Hi, while I'm a mod for this sub, I only initially joined having worked with this mod team on other subreddits to help out with volume. I personally have not played Pokemon Legends Arceus. As the only currently active moderator, I've decided to remove the "No Repetitive Screenshots" rule. I mod other game subs, like r/TeamfightTactics and r/thelastofus, and what I've found is that when games are not repeatedly patched/changed for a competitive scene, game subreddits reach a point after release where there is very little "fresh" content that can be contributed. As a result, I've removed the automod configs that autoremove shiny posts (if the team has an automation set up to manage shiny sundays, I may have to revisit that next week). I think at this point in time it's better to be less strict on content quality regulation and allow people who are discovering and enjoying the game far past its release a chance to participate and share their experiences.
Again, I have not played the game personally. I review the mod queue for this game but only take action to remove bigotry and ban accordingly. If your posts are getting removed, it's likely either automod or Reddit's spam filters (which may happen with Reddit's AI) -- so send a modmail for those.

Was just gonna go back to Floaro Gardens to finish the remaining four Silcoon by defeating them in battle and decided to go for some some the defeat Ponyta with water moves and see Golduck use Aqua tail, and saw this. It ain't exactly normal that two Alpha Rapidash spawns here in this location right? I've only ever seen one.

I started hunting in the Crimson Mirelands 1 month ago after I got a shiny alpha Unown in a massive mass outbreak (MMO). Since I still had static shalphas to hunt in this area, I decided to use the MMO method to reset for 2 alphas.
First, I went for a shiny alpha Onix and it shined after 766 resets. Then I cleared another outbreak before the MMO ended to reset for a shalpha Lickilicky, a pokemon that I tried to get last year, but couldn't get because I got a random shalpha Lickitung after 900 resets.
But this time I got the Lickilicky after 522 resets and completed a triple shiny alpha hunt.
My next goal is to hunt for some shiny alphas in the Obsidian Fieldlands and checking massive mass outbreaks of alphas that I don't have.

Hello! I'm missing some pokémons to complete my pokédex and most of them usually appear in the space-time distortions. If there's someone that want to help me and have more than one of those pokémons let me know please. Thank you!

Not sure if this is actually a bug but I found this wurmple with red eyes and when I looked it had the red alpha icon but I could catch it without battling it or using sticky globs, has this happened to anyone else?
Edit: it happened for the second time? Ig it’s not a bug?

Guys, does the game actually get any better?
I’m nearing my third star, and so far I’m honestly finding it painfully boring. It feels like an endless cycle of catching Pokémon, calming frenzied Pokémon, completing fetch quests, and frolicking around vast empty areas without anything particularly interesting happening.
The characters are uninteresting, the story is nonexistent, and none of the quests have had much depth. I could forgive the repetitive gameplay if the plot were compelling, but at the moment, it just feels meaningless.
I’m also not enjoying the battle system at all. I much prefer the traditional Pokémon battles, and I’m getting increasingly irritated by the fact that I can’t stand still anywhere for five seconds without some wild Pokémon launching itself at me and knocking my character out.
So, genuinely: does the story become deeper or more interesting later on? Because if this is more or less what the rest of the game is like, I think I’m ready to call it quits.

I’m trying to 100% my Pokédex (I have not finished the main story yet tho..) and I’m working on Togekiss. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how I’m supposed to defeat 1 when I’ve only ever seen them flying around. I can catch them, I’ve hit them with sticky globs, I’ve thrown Pokémon in wingballs at them, but I have not been able to battle one. Please help! Do I just need to finish the main story and get some power up? Or do I just have a skill diff? TIA!

I have a question, as a newer player.
Once I get a 10 in the research tasks, should I stop catching that type of pokemon? Like, does catching them do anything for us (meaning we get more points or money when we return the survey) after we’ve already gotten a 10?
I’ve got a 10 on most in the first area that I have access to so far in the game but I want to keep getting better (both as a player and my team) before trying to move too far into the second area and those time-space distortions. I also need to keep making money and moving rank though so I don’t want to waste my time.
Any clarification would be great!

