I’m putting together a preseason series called “The Fan Files,” where I interview one passionate fan from each of Iowa’s 2026 opponents to get a better understanding of their program through the eyes of someone who follows the team closely.

2005 MAC championship vs Akron.With a 14 point lead in the 4th, the huskies looked destined for their first MAC title until Getsy and the zips came back and topped it all off with a 36 yard bomb to Dixon to seal the game.

2012 vs Iowa-NIU had a solid 8 point lead in the 4th, until Damon Bullock turned up for a 23 yard touchdown late in the 4th.That was NIU’s only loss until they played FSU in the orange bowl(Which was expected not to be rude)

Hi guys, im an incoming freshman and im looking for an on campus job, so far ive applied to some in campus dining services, a housing job, and a desk job in the department of management, but my anxiety is getting the better of me so I decided to come here for advice. when can i expect to start receiving interview offers if i do receive them? can someone also explain a little bit on the process? im very nervous that i wont be able to get any of the jobs because 1. im an incoming freshman so i know upperclassmen would be preferred and 2. because of some separate issues, an on campus job would be my first job so i have no prior work experience, only extensive volunteering experience

I applied to the NIU Dream Scholarship a while ago, and the deadline was recently, and I was wondering how long I should expect to wait for a reply bcs i know it changes like i got my admission decision for NIU within 2 weeks, the Honors Program within one, so I know while NIU decisions are relatively fast, it does differ. Also, if anyone knows any more information about the dream scholarship, it'd really help, i havent been able to find extra info no matter who i ask unfortunately and this scholarship im hoping will help me out a lot if i can receive it. if anyone has received it feel free to comment the only person i know so far who has received it is from an article on NIU Alums page and that person had a quote saying it did help them a lot so im really praying i get this

Hello everyone!! I am wanting to get a NAMI on Campus branch established at NIU this coming fall. I am in search of some officers and just regular members. Nothing is concrete in this yet so there is a lot of flexibility for meetings and events.

A few things about the organization:
NAMI stands for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The nations largest mental health advocacy organization. The On Campus chapters are student ran organizations that aim to educate the students on how to navigate mental health issues as well as advocate for better mental health services/programs on campus. My main vision for this is to host activities and workshops aimed at improving coping skills in a more fun way than just sitting there and listening to someone talk about them.

Some events I am looking at hosting:
- Friendsgiving get together (can include food and games)
- Easter egg hunt for Easter
- fun activities the week before midterms and finals
- end of year cookout
- semi weekly or monthly support group including things like picnics and painting
- if I can get approval, dodgeball tournament
- open to any other ideas from anyone

So I’m an incoming freshman and I signed up for this class cause it fit my schedule but now my math class switched so now I’m taking calc 2. I found out I could take CSC1 240 now as a result of that and I’m currently thinking of switching it out with Phil 105 since the rate my professor reviews for this class are… interesting… any thoughts? I was wondering if anyone can give me some input on the NIU masters of FNP program, who has attended? Was the program well run? Did you have any trouble finding clinical placement? While NIU is considered a brick-and-mortar school, they do not help find clinical placements for students. This is my concern. The program is Hybrid requiring some in-class time. Tuition is reasonable compared to other schools around the Chicagoland area. I'm also looking at Loyola but that's a DNP program, requiring more time in school and comes with a hefty price tag of about 85,000. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Hi everyone. I wanted to see if anyone else was having trouble with their AP scores. on my transfer credit report all of my AP credits are there besides my AP Psych one, and when i emailed my advisor she said she couldn't help me with anything and to go email testing services to see what they could do.

Naturally I did, and they said they could see that it is on my report on their end but not mine. Now I'm a bit upset because I want to take classes that are quickly filling up that have a pre-req of PSYC 102 that my credit would've counted for but I cannot because its not showing on my end. Is anyone else in the same boat? I just find it weird that all my scores but psychology are there.

If there is a game that isn’t on the site you could create a page for that game with a tier system based on how accurate the information you provide is. Along with profile theme customization, user messaging, and a fun fresh UI that is different from all modern social sites with a slightly retro feel, this site is unique and growing. Might be in the market for a new laptop soon and I wanted some peoples opinions.

Will be going into my 5th year at niu but this semester I am commuting instead of living on campus. Since I am going to be away from my pc a lot more, I kinda wanted something more powerful to have on the go.

I already use an iPad for notes and the MacBooks have caught my eye due to it’s compatibility with the iPad. I am already aware of some of the downsides Apple devices encounter in the engineering environment. Is it really as bad as people say? Do the classes have workarounds for students with MacBooks? But I am also not apposed to sticking with a windows based system either. I’m just curious what people have to say.

I'm an incoming freshman at NIU and I'm locked out of my account. I keep getting the "Your account is blocked suspicious activity at-risk users" screen
Leading up to this, I was receiving a ton of random Microsoft OTP codes on my phone all month, so I think someone was trying to force their way into my account, which triggered this security lock.
Is any other freshman dealing with this exact same thing? If you got it fixed through , did they make you change your security settings or set up an authenticator app?

Hey y'all! I'm going to NIU starting fall 26 semester. My high school allowed us to buy our IPads off them, which I did for $100. I've heard kind of mixed reviews about using IPads instead of a laptop. I'm an elementary education major.

What are your thoughts on this??

EDIT: I have a keyboard attachment for my IPad, so for essays and things like that, I have the keyboard. I'm more just wondering about programs that NIU uses that might not be compatible on IPad, or things of that nature.
