MOC Brick built Rancor

A fully brick built Rancor. I've tried to go for something close to minifig scale, at least as seen on screen in Return of the Jedi, where Jabba's rancor Pateesa stood around 5m tall.

Question Help me decide!

I’m downsizing my collection of vintage Star Wars legos and am completely stuck! I’m not sure how many I’ll be able to keep with me, so I’m thinking I want to maximize exclusivity and potentially continue to accrue value. It’s not necessarily that I’m looking to sell them in the future, but it would be a bonus if they were worth even more haha.

As of the moment, I’m stuck between the Droid MTT, Obi-Wan Starfighter with Hyperdrive Ring, UCS Y-Wing, and Jabba’s Sail Barge. I’m worried I’ll sorely regret my decision down the road to part with one of them and could use some different opinions. They’re all great for different reasons, but what do you think?

If you could only pick one or two to amaze your fellow LEGO Star Wars fans with in another 20 years, which would they be? Which ones do you want the most today, if you don’t have them?

All of these models have been in storage for 20 years and I was a “collect and display” kind of kid so very little, if any, wear. The first sets I have already decided to keep are my built Wookiee Catamaran missing just one 442nd Trooper (still have the other trooper, Wookiees, Yoda, and light up Luminara), along with a sealed Hoth Rebel Base (7666), and an original boxed (opened and missing sticker but never fully built) UCS Death Star II (10143).

MOC B2EMO

I'm currently "figuring out Rebrickable." To that end, I've posted free instructions to my B2EMO figure: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-270290/zeitresden/b2emo

"I wanted to create a design that really captured his puppy-dog demeanor, so this B2EMO model features a poseable head and overwhelming cuteness."

With the exception of the eye, all parts are available new from Bricks and Pieces for about $2.

One of these images shows off my old Dayvan MOC which I shared a few months ago. I'm happy to say that after a slight redesign, instructions for that are coming soon™.

Official Set I finally did it rebuilt for the first time since 2012!! Republic Attack Gunship

Upvotes

I originally got this set as a Christmas present as a child when it was still on shelves. It got knocked off a closet shelf in 2012 and I did a janky repair job/customized it into a remade gunship not at all like the original in order to maximize troop capacity. Fast forward to today (14 years later: after college, grad school, about 7 different moves/apartments/homes, and marriage) and it is finally re-assembled. My Frankenstein’s monster I built out of the ruins in 2012 was long lost to my bins. I sorted through 6 bins each 12in tall, 18 in deep, 18 in across [probably 90 lbs of legos] bins shown in last image) to find the pieces. Over the last two weeks I’ve dedicated an hour or two each evening after work to hunt pieces and rebuild. I have hunted down nearly every piece (except some of the clear/grey tiles shown missing on the sliding door on right hand side) and rebuilt it to original guide for the first time in 14yrs, what a project! I couldn’t be happier. Thankfully even the original stickers were still attached despite being wrinkly and peeling. Let me know what you think! (Not pictured blue tube that goes in the empty slot in gunship bc I don’t like the way it looks)

Official Set Lego Death Star - Pleasantly surprised on the design

I ran into an issue where the sub bag for bag 9 was the wrong bag. I was afraid I would have to stop the build while waiting the 2-4 weeks for the replacement parts to come in, but I have to admit that by them making the build modular, I have been able to continue to build it while waiting for the needed parts to finish the elevator shaft in the hangar. So far this has been a fun build (minus the missing parts that is)

If you didn’t know, this is an early prototype image of what the 2012 clone arc trooper battle pack clones looked like. Shoutout to @fivelonelyclones on YouTube and Instagram for inspiring me to make these guys! Getting all the parts for these clones wasn’t easy but here they are! Yes, all the parts are fully legit LEGO. I also put them next to their buddies, whose parts they share with (a bit of a flex, I know)

Minifigure 10 years apart, a good time for its retirement, and a time for melancholy

I do own a Darth Vader keychain and this Luke Skywalker minifig, I purchased them in 2016 or 2017 during our field trip in a famous amusement park, and stumbled upon a lego store, so its either a decade old or two, however I lost the Darth Vader one, I can't remember what happened to it a while back prior to my 21st Birthday so, in honor of that lost piece, purchased a new one, and decided to retire this decade old Luke Skywalker keychain minifig. He has seen some things. And this makes me complete in a way.

(I also attached a photo I sourced out in the internet as my way of showing you my lost Darth Vader minifig, even though it's lost permanently)

Tons of memories and nostalgia hits me back man. What a time to be alive..

Box/Haul Used B-Wing 75050

Thumbnail gallery

Very pleased to find a used B-Wing for about 40% of the average price! It has the pilot minifig but the other two are missing which I can live with.

It probably isn't fair to call it a dream set because I didn't know which B-Wing I wanted, but I definitely really wanted one.

On a side note, I have seen some postings about removing stickers. I took all 9 off this set and attempted to put one back on with glue. It worked but it was very messy. After that, I decided to try the other eight with the original adhesive and they stuck perfectly! Pretty great for stickers likely applied 10 years ago!

Question UCS venator technic not lining up?

Thumbnail gallery
Upvotes

Has anyone else had to slightly bend the technic pieces on the ucs venator to attach bag 24 and 25 to the main set? I've looked at the 3d instructions 10 times over and cant see anything incorrect but seeing the pieces slightly bent just seems wrong?

Discussion Vader TIE advance

How is it possible that last time we saw playscale Vader TIE advance was 2009???!! (Not counting smartbrick because it sucks)

They love to put vader almost every OT set but 17 years since last TIE advance is crazy.

Lego has made atleast 5 X-wing versions during this time and 3 regular TIE fighters

I have the 2009 version but I really want the upgrades version soon!

Edit: my bad, I honestly didn’t know about 2016 version!
