Theory Jarah wedding confirmed ?

• Upvotes

I think that the video in which Chase appears with Cookie Monster gives us some clues about season 5. At the beginning he indeed says " I'm here to officially make you a Pogue", which sounds like wedding words idk?

Have you guys noticed other clues?

Character Discussion I hate Sofia

rafe's character development has been destroyed because of the Sofia relationship arc. the writers could've easily made him redeemable without the need of a girlfriend to 'soften him up.'

Sofia is a character the writers thought of as a self-insert. all the rafe edits and everyone going mad over him, they felt the need to add a filler character - to appease the mass.

anyways I do not see much Sofia hate or discussion around her character as much and thought I'd leave my 2 pence.

Season 1 Would you consider season 1's writing at the same level as The O.C. season 1 ?

Since I saw people comparing the two shows, placing OBX as a Gen Z's The O.C. (Glamour placed it that way)

Season 1 Florentine Pogen - Zappa(S1/John B)

Imagine this song in S1 from John B's POV when he sees Sarah.

-----------------------------------
She was the daughter of a wealthy
Florentine Pogen
Read 'em 'n weep
Was her adjustable slogan

She was a debutante daisy
With a color-note organ
Deep in the street
She drove a '59 Morgan

That's the kinda step she takes
When her hot breaks hot breaks
That's the kinda sound she makes

Character Discussion Riara in high school

I’m curious on people who say Rafe and Kiara dated in the past, I don’t judge but I was always curious on why people think that. I do admit they have chemistry (I want a movie with Madison Bailey and Drew as love interest)but at the time Sarah and Kiara were friends, Kiara was a freshman and Rafe was a senior, kind of interesting but just want to know what everyone else thinks?

Rewatch Rewatching thoughts

I'm rewatching getting ready for season 5 and just to note, they way Sarah just always goes back to topper , wears his stupid necklace and then gets mad at John B is so unlike her character in every other way ... Maybe it's cus I dislike topper, the actor and the character or idk but it just feels like that whole part is kind of a waste and a very skippavle moment in rewatching

I feel like people will disagree with some of them but it’s more about how much I like watching the character than how great of a person they are

This shit is disgustingly good I heard it in the credits of S4, its like feels like a really fiery heroic version of the goofy chill Pogue theme that plays in all the episodes?? This shit sounding like the fucking Power Rangers it gets me so hyped 😭

Theory what are your season 5 predictions? Spoiler

I don't know if season 5 is the finale but if it is I think they'll do a time jump towards the end of the season where the Pogues are adults and they have kids and at least one of them is named after JJ.

Character Discussion What’s your least favorite ship/couple in the show and why?

I’ve been rewatching the series recently and was just curious Which couple/ship (canon, former, or almost-happened) you just never liked , and why?

It doesn't even have to be a major one, could be a short-lived fling, something that felt forced for plot progression, or a fan-favorite that just didn't work for you chemistry-wise.

Character Discussion Does Sarah actually want a relationship with Rafe?

I have always found the Cameron family’s dynamic to be the most interesting part of the show, especially Rafe and Sarah’s. Everything about those two and their view on each other is so intriguing and has been ever since the first season, but i’m not sure if they actually hold enough love for one another for this redemption arc the writers are doing when it comes to ther relationship.

From the first season, it’s clear they’re not very fond of each other. It resembles normal sibling dynamics a bit more, but even in his first scene Rafe was shown to not care when Sarah was in danger,he called her a bitch to Topper and didn’t care about Barry potentially going after her until he started threatening Rafe too. It doesn’t look like he was ever a caring big brother. This was all when their relationship was more normal which makes it hard for me to see why Sarah especially would want to try a relationship with Rafe.

As they are siblings she might feel some type of primal bond to him, which does make sense but other than that has she never shown that she wants Rafe in her life? He has shot her, drowned her, almost killed a bunch of her friends, kidnapped her and talked to her like a big brother should never talk to his little sister. I have yet to seen a scene where Sarah talks positively about Rafe, which she has done with her father because it’s actually shown that they have had good memories together. The backstory they are giving us in season 5 might prove me wrong but if we go from what we know from the show, Rafe has never been particularly got her. There’s also a obx scrapbook, which i’m not sure if it’s canon but in that book it’s mentioned he hasn’t treated her the best even in childhood. For example he would lock her into the basement for hours.

