I had a medical issue and had to withdraw in the last 2-3 weeks of my final semester in college. Not even joking. Now I am facing plausibly two more semesters. To be honest, I think I just wanna drop out. At least this wasnt RUScrew

Hey all. I’m an incoming transfer student who is registering for classes this Friday. I haven’t received any additional information besides where it is held and the time. I did orientation a couple weeks ago and received an email with an itinerary, lunch information, as well as a way to register for a parking day pass. Am I missing something or is this how it goes with the STAR day? TIA!

My son starts Rutgers in a month. Parent financial websites from the school advise books should be expected to cost 2-3000 a year. What am I realistically looking at for his first semester, gearing towards engineering studies? I know in my day books were a scam and expensive, but isn’t 99% of everything online these days.

I know it's a lot of credits.

Think I can easily drop Psych or Korean w/o hurting the schedule if I hate it during the add/drop period.

Professors are Stern for Bio, Kyoung Moon Jan for Korean 101, Brynildsen for Psych, Letwin for Theater and I'm 99% sure that Chem is Prof Muniz.

I'm a commuter btw, gonna try and snag a primary pass at college ave and then get a secondary at c/d.

You can sign up for it on MyRutgers, its included in your term bill so you just pay along w ur tuition, just make sure to pick it up at Onestop if u forgot to do so at NSO

Did any one receive the decisions for the HC sophmore application? I know they delayed it to this week but wanted to confirm if got rejected LMFAO

So a while ago I've been scouring for apartments in NB, and some of them were rooms in single-family houses rented as one unit allotted for a certain number of tenants (say, 4-8). However, in many of these arrangements, the tenants often used dens, living rooms, or attics as bedrooms, despite those not being legally zoned as bedrooms.

It's really pissed me off, since at the time I was on my parents' paycheck, and when they found out I was to be living in an attic with roommates unwilling to really change around where they slept, they sort of had a fit, and in the end they ended up having the upper hand and forcing me to back out of the contract last-second and find a replacement tenant, citing fire safety concerns. It made me extremely distraught how insane they were about the law, or the likelihood of a house fire which could happen in any house regardless of arrangement.

The ordeal was utterly humiliating, and it coaxed my views on housing policy into more YIMBY, "build more + denser housing to solve the cost of living crisis" views. Despite my parents warning me about how hot or cold an attic room could be, it in fact made me want one more than ever. My previous housing arrangement gave me a lot of square footage for the price I paid owing to this (IIRC the room was legally a double or triple), and in that, 2 of my friends slept in the attic, using it as a room. They seemed to get along there really well, handling e.g. heat or cold using fans and space heaters. It felt like such a comforting nook, a shelter from the rest of the house, not to mention a very convenient spot in the house to isolate oneself from parties or activity downstairs.

Need help! Recently just got accepted to Rutgers MITA program and im super excited. Curious to see how people paid off their tuition during semesters and what jobs they took on campus or out of campus that have good tuition reimbursement or decent pay. Looking for Part time jobs and interested in seeing if ppl juggled between 1-2 jobs.

I am also taking part time classes for my first semester just because I want to prolong my studies and secure a summer internship before I graduate but also because I am coming from another institution so I want to get use to RU curriculum.

Hey! I am going to b a freshman at MGSA next year and will be dorming in New Gibbons. I'm very curious what the lofting situation is. i've heard varying statements on whether or not you can loft your bed or rise your bed at all without bed risers and i'd just love. the most accurate up to date info, i'm mostly hoping to get it high enough to put more storage down there but in an ideal world I could get it high enough to even through my desk under but that may be a stretch lol. I'm totally fine buying bed risers if I have to but I'd obvi prefer to not worry about it. Any insight is great even if you didn't/don't live in New Gibbons. Thanks so much!

I’m a transfer student, about to start my junior year at Rutgers NB. I was considering dorming and had a few questions for the same

• Is there any scholarship for dorming (that’s also applicable to transfer students)
• What’s the cost like off campus yet nearby? (per month or per semester)
• How do yall manage food? I’m a vegetarian so i’m nervous about that
• Would you recommend it if it was up to me to cover the cost (I’d basically be working to cover the dorm costs if I do dorm)
