Hello, welcome to the "series" dedicated to analyzing the numerical performance of newly released IDs/EGOs.
Our focus at this time will be on LCE E.G.O::Dimension Shredder Yi Sang
Let’s start with application
Rupture:
Total Pot ≈ 29
Total count ≈ 6
Maintenance ≈ -11 (+4 with the EGO)
Albeit his pot application is decent and his count being as negative isn't that much of an issue (on rupture) his pot application is heavily backloaded and he doesn't exploit shredder as good as WSang does nor has the frontload application of a sacced LCE.
For charge his negativity is a sad remark to how this ID will never achieve his full conditionals while playing with either statuses, either missing final power or a few dynamics due to how fast rupture ends fights or due to charge still having rupture as a decorative status.
About this charge ramping not mentioned he at least has the modern charge ID factor which is pretty fast ramping of count and expenditure for potency. Sadly he offers nothing for his teamates like AEDD, QoH or MCliff do so he's as solitary as his uptie implies him to be (and his skill considering they expect you to somehow apply rift before he uses his skill for conditionals which means solo/double slots).
Moving on to DPR
DPR stands for damage per rotation, which is a method of calculating an IDs performance based on 6 [or the first 6] turns of the game in which is ID is “forced” to go through all it’s skills.
Wayi Sang raw damage performance (Counter>S1>S2>S3>S1>S2)
28 + 17 + 112 + 48 + 44 + 53 ≈ 302
Wayi Sang perfect damage performance (4x S1, 2x S2, 1x S3-2; all max achievable conditionals):
264 + 136 + 234 ≈ 634
Wayi Sang realistic charge damage performance (S2>S1>S3-2>S1>S2>S1; Assuming charge support):
28 + 17 + 112 + 48 + 44 + 55 ≈ 304
By the season's perspective, Wayi Sang is on the lower end of raw damage performance, being on par with Pinky Sinclair to slightly better and while having better damage than AEDD Gregor he has much less utility than his which for charge on its current state is a bigger factor.
By Charge's perspective he's top 5 and an insta slot on the team thanks to aspects beyond his own damage but still having respectable damage by the standards of charge.
For new players reroll away from this ID. Even if he's arguably self sufficient there's much better IDs this season at that.
Its also remarkably sad that his S3-2 is volley. Albeit not a game changer at least if it had weight it would've been a more impactful ID when it comes to MDE compositions.
A quadridaily experiment consisting of quadruplicity of quadruplicate traversal through quadruple dimensions
The main positive of this ID is engaging into the seasons common recurrence of sin generative IDs thanks to his evade generating both envy and pride. Pride something heavily absent which forced many to still run WOutis for the sake of QoH EGO to be fueled. Also thanks to his small disparity on skill damage, once your S1 starts coin reusing you will benefit more from replacing both S1s and S2s with evade since gluttony is plenty useless on charge compositions currently.
For the subsequent experience following my ingestion has... unfortunately taught me the consequences of such gluttony
Like every pro has its cons this ID lack of sloth (in favour of gluttony) means he has no way (in charge) to fuel his "signature EGO". With the fact that the ID has no interactions with the EGO itself (unlike LCE Faust) it is clear their intent was to not have it even bother using it since as we know prior this ID is first and foremost a charge ID.
It is a bit sad since it further pushes away any chance of sustaining a rupture stack on charge with this team and now we have an ID who will always be missing conditionals on its "optimal" team.
(Also did they really tried to justify gluttony by making every voiceline of his being food) (yes i know the abno has it)
Conclusion
Although a much better release than that of WCliff; Wayi Sang still leaves much to be desired when it comes to charge needs of DPR sources or dynamic supports; More so when compared to the likes of Poise support during this season which provided it with plenty broken IDs or renovated its previous roster. Hopefully charge own season will twist it into a meaningful win condition if they keep refusing to making it status be generalist themed like poise.
About 4MF Rodya its a decent upgrade and on content that spare resources are plenty its a ok setup into her own S3 and the passive is ok. When it comes to Thumb Rodya and her team in specific its better than her other HE so at least in comparison to 4MF Yi Sang its a better direction.