I’m not sure how Sarah will ever be able to feel safe with him after it. Throughout the entire show i have seen no desire on her end to reconnect with Rafe, but in season 4 it even looks like she has to do some of the solving because in Rafes mind he thinks Sarah is just as in the wrong as he is. I’m just not sure if this redemption arc actually aligns with Sarah’s feelings on the situation, since she’s often a character who’s authority gets taken away for the development of the story and other characters. Another example is her getting pregnant.
Rafe has shown some sort of care for Sarah when it comes to apologizing and changing his mind about shooting her and her friends, but I don’t think that’s about him loving her. I think his view about himself and others are just so distorted and that’s why his actions often contradict each other. He might suffer from like BPD or something. I hope season 5 solves my thoughts about this but I genuinely have to see more from both of them.

Future Season Discussion Season 5 plot prediction Spoiler

i refuse to actually believe they will kill JJ off, so this is a prediction that includes Jj still being alive, I know I know, throw me in the loony bin 🤪

Here’s my theory,

The pouges are actually burying some one else, possibly chandler as this could be a fast forward scene

I think the new season actually focuses on them believing J.J. is dead OR pretending he is dead so that no one goes looking for him to charge him for the riot, and to ensure chandler doesn’t go back to try to finish what he started

I believe the real plot of the season is the pouges looking for treasure, as every single other season has been, this time J.J. is the treasure, the real treasure has been their friendship all along

i think the real situation that happened is the pouges did take j.j to the hospital where he did make a recovery, but when he was finally healed he left the hospital and went on his own to seek revenge on chandler himself, he didn’t want the pouges to know because he didn’t want to risk them dying for him, so he left the hospital on his own

either the pouges know this and begin searching for him then, or J.J. came up with a way to convince the hospital staff to tell the friends he had passed away

since Jj cannot come home due to the riots, and the possibility of jail time the pouges go back home to hold a ceremony in honor of Jj and that is also to ensure chandler actually thinks he is dead. And that is where John B is making the speech that we hear in the season 4 finale

The rest of the series follows the pouges finding out about Jj being alive or already knowing (more plausible theory) and then searching everywhere for him eventually finding him in the last few moments of the very last episode

In the final episode we see Jj and chandler have a stand off and Jj is losing but the pouges come in and help Jj in killing Groff, and finding jj, showing the true meaning of treasure isn’t money or gold or the crown but it’s actually friendship, and this time they finally get a win, since they killed chandler they are able to get the black crown, and hire a good lawyer for jj to get him off Scott free from the riots.

This would allow Rudy to have very little screen time, if any at all as they could possibly get away with using a stunt double for any scenes involving jj. I know it’s shows them potentially burying jj in the final episode of season 4, but why would they not bring jj’s body home and bury him in obx, them burying him there makes no sense. I might sound crazy but I refuse to believe the writers would actually kill J.J. off even if Rudy doesn’t return, I think there are definitely ways around that, especially after the way fans reacted to the finale

Kindly give me your best theories that destroy this plot line because I do not want to get my hopes up too much, truly

Character Discussion Season 5 trailer Cleo Spoiler

You’ve all definitely watched the trailer for Season 5, right? If not—

!spoiler warning for Seasons 4 and 5!

There are only two scenes, but my Jleo heart was sooooo happy.

Cleo is riding a motorcycle just like JJ did during the race in Season 4 (or back in Season 3, when he distracted the police). And the prison scene? Just like JJ in Season 2. Well, Cleo was literally written with JJ in mind, so these parallels don't surprise me, but I’m still happy about them.

Season 3 Season 3 made me hate John B and Sarah anyone else?

I just finished Season 3 of Outer Banks and honestly… John B and Sarah have become insufferable.

In the early seasons, I thought JJ was the dumb/chaotic one, but now these two take the crown. Sarah especially like, what do you actually want?? Her decisions make zero sense half the time.

And John B? Everything revolves around him and his treasure obsession. It feels like he barely cares about anyone else in the group anymore.

Am I the only one who feels this way or did the writing just fall off?