Basically what the title says. I just really need to vent about finding Silicon. As I'm assuming people already know this, but Silicon is one of the early game Pokemon and can spawn in the wild. It should NOT be this hard and difficult to find wild Silicon out in the wild in The Heartwood and the Floaro Gardens, which is where Silicon spawns in the game. When I got the game in November 2022 and I played through the Obsidian Fieldlands, I practically found a shot ton of Silicons in those areas and didn't have any real plans on fully 100%ing the game's Pokedex but a year or so later, I got the idea that I wanted to do that, so I went on the grind and practically didn't find that many Silicons after that. The most I found was, like maybe three. THREE FRICKIN SILICONS! And now, it's either zero or one that appears when I finally get a Silicon to spawn. Finding a Silicon really shouldn't be this difficult and it's annoying af that it is this hard to find them. Either way, I need to find a bunch of Silicon for the research tasks that requires me to defeat them, I only have two more to defeat with flying type moves and the other fifteen is just with other moves.
Edit: And what feels like hours later but probably just 10 min or so later, I just found a Shiny Beautfly (at around 17.00 Swedish time) when searching for the remaining fifteen Silicon.

Life-long Pokemon fan, first time Legends: Arceus player. What should I know? Without spoiling, what’re some tips and tricks you’d give to a first timer?

For anyone that has done a shiny playthrough. Did you transfer pokemom.from pokehome to arceus again or did you focus on finding shiny in the game early on and then played thru the storyline.
I was just curious is all

Hi everyone!,
I just finished Pokémon Legends: Arceus and I have to say, it was an amazing game. This was actually my first Pokémon experience on a console; previously, I had only used PC emulators. For some context, the last game I fully played was Emerald on PC. After that, I started Diamond but ended up moving straight to Arceus. I've been reading up and watching videos on the other titles, but I'm honestly not sure what to pick up next. Since I'm playing on the Nintendo Switch, what would you all recommend?

I would make it where you are setting up the settlements and leading people. Basically Medieval Dynasty but with pokemon and the option to make bandits part of your settlement by giving them the choice to redeem themselves.

I just finished the “main story” and am working toward finishing my dex for Arceus. I do want to know though, how am I supposed to complete all these item evolutions?? I know about merit points and have used them for evo items already but, are those and space time distortions the only way? Any help would be appreciated

Hi there
Was just wondering is the path of solitudes any good to do? I’ve completed the pokedex and all request except these. I kinda wanna go play legends ZA as it’s sitting on my shelf and I haven’t touched yet but don’t want to feel like I’ve left arceus incomplete. Should I do the path of solitudes or just skip it. Cheers!

I had 2 concurrent Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands and Cobalt Coastlands, so I saved and entered Obsidian Fieldlands. Without saving, I wiped ~5 Buizel from a Buizel outbreak and then a shiny Buizel appeared. I closed the game so I could be more efficient catching it so I could have more time to look at the other outbreaks, then I re-entered Obsidian Fieldlands and saved in front of the outbreak. I then defeated some Buizel again, but no shiny appeared. Instead it appeared the shiny was replaced with a non-shiny Floatzel.
From experience, the Pokémon of outbreaks are generated upon exiting an open world (as opposed to wild Pokémon outside of outbreaks which are generated upon entering the area and upon ingame time change), so any outbreak with a shiny always had that shiny if I saved at the Jubilife Village gate before entering its respective area and did not save in the area.
So this literally isn't supposed to happen...
Has this happened to anyone else?
Edit: The shiny reappeared! I think the fact that I used a Scatter Bang on three enraged Buizel before defeating them affected that... possibly.

i recently decided to replay the game
i have nearly 12 hours in the first area, i just got wyrdeer maybe two hours ago tops, i have caught both the flying gyarados and the togetic, all the static alphas, i found out there's a spot where a chimchar spawns outside the money island and i caught a shiny starly just after the turorial catches, i think theres only like, 3 mons to get to lvl 10 in this area
