She’s gaining a 1lb every 2-3 days and is already a 42 lb sweetheart at almost 4.5 months old. Mind you she’s a shithead and is crazy, but a sweetheart. Everything yall said about these cute stubborn loyal aloof assholes has been true; however, when she DOES listen to her name she’s the cutest puppy imaginable. We have her in classes regularly and it’s working out well, but alas, she’s a puppy. Also, potty training her was a breeze. It took around 3-4 days until she understood where to go to the bathroom and how to get there. She’s a 75% pyr and 25% Anatolian (Colorado Mountain Dog). She’s the perfect fit to our Minnesotan family lifestyle, and I couldn’t be happier with this cute psychopath.

We had a pretty bad storm a few days ago. Driving home from work I saw this little lady sheltering under a tree by a busy road.

I brought her home and figured someone out there would be missing her. Nope, nothing. No chip, no phone number on the tag, just her name. Vet diagnosed her with roundworms and fleas on top of that. Went ahead and got her vaccinated while we wait to see if anyone claims her, but I'm pretty sure she was dumped. It's really common in my area unfortunately.

Shelters around here don't do intakes cuz they're over capacity, so I guess we have a new baby in the house!

She had a vet visit yesterday and they prescribed her with an antibiotic as a prophylactic due to the fact that she is still having issues with shooting milk out of her nose. No cleft palate present, she’s just really really eager and just lacks coordination. Otherwise she is doing great, gaining weight on target, and super chubby and cute!

Apfeltasche (Tasha) is a standard red miniature dachshund who, according to my hands and a few stuffed animals, is also part chainsaw. This is what I woke up to at 7:30am. Apparently, I have insulted her ancestors and must pay dearly.

She's 7 weeks old and the breeder said Tasha might get to 8 lbs. Right now, she's 2.5 lbs. and it's all viciousness. Unless she's resting in my wife's arms. Then Tasha is the cutest, sweetest little chaos nugget you've ever seen.
