I have the privilege of performing a wedding in October. So, I bought a new coat and sash for the occasion. I have a baldric and cutlass, but is there anything I may be missing with my garb? Boots are en route.

I took some advice from my previous post, and after stepping away from the project, I finally came back to finish my Jolly Roger. I may make some minor adjustments to the hair, but I am trying not to be a perfectionist about it.

I'm no graphic designer, but I think it turned out okay. I still cannot draw a good skull myself, so I used a modified skull from Adobe Stock to get the look I wanted. Other than that, everything was made by hand in Illustrator after looking at various references.

The next step is to turn it into a real flag. I may go with a flag printing service at first just to have it, but I would like to eventually make it myself by hand sewing it together.

Despite owning a huge cache of pirate books, both non- fiction and fiction, I have always wanted this one.This has to be a mainstay of any GAoP follower 🏴‍☠️📖

Today I finally took possession of a real treasure. Beautifully published including those woodcut illustrations.. I cannot wait to unfurl the first words behind those characters we know. Yes, I accept it may not be full or truthful accounts but their stories are for the retelling within our minds now.

What are some accurate and reliable pirate history books im a beginner in pirate history but have loved them since I was a kid and want to learn more about them

A friend of mine made me a flag for my birthday based on a concept I had. I think it turned out quite well.

I apologize for this very vague post but I’m remembering a video where pirate music is playing in the background and there’s a sterotypical pirate voice saying stuff like there be treasure and walk the plank. I also remember skeletons with swords being involved and a lot of old effects of pirate related things appearing and disappearing. If anyone knows where this video may be I would greatly appreciate if it could be found.

Early birthday gift for myself. I had a 1715 Fleet era 4 reale laying around that I wanted mounted. Nate The Jeweler built it exactly how I wanted and absolutely knocked it out of the park! Yes, I am a pirate...200 years too late.

Each pirate has their own pirate flag, so I decided to make my own. Me crew be sailing on The Black Raven.

This is an several months old drawing by me with some wonkiness. This depicted episode happened in a cruise when a group of English buccaneers passed Panama Isthmus and began cruising in the Pacific against the Spanish. The buccaneers changed leaders several times during the expedition and this happened when John Watling had surpassed Bartholomew Sharp(or Sharpe) for a while. To raid the settlement of Arica in a desert coast of Chile the buccaneers had to march 5 days to reach the town and the force was then split to fight the fort and the town. The Spanish fought back and Watling was killed and Sharp regained captaincy. I decided to depict the buccaneer on the march in the desert landscape and used historical references for their arms, cltohes and equipment, and can share more details if someone wants to know more in comment. I've been reading a lot of murder mysteries lately, so I'm looking for something different. I'd love a pirate novel with more of a psychological thriller/suspense vibe rather than just action and adventure.

I don't mind the swashbuckling, sea battles, and treasure hunts—I just want there to be some kind of thriller aspect too. Does anything like that exist?

I know its been about 300 years since the age of the pirates, but are there any famous ships back then or parts of them still around today, like in museums?
