So I've been able to find diet coke and Pepsi zero at Metro / Walmart but can't find anything else like Dr pepper or mountain dew. I need them in the small 591ml bottles for work.

I'm also looking for the 4 pack of sugar free monsters or reign energy. I can only ever find the normal sugar ones or simply the white energy.

Edit - I'm looking for packs. Not single bottles. Im aware I can buy single bottles from gas stations and convenience stores but I'd rather buy them in packs to save money.

Bike is nothing fancy, old Raleigh, but the gear shifter wasn’t working properly after I replaced the chain. I tried to fix it by watching videos, but after 3 days, I gave up because I just couldn’t find that right cable tension, and my back hurts.

Is there any shop that would charge reasonably for fixing the gear without breaking my wallet or costing more than what I paid for the bike?

A couple months ago I started going for daily walks and whenever I pass by this house their dog is always outside. Doesn't matter the time or the weather, it's outside, No dog bed, can never tell if the dog bowls are full. It's so sad. Sometimes when I walk by I can hear the people inside laughing and chatting animately and the dog will be sitting on that step whining to go in. I do wonder if it was left outside during the wildfire smoke last week, I was away those days so did not get to check.

I have wanted to give the owners the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it was just a coincidence that the dog is always outdoors when I walk by but seems highly unlikely. It's obviously an outdoor dog and they don't want it inside their house :(

Should I report this? Is it something that animal welfare services will take seriously?

Anybody know what is going on? Noticed while driving by the street that it is lined with police vehicles.

I work in plumbing here in Oakville and get asked this a lot, so figured I'd share it here since it comes up on this sub occasionally.

If you're in an older part of town — Old Oakville, Bronte, Kerr Village, parts of Glen Abbey — and you've had a floor drain back up, or multiple drains slow down at once, it's usually not a random clog. Most of these homes have sewer lines from the 50s-80s, clay or cast iron, and the joints crack over time. Tree roots find those cracks and grow toward the moisture inside the pipe. Once that starts, it doesn't fix itself — it just gets denser.

A few signs it's the main line and not just "one drain":

• More than one fixture slow/backed up at the same time
• Gurgling from a toilet when you run a sink or the washer
• Water pooling around the basement floor drain
• Sewer smell near drains with no obvious source

Store-bought drain cleaners basically don't do anything for this — they're made for surface clogs, not root masses or joint separation further down the line.

If you're dealing with repeat backups, a camera inspection will actually show you what's going on instead of guessing. Also worth knowing: Halton Region has a rebate program that covers a chunk of the cost for backwater valves and sump pump work if you're looking at prevention.

Where do you take your 80lb+ dogs for full grooming?

I am seeing prices like $130-$150. Is that normal? Anywhere cheaper with still decent quality of work?

Need help/suggestions. Have decent sized backyard with a big tree. Grass in the shaded portion grow fine but sunny section of the lawn is always having some issues.

Have constant weed problem year after year, last year had grubs and this year the company I am working with said it’s chinch bugs causing brown patches.

Any recommendations on how to keep this section on par with the rest?

I accidentally scratched my car while reversing into a parking spot and hit a concrete pillar. 😅 The paint has come off in that area.
Does anyone have recommendations for a reliable and reasonably priced place to get it repaired? I’m hoping to avoid dealerships or expensive body shops if possible.
I’m in Oakville/Mississauga, but I’m willing to drive a bit for someone who does quality work at a fair price.
