Review of an apartment complex
Hi! My family and I are moving out of state to the area and I was wondering if anyone had any reviews for the Avalon San Bruno or any complex in the similar in the area?

I'm moving from a small suburb for a job at Google's San Bruno office. I'll be in the office 3 days a week, have a car, and my budget is under $3,000/month. I'd prefer to live alone in a 1-bedroom if possible.
I'm looking for advice on:
I'd love to hear from anyone who works at Google or has made a similar move. Thanks!

Has anyone else noticed the airplane noise from SFO getting unbearably loud and constant over the last several months? I’ve been living here for almost 5 years and it’s never been an issue, but it’s getting to the point where I’m seriously considering moving out of San Bruno.

Hey, I am a new grad working at Youtube starting the end of June. I have been looking for apartments for rent starting that time. So far I have not got much luck. My budget is around $2700 for a studio/1b1b. I prefer places close to the office as I will not have a car. However I still plan on getting a scooter, so I can still manage a bit further distance. If anyone has a room or knows any recommendations for apartments in that price range please let me know!

Hi everyone — I’m Dr. Omid Elie. I opened a small dental office called Ohm Dental in Foster City back in September and wanted to introduce myself to the community here.
We’re a family-focused practice with a big emphasis on prevention, hygiene, and not making people feel rushed or judged at the dentist. I know a lot of people genuinely hate dental visits, so we try hard to make the experience calmer and more transparent.
We’re located on Hillsdale Blvd near Safeway, and we’re in-network with most PPO plans.
Not trying to spam the subreddit — just wanted to say hello and let people know we’re here if anyone has been looking for a local dentist.
Happy to answer questions in the comments too.

Leaders joined the family of a fallen World War II veteran Wednesday for his funeral in San Bruno, concluding the final chapter of a mystery surrounding his fate that left his loved ones in the dark for more than 80 years.
For 81 years, the whereabouts of his remains were unknown to his family until a recent identification through DNA.

What happened to Gintai just south of Celia’s on ECR in SB? We loved that place and booked a table on an app several months ago. When we arrived, there was a sign saying, Sorry, closed. we were hoping it was just a vacation or something, but it’s been months.

Hello! Not sure if this is the right spot, but I'm looking for sublet info. I have a biotech internship near South SF but want to stay closer to SanBruno from June to September and I'm looking for a room for rent ($1,000–$1,200). I won’t have a car, so I'm hoping to stay near the San Bruno BART or Caltrain to catch the shuttles. I've checked Facebook but I'm having a hard time finding active groups—does anyone have leads or advice on where to look? Thanks!

Does anyone know if Brow Art 23 in Tanforan might be relocating now that Tanforan is closed? They’ve been the only place I trust to thread my brows for almost a decade.
Heartbroken to see they were closed in Tanforan, but it makes sense. Hoping they relocate because their talent is unmatched :( looking for recommendations!!

My boyfriend (45M, currently lives in the EB) and I (38F, I currently live and work in SF) are planning to move in together and are considering San Bruno. I have a son (7 years old), who goes to school in San Francisco. I’ll work to keep a lot of his current friend relationships (and he will also continue to have time in SF with his dad, 50/50 custody), and I also want to build some community for him if moving to a new city.
My boyfriend is social and has always known his neighbors, so he reassures me we’ll get to know neighbors wherever we go. I’m wondering if folks also have tips on how to meet new families and find other kids my son’s age in the San Bruno area? Thanks so much for your time :)
