y/N)" and just instantly deletes the directory.
Hope this helps if you are scratching your brain trying to remove corrupted applications, as this works with any software that has most lovely injected itself directly into the runwin32.dll or any runtime executable that windows relies on.

i'd been running with windowblinds10 for a couple years until at least 1-2 years ago due to compatibility issues with certain programs, and after uninstalling it, these weird ui glitches still remain. this software is my main suspect of the cause and i wanted to know what could possibly cause this, if not the software, as it has vexed me for months now. than you in advance.
addendum: i used a specific theme with it. i can't seem to find the original links, but i still have the wba, and will provide it if necessary.

So I auto hide my task bar, and sometimes when I move my cursor to the bottom, it doesn't bring it back. This really only happens when I have Firefox or other applications fullscreen, and can be corrected easily by changing the window size, but is still mildly annoying at times. Is there a setting I'm missing? Could I use Window's implementation on top of Start 11?

I've been using Start 11 for a while now. It's the only windows modification I use. I am using a left aligned taskbar. The system tray is displayed, but left and right clicking on the volume, calendar/clock, any of the system tray icons, as well as the arrow to show hidden icons do nothing at all. The start button and normal program icons work as normal. I have no idea what to do to troubleshoot this. I've restarted my computer several times, with no effect and I am using version 2.72 set to automatically check for updates.

when i tried to use nocturne while windowblinds luna theme is on. nocturnes titlebar was buggy, setting the windows version override made it black. while applying beautyfox it made it 70% buggy. on nocturnes readme.
on nocturnes readme it says it supports skins but windowblinds skins makes it buggy. to be honest. is it gonna get fixed. thank you

I’m trying to figure out whether ObjectDock layouts and icons can be transferred from one PC to another.
For example, if I set up ObjectDock on one computer with all of my preferred shortcuts, folders, icons, and dock organization, is there a way to save or export that setup and then reload the same dock on a separate computer without manually recreating everything (assuming those same programs that I saved on the dock are also installed on the second PC)? I don't just want to transfer the themes, I want to transfer everything (including the program icons and shortcuts).
I’m mainly trying to avoid rebuilding everything from scratch when moving to a new computer. If so, how can I go about doing this?

Good morning, Stardock community!
I'm using folder portals for the first time. I have my downloads as a small window, so I always have quick access to the files that get dumped there. It's sorted by 'date modified' so the newest should always appear first.
My problem is that I have to force the folder to refresh (which I accomplish with the Rollup feature) before I see the new item. Is there any way to make folder portals refresh automatically?

I wanted to get my copy of Fences 5 downloads from my account page but every time I try to log in, it gives me a 403 error. Tried it across multiple computers and a phone on cellular with same results. Is there something wonky with that part of the website?

Hi, long time Fences user here. I just upgraded to the latest version, but it creates a problem I never had before. I have a dual monitor setup, 1440p (180Hz, scale 125%) and 1080p (144 Hz, scale 100%).
When I launch Windows, the fences on the 1080p are displaying bigger icons that do not fit the original fence. If I drag the fence in the 1440p monitor and then drag it back to the 1080p monitor, the icons revert to the correct dimensions and fit correctly in the fence.
I never had this problem with any other Fences version before.
Ideas? Maybe there's a patch on the horizon?
Thanks

Every time there is a new update you don't allow the update unless I resign our agreement. This means I have to re read the whole agreement before signing it again. Obviously after having done that when I first bought and installed Fences I just cancel the update. Why do you do this. If there are changes to the agreement then highlight them so I don't have to go through it all. If there are no changes then why do I need to re sign it.
