Match 16 - Momoko vs Kako (Momoko WINS)

There’s nothing really noteworthy about these matches. Masara’s invisibility is just too good & Momoko’s sword was too big to handle for Kako’s spear. I honestly wanted to see more but it’s whatever.

Alright, with that out of the way, let the fights begin! I personally wanna see Rena advance to the Round of 16. Pick your winner.

Match 7 - Shizuku vs Kokoro (Shizuku WINS)

As expected from the veteran magical girl, Kanagi put Mel on her place. The latter just couldn’t seem to find the luck she had & it resulted in her elimination. I’m so sorry Elite_Asriel. Shizuku managed to find a way around Kokoro’s defenses by using teleportation to keep on the attack, & it was just too much for the latter. Kokoro is out. Shizuku wins.

Now then, let’s continue the Knockout battles!

One of the things that I love about the Madoka Magica Universe are the symbolism and parallels between fiction and reality. I recently finished the final season of Magia Record and it left me with the impression that the Doppel are an allusion to abuse substance because the Magical Girls use them to deal with the pain and grief that comes with their wishes, they can be “addictive” and overusing comes with horrible side effects to the user.

Oh yeah, since this is the Knockout Stage where draws are no longer possible, the matches are now based on who can last longer & can still “finish the job”.

The results for Day 12 are as follows:

1st - Ren = 6 points (K/O Stage)
2nd - Kaede = 6 points (K/O Stage)
3rd - Mikage = 6 points (Not Safe Yet)
4th - Riko = 0 points (ELIMINATED)

As expected, Riko's inexperience proved to be her downfall. The little girl went out with zero points in the Group Stage, resulting in her elimination. Too bad. Ren put aside her timidness & put herself on top of Group Lima. Kaede also turned on her serious mode & secured 2nd place, qualifying to the Knockout Stage. Unfortunately for Mikage, she had to settle for the dreaded 3rd place.

Alright then, let’s finish this off and move on to the Knockout Stage! I have separated them into four groups and your job is simple. Just determine who gets popped first in each group. Whoever does is ELIMINATED.

The results for Day 11 are as follows:
1st - Yukika = 6 points (K/O Stage)
2nd - Hinano = 4 points (K/O Stage)
3rd - Tsukuyo = 4 points (Not Safe Yet)
4th - Reira = 3 points (ELIMINATED)

Looks like Reira didn’t stand a chance in this group eh? Too bad girl. Meanwhile for Yukika, she expectedly won the group with six points. Hinano couldn’t get 1st despite being the most experienced in this group, but she still gets 2nd & a spot to the Knockout Stage. The same cannot be said for Tsukuyo who got 3rd place.

Here we go guys. One last group, one more battle. Let’s do this!

1st - Tsukasa = 9 points (K/O Stage)

In a big surprise, Kanae has been eliminated in the Group Stage. There are no words for how this has happened. Well at least she’ll have some company with the rest of the ELIMINATED magical girls. Despite Tsukasa missing her twin sister, turns out she didn’t need her to win. She dominated Group Jester to move on to the Knockout Stage. Seika also did very well, securing 2nd place and a spot into the Knockout Stage as well. Mayu on the other hand, will have to wait until Saturday after barely beating Kanae.

Now then, let’s get the battles underway! I do expect Yukika to get 4 points or more because of her special ability.

I guess Tsumugi’s stomach couldn’t digest a missile or a giant teddy bear huh? Stick to eating food girl. You’ll be joining Iroha, Ayame, Akira, Meiyui, Ria, Natsuki, Sasara, & Emiri in the ELIMINATED group to watch the rest of the tournament on the sidelines. Don’t worry, I’ll give you takoyaki. Konoha & Ashley meanwhile secured their spots to the Knockout Stage, so good for them! The same cannot be said for Ryo though. She’ll have to wait & see if she’ll be one of the 8 best 3rd place finishers.

Now then, let the fights begin! I should also point out since Seika’s ability only works in water, I’ll be painting a picture in your mind by imagining the arena is 75% water and 25% land. This is so that Seika’s fights are more “fair”.

Despite Emiri possessing her powerful “Charm” ability, her lack of maturity is what cost her in the Group Stage. Too bad. She’ll now be joining Iroha, Ayame, Akira, Meiyui, Ria, Natsuki, & Sasara in the ELIMINATED group to watch the rest of the tournament on the sidelines. To no one’s surprise, Kanagi won all three of her matches, due to being one of Kamhama’s veteran magical girls. Surprisingly, Rika actually got 2nd after beating Emiri & Konomi, so good for her!

Alright, let’s get this group under way! I do expect everyone in this group to at least get a point.

The great fencer & knight herself was completely outmatched by two invisible magical girls & a girl who could read her weaknesses. Shame, I kind of wanted to see more out of Sasara, but she is now eliminated. She’ll be joining Iroha, Ayame, Akira, Meiyui, Ria, & Natsuki in the ELIMINATED group to watch the rest of the tournament on the sidelines. Hazuki, despite her intelligent mind, couldn't do anything against Masara & Sana. She could only manage a win against Sasara to settle for 3rd place.

Now then, let’s start the battle for Group Hotel! I think it’s pretty clear Kanagi easily wins this group eh?

Kamihama’s cheerleader couldn’t do much in the Group Stage, as Natsuki only managed to get three points against Ui. I guess her special ability only works on other magical girls and not herself. Either way, she’ll be joining Iroha, Ayame, Akira, Meiyui, & Ria in the ELIMINATED group to watch the rest of the tournament on the sidelines. Aimi on the other hand, was outplayed by both Aimi and Ui, meaning she settles for 3rd place.

Now it’s time for Group Golf! This should be interesting seeing that there’s two magical girls in this group who can turn invisible.
