Every year I hope to have delicious pomegranates. Every year they split before ripening. I water regularly and fertilize once a month (consistent with packaging instructions). This is the worst split so far! At least it happened early before I got my hopes up!

We got five bushes in our garden that get all the care and attention they need. Two years ago we were drowning in berries. Last year not a single one.

Pen for scale

My weather has not been consistent. Rain, shine and clouds. Not exactly summer weather.
Due to the forest fires, it’s finally getting hot enough for my next batch to grow a bit bigger.

The plant died after this. Deck of cards for scale.

Teeny tiniest strawberry I’ve ever seen.

Bottle cap of a gallon of iced tea used for size reference. Strawberry was on the softer side, a mix of sweet and tart.

Wouldn’t even know how to eat them without just popping them in my mouth whole and chewing on the seeds

So here’s an update to my garlic harvest from last year. Slightly bigger this year but I’m guessing soft neck varieties are just not viable for northern Maine climate 😅
