I've been a paying member for 10+ years but I think I'm done.

I use it a lot for my works, but now people tell me it keeps to pushing the app, pop-ups, etc.

But today, the shitty algorithm removed a track I uploaded for copyright reason. It's a track from instruments I recorded yesterday, and the track it says I infringe copyright from is not even remotely similar to mine. WTF? Now I can't send it to the client, wasted time disputing the copyright claim and I'm still waiting for the answer. Ridiculous. I'm guessing they are using some AI slop algorythm to detect copyright and save on cost, but it sucks and doesn't even work.

I'm hoping someone here has experienced something similar or maybe a SoundCloud team member will see this.

I'm an Artist Pro subscriber and use SoundCloud Distribution to release my music. Unfortunately, I've been trying to contact Support for months without receiving a single response from a human.

I currently have three open tickets:

• #4658726

The oldest one has been open since May 15, 2026.

The issue is that my releases keep getting rejected. My music is 100% self-produced in FL Studio. I create my own melodies, drums, and arrangements. I don't use AI-generated music, and I've already removed anything that could potentially cause issues. I also don't use third-party loops or samples that would require additional licenses.

The frustrating part is that I can't find out what the actual problem is because nobody responds to my tickets. I've followed every rejection note I've received, resubmitted my releases, and I'm still stuck without any explanation.

At this point I'm honestly wondering:

• Has anyone else waited this long for Support?
• Is there any way to actually reach a human at SoundCloud?
• Has anyone managed to get Distribution issues resolved recently?

I really like SoundCloud and would prefer to keep releasing my music there, but after waiting this long with no communication, I'm seriously considering moving my catalog to another distributor.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

this has happened to me twice on different devices, where no matter how many songs i click on or whatever, soundcloud just doesn’t give me ads. it still gives those pop up ads, though. it goes away when i delete and redownload it. usually, i just use soundcloud to listen to singular video games soundtracks on loop because it doesn’t give me ads that way (apart from clicking on the song), so i don’t use it super often, but i still find this kind of weird. both of the times this has happened im on ios, by the way. all of my devices are logged into the same account, but only two of them are ad-free. i’ve never used the free trial, nor have i ever paid for soundcloud. i just have no idea why this happens lol

Now when SoundCloud have lyrics panel, I went further and built a player that takes any track (local or SoundCloud, transcribes it with an AI model, and maps every word to a vibration pattern. Three modes:
• Lyrics mode — feel each word as vibration
• Instrument mode — vibrations follow the mix/layout
• Full mode — lyrics + instruments layered

Track upload & config generation takes about 3 mins (on backend service that deployed on Modal)

I tried to speak with SoundCloud, and the answer is that:

SoundCloud does not show artist-wide star ratings, and the feedback tools available to listeners are tied to individual tracks through comments and reactions rather than a public overall review section for an artist.

Do you think it would be a helpful artist rating feature?

Dumb question: How to share a song on Whatsapp to someone that does not have the App? I share some of my songs on Whatsapp and I got no reaction. So I asked the person and he told me that he does not have the SoundCloud App and he can not listen to the song.

I submitted three tickets, shared the info directly with Soundcloud and crickets.

This is systemic from poor testing, lack of customer service and rushing updates.

Time to move on from garbage services.

Not publicly announced. Not transparently communicated to the artist community whose content funds the entire platform. Behind closed doors.

Let that sit in the context of everything documented in this post.

Google has blocked their advertising. Monetisation is silently switching off on new uploads. Geoblocks are being overridden in real time. The platform is bleeding value daily. Independent artists are being systematically underpaid through a structure they never agreed to. And the entire infrastructure is sitting in limbo.

The board looked at all of that and voted confidence. Quietly. Without telling anyone.

That is not corporate governance. That is a decision being made away from the people it affects most.

Because if you genuinely believed you were making the right decision for your platform and your artists you would say so publicly. You would explain your reasoning. You would communicate with the community that built your company.

You vote behind closed doors when you do not want the people affected by the decision to know about it until it is too late to do anything.

Either they do not know what they are running. Or they know exactly what they are running.

Neither answer is good for independent artists.

Do not upload. Do not trust the dashboard. Screenshot everything. And watch who buys this platform when the price is right.

i’m an artist by the name of Wavsend and i’ve been making music and posting to all platforms since 3 1/2 years ago and at the moment i’m 17 i make every type of music i sing rap produce and engineer everything ive learned everything myself i’ve been trying to personally work with soundcloud such as signing a deal with them not like a record deal but a service deal so that i could have them post me and also for working with soundcloud and being sponsored by soundcloud how would i go about doing something like that

I'm relatively new to music production ( I do House/Electronics). One of the reasons I release on SoundCloud is to have the initial 100+ listeners and have an initial feedback on the song. Being new this provides an easy way to get streams.

This has worked well in the past with the initial 100 streams triggering the inclusion of my song into the Trending Weekly playlists and I generating 5k+ streams and about 2% of "likes" ( that although maybe "low", it at least suggests these streams were somehow organic).

The other day I launched a song and in matter of minutes the 100+ streams evaporated and I could easily see most of them came from Vietnam. 0 likes, 0 comments. Now coming from the cybersecurity field I know exactly what happened.

Did this happen to you? Is this why ppl limit access to selected regions?
