For those who are unaware, Chisa Yokoyama (the VA for Sakura) hosts a summer concert every year, and this time the special guests are the VA for Reni and Ogami.

I have never played the series and one of the main reasons is i tend not to play dating sims that don't let you rename the protagonist. Personally i would love if a new game let you rename the protagonist let me be clear they can still have a voice and some type of personality. Like super robot wars for instance let's you rename the protagonist and I feel like that's enough. In sakura wars your making decisions and stuff so it would definitely make you renaming the protagonist hit better even if they have a voice because you're making decisions. Also people might point out the characters not calling you by your name but one you could make the family name unchanged tho that might make it feel less like you or the fact you have a military title means most characters are calling you by that anyway. As said all i want is a rename option. Also i do own the reboot i just haven't gotten to it yet.

My favorite comment from the video is how fan merchandise and games can be likened to crops and soil, and you can't keep harvesting on barren soil.

I also loved how the video addresses the desire from fans to just be able to play the games on modern consoles, and why it may not be that simple on Sega's side to fulfill that.

So I was thinking if SEGA makes a compilation of the first 2 games, just putting the 2 roms with a emulator, no upscaling or quality of life features, at best a Radio mode to listen to the OST and a digital art book, would you be ok if they use the fan translations without permission as long they release it overseas, even as a digital only game?

Overall it was a great experience even if I didn't understand everything, the fight scenes in episode 5 were great and episode 6 was pure Sakura Wars ending chapter, Amazing, besides the girls calling Shinjiro's gay ass at the end was the cherry on top, hahahahahah

I started watching the OVAs of SWV and I'm dying of laughter, I can't understand everything but I manage to catch a couple words and the context is pretty clear, they seriously find any excuse to have Shin in a dress huh? My favorites are the date with Diana, girl got a awakening seeing Shin with glasses, them getting lingerie for him at the end of episode 1, the breakfast part of episode 2 and the fight in episode 3, and everything about episode 4, shins mom is a riot and very progressive by accepting his trans daughter (hahahahaha) as far I can understand Tutankamon as an antagonist is OK, I think he has more personality than Nobunaga but I'm glad they cut this part from the game because this would have made the story there weird by having 2 main bad guys, I still need to watch episodes 5 and 6 but so far it has been a good experience, man I miss these characters

The Midsummer Festival is a live show that's been held every year since 2018, sponsored by the Ueno tourism board, with Sakura Shinguji as a regular and different guests from the cast each year! This year the guests are Ogami and Reni. Moreover, this will be Reni's first in-character appearance since 2014!

These shows have been getting international streaming since 2022, and this year is no different! The platform for the past 2 years has been Animate. Here's some important notes on buying tickets:

• You need to register on Animate Club first. They have the option to register with an international phone number (though their SMS provider might take a couple minutes), and the name and address aren't even required fields for registering.
• They do accept international credit cards/payment methods.
• You need to enter an address when placing an order, however this is just to keep face with foreign export laws and they don't actually check nor ship anything. You can put a proxy service mailbox if you have one, or any random Japanese address (that actually exists on the map) from the internet!

‎It is important to support the show as we approach the 30th anniversary to show Sega that there's interest in the franchise, especially from overseas.

2024's show ended up getting over 200K live views, not counting views from the VOD after the live stream ended. There's so much potential to reach that number again or even surpass it this year! ‎ ‎I hope everyone will be able to buy a ticket and enjoy the show!
