This is sums up (mostly) why Phillip Island isn't staying on the MotoGP Calendar
After reading through several articles spanning all the way back to 2004 when the track was bought this is basically the situation:
Liberty: Facilities at Phillip Island are awful, they have needed upgrades for years, we know everyone loves the track but don't care make us more money noobs
Billionaire: I will pay for upgrades to the race track which I privately own if the PI council let me build a multi million dollar 5 star hotel with a golf course nearby that faces over 100 objections by said council due to coastal and environmental protection policies which I've been rejected for multiple times since 2006
PI Council: No please make a reproposal that doesn't go against environmental and coastal policies even though we allow AirBNBs everywhere heh
Billionare: No otherwise I will lose money and I didn't become a billionaire by caring about ethics
Liberty: how about we move the race to Albert Park? *proposal rejected by Australian government* ok well PI isn't making us enough money lets go somewhere else
MotoGP community: WTF dont remove PI!!
Billionaire and Council: government please pay to fix the circuit!!! wahhhh
TLDR: liberty and billionaire greed

KTM-Binder total split, Steiner: “No more old baggage"
Sadly I think that’s it for Brad.
While I agree he prob didn’t do enough to get another chance, I find the way he’s being treated on his way out very unnecessary. He did a lot of good for this bang average manufacturer, kept his mouth shut even when he had every right to complain, and certainly didn’t deserve to get disrespected like this now that they’re about to part ways.
I don’t really like Steiner, sorry.

Did anyone recently buy merch at a circuit?
Hi guys. I'm interested in buying some merch from GP Racing Apparel online and I'm trying to find someone with a discount code. I've bought merch at circuits before and they always gave me a card with a 20 or 30% discount code.
Does anyone have such a code?
Best regards.

MotoGP Merch Brand apex-affair.eu Reviews?
Hello:)
I’m not sure if this is the right community to ask this question in. I want to gift my boyfriend a cool MotoGP merch tshirt because he is a huge fan. I know he doesn’t like the look of the official merch and I found this brand apex-affair.eu and wasn’t able to find any actual reviews.
Therefore my question has anyone here ordered from them before and can let me know how the quality is? The prices are pretty good but I’m afraid if the print holds up after wash.
I am grateful for any input or suggestions for different merch companies:)

Ducati rumoured far ahead with 2027 development; their lack of support for KTM a retaliation for blocked one bike rule change.
Translated excerpt:
This whole conflict has been brewing for a long time and is related to what will happen in the World Championship from 2027 onwards. Ducati has put forward a proposal to change the rules and force riders to use only one bike during the free practice sessions of the Grand Prix races, leaving the second bike covered in the garage only for qualifying and the race.
Rumors suggest that Ducati is far ahead with its new 850cc motorcycle for 2027 and that this one-bike rule would stifle the others' development. KTM is currently bearing the brunt of this tension.
It turns out that a series of parts purchased from an external supplier were not manufactured to the quality or specifications KTM had requested.
Pit Beirer himself explained it clearly in a statement to Speedweek.com: " We've finally discovered that we're using high-load transmission parts that don't meet the given specification in terms of quality. These critical parts in the engine have failed under certain conditions. They're components from a supplier, and after investigating the cause, we can now also rule out that these failures occur with the correct parts."
