I have been reading a lot of fiction books for some time, now I want to read some non-fiction books and am looking for some good recommendations.

hello everyone! im 15, and i wanna start reading, i dont really like instagram or short form content, not saying i dont consume it, cuz i do. i would prefer to do something more intresting, do you know any books that youd think id like? it can be fiction, or non fiction, my main intrests are self improvement, business, investing, money, and markrting. really anything that could i use to improve my self and anything related to how the world works, and why people buy certain things. thank you!

I'm on a revolutionary reading kick, and I'm thirsty for more. So far I've read Shut It Down: Stories From a Fierce, Loving Resistance, by Lisa Fithian; and Be a Revolution: How Everyday People Are Fighting Oppression and Changing the World - And How You Can Too, by Ijeoma Oluo. I also recently enjoyed How to Survive a Plague: The Inside Story of How Citizens and Science Tamed AIDS, by David France.

My favorite aspect of these books is how they demonstrate exactly how you can participate in and drive grassroots organizing to take big actions and create significant change. I would like to find more books that highlight effective modern resistance movements, especially books that are not only informative, but also instructional.

Just finishing Antony Beevor’s Russia: Revolution and Civil War, 1917–1921 and wondering where to go next.
I’ve already read Bloodlands, so I’m not looking for another WWII-focused book. Instead, I’d like to learn more about the USSR itself: Lenin’s final years, Stalin’s rise and rule, how the Soviet Union evolved after the Civil War, the Cold War, and ultimately its collapse.

I know that’s a huge time period, so I’m happy with either one broad history or a few books that cover it well.

I like to read in general. My subjects of interest are generally finance, history, science, philosophy. But I have an ick to get into geopolitics/politics/history. I have recently been having intense conversations around politics with a friend and although I know they are brain washed by the farce that media puts up to support the party in power, I cannot prove them wrong because I do not have enough information.

So, does anyone have any recommendations about books on politics of USA, UK, CHINA, India, russia etc? I dont even know where to start. I am interested in understanding their relationships with each other too. I’d appreciate your input, thanks.

I've been super interested in the collapse of the Bronze Age, the sea peoples, and how societies collapsed at that time period ( I just watched the Odyssey) Are there any engaging well written books you recommend? I really like the Lost City of Z and was wondering if there were any books with that same writing style. Thanks!

Im currently reading the best and brightest by Halberstam and I am LOVING it. Best and Brightest was actually recommended by a Caro interview I was watching of him. So I thought hmm, maybe do Caro next. Would love to hear all your thoughts.

For me, The 48 Laws of Power is the best book I've ever read because it completely changed the way I think.

I have a library in my restroom with just 4 books. They are dense, tough reads, but absolutely essential to be called an educated person, according to the consensus in my academic circles:

• The Twelve Caesars by Suetonius
• The Prince by Machiavelli
• The Art of War by Sun Tzu
• Letters from a Stoic by Seneca.

They’ve been sitting on that shelf for years for a reason: I don't take phone, forcing myself to gain some wisdom. I am completely serious about this, so please don't mistake this for toilet humor or any form of disrespect. Everything is clean, and I have a dedicated bookshelf.

So, here is my point: I bet you can drop your favorite self-help or leadership book, or a key quote or thesis from it, and I will track down its original source. Or look up in Google with AI and post.
