As Thawtide’s chill blows through Midrath, we reach the turning of another year, looking back on a world that has grown bolder, stranger, and more alive with each step taken through Soulframe Preludes.
Together, we stepped into sap-dreams and freed Bromius from rotting roots. We Bestitched with a certain witch and crept into the crypts of The Circade. Some found rest among Alca’s Children, others shared sips of gloaming in the Drippin’ Flagon, while others still made Kith of Kings. We faced the Agari, crossed blades with the Mendicant King, startled skittish Will-o-wings from the brush. Through Magick weapons grown or forged, Totems charmed from wild critters, and Pacts shaped by Spirit, Courage, or Grace, together we gave Alca its rhythm.
Many Envoys also chose to become Founders, to carve their name upon Soulframe from the very beginning. Thank you. Your belief in this world means more to us than we can properly put to words.
Now, the Longnight stands before us. Thawtide is live! Across Midrath, the Cardinals’ song is threatened by Ode Squawkers. It falls to you, Envoy, to destroy these traps and help wake the resting sun.
As we look toward 2026, the direction is set. We’re doubling down on the systems that define Soulframe. Virtues will matter more. The Nightfold will grow in purpose. The Ode’s plans will begin to unfold in full. New Pacts, Fables, Festivals, and Wylds await. What you choose, what you prepare for, and what you confront will carry further than before.
Our studio will soon step back for brief respite over the holidays before returning to Alca with fresh eyes. Thank you for joining us this year. We’ll see you very soon.
Megathread 2 is to full lol, so here is the third one which everyone can use here to share codes! Also moderator applications will be announced very soon!
I'm 40yrs Old. My gamer's life began with Sega Mega Driver and Sonic. Of course now i don't play for adrenaline or competition but for relaxing and enjoying the vojage.
Since i saw Soulframe for the first time i'm waiting for it (on console) so badly, for example i don't care about GTA6 but i can't wait for Soulframe.
I started playing in preludes 13, back with the old inventory and blueprints drop system, and after a break came back after the Tennocon. I remember using some of the free Arcs they give to buy weapon storage, but now that makes me cautious about purchasing storage capacity right now.
Weapons are not a big deal, I can manage that, but the same storage is used for both weapons, armor pieces and pacts, and I wanted to collect the latter two. I've already bought storage capacity with free Arcs and reached full capacity twice.
I'm going to put money into the game regardless, cuz I'm thinking of buying one of the founder packs, but wanted to know how others feel about the current system, especially those that follow the game more closely than I do.
I've never had a problem running this game before in the previous Preludes, but ever since 14 and 15 I can't play for more than an hour at a time without giving my PC a break to cool back down.
I know there is a bug currently that will make people lose items if they don't return to Nightfold. From what I've heard that mostly happens in multiplayer.
Last night I got my Falx up to level 29 and got my last world tree, and today my Falx is back to level 27 and I need to get the world tree again. Feels like this is a completely different bug to not having your inventory save.
Anyone else experience that kind of progress loss?
I recently got lucky and dropped a Moonsteel Needleseye, and now I'm wondering if it's worth selling Moonsteel weapons at the moment or if it's smarter to hold onto them for future updates.
Do you think their value will go up later, or is there no real reason to keep them? What are you guys doing with your Moonsteel weapons—selling them or saving them?
Already posted on the official forms, but going to ask here as well. Has anyone encountered a bug were after finishing the quest.... it just stays in your codex? And further more, whenever you login or zone, it plays the quest complete animation?
First image is me logging in, 2nd is the codex, and 3rd is codex when I went into an Undercity votive for the third stage.... I have 3 votives.
I've come across this room (Undercity) multiple times, but can't figure it out. There is a ladder leading to a small room, but the door that leads to the ledge is blocked. There are three button-like stones on the floor, but they don't seem to react to anything. There is a weapon rack up there, so I'm sure there is a way...
For me, it has been Mora's Hand; because I love Fire themes.
While I would prefer it to be a ranged/mage most times, currently we don't really have any Flame runes for Staff, Gauntlets, or even Bow. So I've been using Sword or Sword/Shield.
But what I love is how everything about the setup can be Fire/Flame. With Enkindled on my eapons, they glow with Fire, the Rune ability is Flame, and ALL three of the Pact skills are Flame/Fire. But also, they are actually all useable in the rotation. Flame Thorns > Run in, Flame AoE > Fireball any shield or tough ones; while slashing with Fire sword and stabby fire rune. And more often that not, pulling smite recharges the ones on cooldown and makes them useable again without long waits.
So it's fire everywhere, and things burning/melting everywhere.
Anyways, this made me curious on which other themes/Pacts other people have fun playing, and why (even if it's not the strongest).
PS. Of some of the others I tried, I didn't like some being more situational, so they didn't get much use etc. And there was often a disconnect between the Pact, and the weapon/combat game play.
I'm a new player of around a week or two and I'm having a great time on the whole, but I'm more than a little puzzled as to why there hasn't been a hotfix for Avakot's shop given that - from what I can gather - the bug has been known for around a month at this point.
The patch leather farm is truly horrendous as a new player. If I hadn't learned that we're supposed to be able to get crafting mats from Avakot I would have bounced right off this game, because getting new armour pieces is a dreadful grind - and if you prioritise the armour, you miss out on first new pact you unlock in Garren Rood. I would have thought that something so deleterious to the new player experience would have been hotfixed as soon as possible, particularly with an influx of new players (like myself) following Tennocon and the open weekend.
I never played Warframe - is this sort of delay in addressing serious bugs normal / common?
Just got a code, I don't know anything about the Preludes process. I assume any progress from this version of the game will be wiped in the future. Is your progress reset between different Preludes versions? How long is this version expected to be up until? Are there specific times that the servers are up or are they just online all the time?
Hi guys just heard of this game ! Looks interesting, thinking of picking it up with friends. Does it have a lot of multiplayer content ? Or is it mostly solo with occasional (maybe end game?) multiplayer bosses ?
Alright guys I know what I’m about to ask is prob super dumb but I’m new to the game and I guess I’m having a hard time figuring things out. I’ve unlocked all of the ancestors and I know I can get new weapons by playing the game with RNG drops and I’ve gotten some great weapons but what about armor? Is it the same where I keep playing the game and doing quests and eventually I’ll get fragments for new armor? I’ve seen some rad armor pieces but the store is pretty limited but I haven’t found anything in the armor department yet. I’m also not sure about the preludes and how they work. Are they just more quests and stuff that get added? I’ve been trying to do the main quests in the journal and get stuck at certain points and am just having a hard time getting sucked into the game overall with customization. I’m loving the combat though.
Hi all, I recently joined the game and had a blast for couple of days.
At this point, i have:
- all Fables completed
- 3 beast quests done: stag, wolf and bear
- completed Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 Sagas
- got my faction leveled to rank 3
- my weapon and pact are around rank 20.
- discovered most of the map
What else would be worth doing at this point?
I have to say, the current limitations of fast travel and lack of mounts is starting to annoy me and unless there are some other things I could do, I think I would prefer to wait until next release that will speed up the exploration.
Also few questions:
- whats the best way to level up gear 20 - 30, is there an optimized method/location?
- i read somewhere that combat arts might be dropped/reworked but that post was months old now, is it worth spending time now leveling other weapons within same category?
I read somewhere that you only have to complete the stag quest so i did that and ive run around the entire island checking every shipwreck but nothing has spawned. Am i missing something?
