Where do I go from here

1967 Austin-Healey Sprite. I was trying to figure out why there was no flow during the clutch bleeding process after installing a new clutch master. I’m not sure if I have to replace the whole line now, or if there is an alternative.

Thanks!

Spridget – advice needed attacking rotting spring leaf supports

Post image
8 Upvotes

I was going to replace carpets in my ah sprite and lo and behold: holes in the body panels. One area in particular is of great concern, the front mount of the rear leaf spring support. I’m not sure whether it affects the hanger box itself or if it’s «just» the internal panel(s). I’d imagine there’s quite some force being put on this area. Any advice on how to restore this to safe condition is highly appreciated.

I’ve started removing paint and rust from the floor panels, hence the look.

The Swallow Doretti is a rare, delectable slice of Fifties British motoring, nicely wrapped in a rugged Triumph TR2 chassis and draped in gorgeous, hand-hammered Italianate aluminum skin. Named for its California importer, Dorothy Dean, the project was so good that it earned the ire of Jaguar.

Looking at at 1977 MG B and need some input / advice

I'm looking at a 1977 MG B online that's about an hour away from me so the photos I have are what's been posted. What I'm wondering is if I were to go inspect it in person, what should I look for or is it even worth looking at. I know it has some rust spots and the interior needs work and cleaned as well. If I were to put in an offer what would you suggest a good or top price point?

They say it ran when they parked it, but would need a fuel flush and new battery. It has a Weber carburetor, hood gas shocks, a hard top and new convertible top all included.

Does anyone have experience with Weber carbs on a 3.8 L jaguar XK engine. car has been sitting what would be the priming process? Specifically draining the carburetors all fuel in the lines is guaranteed fresh.

The Unipower GT was a thoroughly engineered mid-engined British sports car alternative to the Lotus Europa. Built from 1966 to 1970 using BMC Mini Cooper engines and parts in a spaceframe transverse mid-engine layout and fibreglass body weighing just 508 kg.

The 2004 Connaught Type D Syracuse GT is a mind-blowing compact GT with a supercharged 2.0L V10 with its cylinders banked at 22.5 degrees. Weighing less than 2K lbs., it had more than 300 bhp on tap and would scream to sixty in under 4 seconds. Top speed was 170 mph; lack of funding killed it.

The evergreen MGB has always been a British motoring icon, but Frontline Developments Abingdon Edition is a wholly bespoke, comprehensively rebuilt beauty that turns the MG restomod dial all the way up to eleven. Made in Abingdon-on-Thames as per the originals, they are a scintillating experience.

Former ad man Jez Hayter founded Mythron to build the perfect Sebring Sprite Fastback; all are custom-tailored right down to the clutch bite. Core to each Mythron Healey is a rebuilt A-series four, rebored to 1380 cc from 1275 and making up to 120 bhp. A supercharger can add 50 bhp or more.

Midget carbs & intake

Ok after finding the casting number and quick search, Triumph Spitfire intake and carbs, no wonder I couldn’t find anything for Midget

Apologies if I am posting in wrong place, just looking for a little advice and or guidance.

Have a pair of SU carbs with intake and linkage that’s been sitting on shelf for a bit. Realistically where should I start as far as selling? Googling shows prices all over, I’m really not too savvy with these type autos. Everything seems in decent shape, throttle blades are free and move well.
I’ve no clue what year car they came off of

Also have what I assume to be factory air cleaner housing and a header

Thanks in advance and again if this isn’t right place for this, I’ll delete

I've seen a few MG but I rarely see much Triumph's, so this was a nice surprise

1979 MG B, slightly modified to would have been mainland Euro spec if it existed. Twin SU, UK ride height, side light delete, metric instruments.

Classic Mini Clubs?

Hi all,

I'm looking to see if there are any ethisiats out there that are part of a club for classic mini owners in CT.

Just purchased a 1969 Innocenti Mini and looking for like minded folks who work on the cars themselves.

Just got back from paint, under lights doesn’t quite do it justice, but BRG with a touch of black added. Very deep green, looks awesome in daylight. More photos to come once all panels back.

In 1964 Jack Sears ditched his Ferrari GTO and partnered with Peter Bolton in this one of a kind AC Cobra Coupe that AC Cars Ltd owner Derek Hurlock and his team built to take on the ‘works’ Shelby Daytona Coupes in the famous 1964 LeMans 24 Hour classic. It ran as high as 2nd before crashing.
