Question Playing other games made me realise how much of a fucking masterpiece this game is.
The game I played before this was Expedition 33, other than haven't played any new games from sometimes, and everything I played was S tier for me personally, so this had a very high bar.
God I miss this with all my heart, I miss the world, the characters the interactions, everything in this game would have been flawless had it not been for the way the 2E plot was handled.
Had it just been us finding out at the same time as 9S, it woulda been fine, but the fact that 9S was aware of, and while we playing as 9S didn't get any real hints he knew, was hard, I know in hindsight when you really think about it, it was right there, and yes I played that side mission.
In the anime they made it the opposite, way too obvious, I didn't like that either, just wish it was a bit more obvious, maybe on a replay it will get better.
god I love this game, most this slop coming out isn't half as good almost a decade later.

Question "The Tower" song, what other artists make music like this?
Hey everyone, asking for advice from anyone who's familiar with whatever genre this song's atmosphere falls under. I don't why I'm so fascinated by it. Just the vibe of it sinks deeper than a lot other stuff I hear. Where can I find more?

Question 9S' origins Spoiler
I've been researching about how Yoko Taro created 9S but the weirdest thing I found about it is that everything started with 9S vs A2 and then the writer created an scenario that would set up the final fight. He didn't really explain if there was an influence about 9S' character until he talked with Stellar Blade's director about how much he loved Evangelion but still didn't explain it. If I were to speculate, 9S' dark behavior when fighting machines could be influenced by how Shinji Ikari violently reacts to fighting Angels and most importantly to how in the End of Evangelion causes the end of the world with 9S no longer caring about the war now that 2B died. This is just theory but I wonder if anybody saw Yoko Taro explaining the making of the character

Question What does astrophysics have to do with philosophy?
Someone asked this (sarcastically) in this sub, but it’s a real good question. What does astrophysics have to do with religion? If you’re an astrophysicist, can you still be religious? If you’re religious, is astrophysics blasphemy?
My first ever physics teacher on syllabus day when I was 14 said, “when you learn how the world works, all the magic disappears, it is left with science”. I call BS almost 16 years later, so does NieR. The more I learned about how the world works, the more mysterious it became. When you realize how interconnected each aspect of life is, from the number 3 to left handed amino acids across all life, the more you realize how nonsensical things such as violence are.
“You don’t have to be evil to kill someone, you just have to think you’re right”
I left my studies set on a course of world peace, many of my classmates left the same universities with the same knowledge of astrophysics to build bombs. Realizing you can understand everything, including that we know nothing, can lead to a peaceful man, or a power hungry, war mongering, lying man. Both of us think we are right, both of us have the smarts to back it up. Only one of us uses it as an excuse to hurt another. That’s where astrophysics and philosophy combine, they combine at an Oppenheimer. A man so sad he felt it right to create the power of death itself, because he doesn’t want his world to ending creation to “leave blood on his hands”
They combine when the replicants garner just as much sympathy as robots, or shades. When you realize that while playing as a replicant, you’re a villain to someone else, playing as a shade, you’re a villain to someone else, and playing as an android, you’re the folly of another species, and the villain to someone else. When is Oppenheimer the villain, when is he the hero, is he both because he thought he was right? Is he wrong to inflict his will and death on a planet, just because he was smart enough to do so?
Is Emil worse than Oppenheimer? Could someone so precious to life such as Emil, who can conjure a practical genocide, be our hero?
Edit: to answer the question itself realizing I never truly did, in a fun way, our planet used to rain molten rock. Then gigantic treesize mycelium (shrooms) with genetic memory like a computer took over the planet. At some point dolphin like creatures existed in real water this time not molten rock, and from those weird dolphin like creatures, all mammals we know today including us humans, evolved. The left handed amino acid thing, every single living thing ever everywhere has a certain amino acid pattern we call “left handed”, this could very easily also be a “right handed” pattern in nature or other. But, somehow, every single living thing ever, has left handed amino acids (that we can see). Why? Well, that means all life, grew from 1 singular point. 1 little microbe, is the causation, for all life on earth as we know it. And I practically KNOW that even if we can’t call it more than scientific theory. I live knowing that, I walk past people know that, I walk past them knowing we were both feces at some point too! And yet the person I walk past, my friends I graduated with, the whole world it seems, can justify dropping a bomb on some poor little brown kid. I don’t need to explain really how all that connects astrophysics and philosophy

Searshing for a lost nier automata vibes track
I remember listening to a song that had the lyrics:
Your love once a blazing fire has withered away was winters came...
(...)
Tell me your secrets dear how long you stay
It had the vibes of nier automata and was before IA. Also it had a name like track something so it's hard to find now. It was a female singing and I believe that there was a piano playing in the background.

Question I need help loving this game
Hello people !
So, alright, I've been playing this game a lot
I here so much good stuff about the game in the later playthroughs
I've finished it once already
absolutely adore the aesthetic
But for the life of me I can't bring myself to actually like the game
like 90% is combat and the combat is really boring, either that or I'm doing it wrong, and I'm leaning towards the later. I'm playing it basically like a souls like, just dodge and attack, but during the first play through it felt like more of a hassle, and now with 9S it's just more of the same but slower but a random bullet hell from time to time (and I just don't like that part, but it also feels like the only way to do significant damage)
I tried in easy mode to to just get trough it fast and get to the story, but it's just boring faster
so please what am I doing wrong ?
should I just watch someone’s play through actually ?
