I have this weird glitch in my game, it causes all of the anniversary edition armors to be grainy and low poly, I would have posted this in r/skyrim but I have never rly used reddit before and I hope someone can help here, does anyone know what causes this and how I can fix it, it happens for every single “alternate armor” if youd like to see my mod list or anything like that I can try and show it so I can be helped further

Hi y'all! I moved to Mint from Bazzite recently, and after installing some games and lots of mods, I tried to play Skyrim. Problem is that I couldn't open the command console with any of my keyboard's keys and in controls there wasn't any option to change the mapping.

I've also tried launching the game without mods and doing a fresh install, but the problem persisted.

I did all special jobs for Delvin, the one I'm having an issue with is the Windhelm Armourer, Vanryth Gatharian, no matter what he wont spawn in the Ragged Flagon, meaning I can't get Brynjolf to talk to me and do the ceremony or wtv, all he says is 'Sorry, I have more important things to deal with.' Anybody know any solutions or anything, I didnt have the USSEP mod on cause it was glithing, but I managed to now fix it.

I have finished the quest purity of revenge but then vilkas just tells me the the others are getting ready but then no one is at the funeral. I have tried the setstage, killing the Smith and bringing him back and nothing happens is like there script are stuck. Can anyone help?

I've been playing the anniversary edition on the switch 2 and its been fun but my game keeps freezing at weird spots.

right now im trying to get to the rataways but every time i walk through riften my character freezes :( i can still look around and access the menus, shout and unsheath my weapon but i cant use my weapon or magic and i cant walk.

the compass bar at the top of the screen disappears too. i can unfreeze by going back to a save before travelling to riften but it wont let me progress at all past that. it happened when i was trying to go past helgen. ive reset my switch but it didnt help. has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it??

Hey guys, I've been trying to look around to find someone with a similar problem but found nothing. I don't remember how I started the quest (problem a jarl bounty) but I have, in my misc quest log, the quest titled "Kill the leader of Treva's Watch in The Rift". The problem is that although I can see the quest in my quest log, I am unable to select it to track it (pressing A on it in my pause menu literally does nothing).

I've been through here several times since noticing the bug trying to kill the 2 bandit leaders that spawn here and have successfully done so each time, but it does nothing for the quest. I wouldn't worry about bothering with the completing it but I believe it's pending status is making it so I can't speak to inn keepers about rumors. I will add that I had previously cleared this dungeon long ago unrelated to the quest as well as have tried several commands to try and force the quest complete or move it along. Any help is appreciated.

So I modded my College of Winterhold with a few mods and it was going fine until one playthrough I found that the stairs were blocked by pillars for some reason, i reconfigured the plugins and their was now doors in front of the stairs but those stairs (including from the lower layer) still existed but didnt have an exit.

Im using Mod Organizer 2 and the main mod im using is Obscure's college of winterhold but i also use Immersive College with Ultimate College of Winterhold and College Modifications but until I added extra mods (that shouldnt affect Winterhold such as Beastiary) there wasnt any issues.

Anyone have any tips aside from turning off each and testing it sepreatly because each of those mods has about 5 plugins which also affect things.

it’s my first playthrough and i cant kill dragons for the life of me. i’ve used melee weapons my whole playthrough but haven’t had any luck using them nor any other means of fighting to kill dragons. i can fight any other thing in the game perfectly fine but ive been trying to kill this dragon for about 2 hours and i ended up losing my follower because of overusing quicksave and not realizing she had died. i need tips on EVERYTHING, im obsessed with the game so far but i find it very hard and confusing.

I have a problem since very far behind in the Game where theres ítems that are marked as quest ítems and i cant get rid of or use like the alto wine and the Giants toe, at this point is starting to annoy the shit out of me bc of how much space i'm My inventory is taking not to mention that i cant use the Giants toe for the expensive potions, i every once in a while try to eat or store them and it has worked a couple times but very very rarely and only with one or two, still wontt let me use it in alchemy labs or anything and i have like 49 jajaja help? Sorry, My English is rusty

I've spent the past week or two helping my girlfriend play through Skyrim: Special Edition and we've hit a bit of a hurdle. To give some context, she's a completionist who'd never played the game before and I've put several thousand hours in (although on PC, so console would help me from time to time when glitches arose), so I was more or less helping her navigate and make the right choices for obtaining all the Xbox achievements.

We got to the point where she needed to level up to 50 for the Master achievement, and level a skill to 100 for the Skill Master achievement. I decided to kill two birds with one stone and went ahead to do the Telekinesis exploit, using Arcana Power from the Dragonborn DLC. I got the Alteration skill to a hundred and made the skill legendary a few times, but I noticed that none of those times culminated in me getting the Skill Master achievement. To further things, my girlfriend also went ahead and finished buying land, then building and furnishing all of her houses for a few more achievements, so we have a lot of progress since then.

I thought maybe the exploit didn't work correctly for the achievement so I leveled up One-Handed (legit) to 100 as it was already pretty high. That didn't seem to help anything. I thought also that the save might have been corrupted or something, so I went back to a very far back save (like several days old) and tried breaking out of Whiterun prison, but that didn't trigger the associated achievement either.

We haven't touched mods the entire playthrough (obviously) and we've been fully connected to internet services so the achievements should have immediately registered. I am beginning to suspect that the issue is either a weird Xbox quirk and it'll resolve in a few days, or we've completely messed up the save to the point where achievements won't register anymore. My girlfriend is really upset about the idea of not being able to finish her goal, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm trying to do the trueflame questline. So far I have all the masks and it SAYS I've done all the pre-requisite quests. Yet I only have 3/4 of the forge gems. Idk which one I've missed. I did kill the cult (I'm pretty sure, it's been a while lol I've been sitting on this one for a minute) I also snagged all the fancy weapons from the armory.

I've double checked all the per-requisite spots and can't find diddly. Is it just screwed? Bugged? Will it live in my quest book forever next to blood on the ice and legends lost?

A very strange bug with some armor and cloaks, somehow related to faster hdt-smp. If I turn off physics, the torso moves normally. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Having problems with purity quest and haven't been able to find anyone else with same bug as me, for reference I have finished all factions, main quest etc.

Vilkas is offering me the purity quest but whenever I see people complaining online, they say to do radiant quest from farkas/aela. I have not been offered a single radiant quest since completing the companions. Aela and Farkas either do not offer dialogue options or only give me the option to have them as followers. I have 3 witch heads and no bounties. I've tried fast traveling, using them as followers and then asking but nothing changes. Is my game just buggered??

Hey, So i've got this sound that i'm not sure where it could come from. All i know this happend right after "Black Star" Quest and i think it was just after Nelacar used soul trap on me. I know their is the way of just transforming into a vampire lord or use sexchange command but this annoying to do it after i reload a save.

Hello, since 2 days ago every save I make, manual and auto saves, crash my game. I red the first crash log I got and from my understanding this had something to do with onedrive. My skyrim saves were in fact on a onedrive file on my pc, so I made sure to unlink onedrive and make my My Document file a local file. Sadly it did nothing, I have a save from 3 days ago I can load into, but every save I make after seems to get corrupted. Normally I can figure out what the crashlogs say, but this time I'm at a lost, so I wanted to please ask for your help to know how could I fix this.

Ever have the game just sit there at the loading screen and never progress forward? Not frozen, but constant looping.

It’s happened to me about 5-6 times now over the past 25-30 hours of game play, not a huge deal but irritating. Have to basically restart in order to move forward.

Just curious if others who play on the Switch 2 have had that issue and what you did to stop it.
