Hollywood Golden Age [Inspiration]
Just wanted to share a quick inspiration album of actors from America’s “Golden Age of Hollywood” which is widely considered one of the best eras of men’s style ever. It was a time when the understanding of proper dress form, proportion and color theory were at an all-time high amongst the general male population. I’ve included images of legends such as Cary Grant, Clark Gable, and Humphrey Bogart, amongst some other lesser known individuals. I hope you enjoy.
Do you guys think this era of men’s style was the “best” in history? Is there any objective qualifiers for that opinion or is it all subjective? We have an in-depth discussion about this very topic already going on in my subreddit /r/threadtalks. This is the only place on Reddit for genre-agnostic enthusiasts ranging from menswear nerds to vintage heads and even avant-garde and streetwear fans to share knowledge in an open-minded and unique way. We discuss all manner of fashion history, personal style and garment construction. Hope to see you there.
