Hello, just want to share this weird subgenre i found and i really wanna have a conversation about it, so i was having an open conversation with an Ai yesterday at work since i was bored.

I really wanted to know more about punk i was recently so interested by this culture, it philosophy and ut music. So as a person who live in an arabic muslim society i asked how could this culture that is entirely based on rebellion, anarchy, freedom and else fit in a muslim society (since we know damn well how authoritarian islam is).

What caught my eyes is the "TAQWACORE"!

basically a movement that started with muslims who adopted the punk philosophy to defend themselve from Islamphobia especially after 9/11 and the ISIS wars.

However, that was weird since as i mentioned the two are so contradictory??! I came up with some conclusions but i really wanna hear yours regarding it respectfully!
