Back in the early 1990's, my family would always visit a local pizzeria called Pizza Plaza for dinner on Friday nights.

One summer night, I walked in to find that they had replaced their Namco Assault cabinet with a lovely two-slot featuring Baseball Stars 2 and Sengoku, which quickly became my obsessions. Sengoku especially, as it felt like a fusion of Capcom's Final Fight and Big Trouble in Little China.

From that moment on, whenever I visited an arcade, I was on the hunt for Big Reds. When I got my AES years later, it was one of the first games I had to add to the collection.

What was the first game to give you the Neo bug?

Spotted two copies of sealed last blade but cannot tell if they are authentic or bootleg.

Has NCI ever released these games? (I cannot find it on Google)

Is the only way to check authenticity of the cartridge is to open up the case and check the pcb?

I preordered a bit fast a NeoSD Pro AES last April to Terraonion, with a delivery planned in October.
A few weeks later, I sent them 3/4 emails to cancel my preorder but never got an answer.
I considered asking help to my Competition and Consumer Protection Authority but they do not manage affairs with foreign companies (Terraonion is located in Andorra). I haven’t found yet the equivalent Authority in Andorra.
So has anyone managed to cancel a Terraonion preorder and get a refund?

Which platform do you get your Neo Geo fix on?

I tend to play mostly AES and MVS (especially if I'm playing fighter as I prefer those in my cabs), but the CD hits the sweet spot for sports games or titles with those amazing arranged OSTs, lengthy loading times be damned.

Hello, I have a pair of consolized MVS’ for sale. I was hoping these would work out for a project, but I’ve decided to go a different route. One is an MV1AX and the other is an MV1FZ. The MV1AX runs off of 12V and uses a SCART to SCART cable. The MV1FZ runs off of 5V and uses an 8 pin to SCART cable. Both come with power bricks. These were sold to me as working but I don’t have the right converters to confirm. So being sold as untested.

I’m looking for $225 shipped in the US for 1, or $400 shipped for both.

I'm going to leave it as-is for now. I can't say whether California orders are working yet, but Illinois definitely seems to be.

pierpa86 has posted his latest complete version of Crossed Swords II on cartridge. It's based off of Razoola's hack, but adds back the Crossed Swords II CD music, plus unlike the sound hacks before, it retains the original stereo sound effects.

Folks, this is huge. Finally we have a definitive cartridge version of the game (until the original ADK cartridge is discovered). This is a version worthy of having on the shelf -- Only problem is it needs a special PROG board or at least adapters to make a cart. It can also be played on flash carts.

Got a very good deal on a basically new MVSX locally, but was a bit bummed to discover the red peeling off here out of the box. What's the best way to glue it back down so it doesn't keep peeling all the way down the side? I don't want to just make a mass by slathering glue everywhere. Thanks.

I appreciate I'm not the target consumer for the AES+ but I have Neogeo games on the Evercade, Steam and Nintendo Switch. With the 8bitdo Neogeo controller not available anymore, I want to ask if the AES+ Neogeo wireless gamepad will have a USB dongle to work on the Switch, a Steamdeck or the Evercade VS?

By all indication the specs of what is included, it won't but if they sold a USB wireless connection seperately that would be good. The Atari Wireless Joysticks had something like this and my understanding is the same company is developing the AES+.

How is this diff from the now discontinued NeoSD Pro? Just cosmetics and the game? Any way to get the blander NeoSD Pro? Will this work with the upcoming AES+?

Hey guys. I know 3d printing has been somewhat popular with making shells for consolized MVS and what not. But has anyone ever made a custom cover for a 2 slot board in a cab? Mines a little rough looking and considering other options other than the usual sandblast and powder coat with stickers. Or lions3. A quick google search wasn’t turning up much of what I’m looking for.

With games like Neo Turf masters, Baseball Stars 2, League Bowling etc, I began to wonder if SNK had released a tennis game and/or hockey game, what it would have looked like. With the mechanics that Turf masters used for swinging the club could have been applied to a serving meter and could have offered player choices from around the world too. Courts too, a grass, clay, hard court, indoors etc. Would have been amazing. However, with hockey, I just stumbled upon a game I never knew existed until today. From 1994, Taito released Slap Shot. I'm one of the many soon to be AES+ owners and will be getting the Ultimate which includes 3 1 V 1 fighters. 1 v 1 fighters at their peak are played against a competent human opponent. Obviously OG systems and the AES + aren't online connected and I don't need them to be. Never have been a fan of random matches in other online fighters due to input lag and it's just much more fun to play in person. That said I do have a few competitors ( 2 kids that may play and some friends) but that will be infrequent and I will likely destroy them as I'll be playing more on my own. I've got a sweet new bar top and stools that will sit in front of my CRT to mimic an arcade setup and encourage multiplayer but still will probably end up being me vs the CPU 90% of the time. My main inquiry aimed towards veterans of the system and SNK fighters is how much longevity and enjoyment do you get out of matches vs the CPU and do you still enjoy the genre that way vs the run n guns, shooters, platformers etc? I'm sure it depends on the game to a certain extent. I've been playing MOTW and SShow 2 via Evercade vs CPU only and the AI is really good there and can see myself replaying them for a long time. And yes I'm now versed on SNK "Boss Syndrome" LOL.
