A Good Samaritan tried to save Cody but he recently passed away. I see it has been described as an accident and/or truck explosion. Does anyone know what actually started the fire?

I have an upcoming flight with a midnight return to La Crosse. I would normally get a friend to pick me up but I don’t want to bother anyone that late at night. I’ve had a sketchy experience with one of the local cab companies in the past and I’ve only used Uber in bigger cities.

How’s the uber situation in La Crosse? Is it likely that I would be able to get one to get me from the airport at midnight on a Saturday?

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a local cab company? How much does it cost to get a ride? I’m wondering if I should just leave my car at the airport and pay for the week of parking

Hi guys. I'm slightly familiar with LaCrosse, would stay with a friend occasionally, but now I'm actually moving there from Madison. I'm sad having to leave my place, yet trying to be hopeful about opportunities here now. I have a black lab and 2 cats, love gardening and cooking, music, nature, you know, blah blah blah.

Here's the thing, I've been in trade work for 10 years ( electrician's apprentice, rough framing, drywalling, carpentry)

Have any ideas where to go find work? I'll gladly take warehouse and manufacturing as well. Twice forklift certified, OSHA & HAZWOP certified as well.

Hi, I recently moved here from Milwaukee for work. So far think the area is beautiful! I still have yet to check out the going out scene or make many new friends. I loooooove dancing, particularly EDM music. There's a huge techno / house / DJ scene in Milwaukee, and I miss having tons of options for going out dancing. Is there any kind of scene for that here in La Crosse? In mke/chi I definitely don't prefer like a DJ that just plays top hits or throwbacks, but honestly here I'd even take that as I just miss dancing in general lolz.
What's the scene like for other live music? Rock / folk /indie / anything really?
I'm also abt to turn 25 so hoping to not just meet college kids, if anyone has intel that'd be helpful! Only lived here for like 4 months

Going to be living in La Crosse for a while for work starting in August. Any recommendations on things I should check out while in town or any hidden restaurants I should check out would be awesome. Have been to bodega, buzzard Billy’s and The Crow last time I was in town. Just curious on what the local favorites are in the area thanks in advance!

My childhood was in La Crosse, while eating brats, on the sesame seed rye brat buns from Quillins. It was almost like a pumpernickel. Is there anything being produced now that is similar?

I am planning on moving to La Crosse from Chicago due to being relocated due to my job. I lived here years ago during college and i dealt with multiple slum lords in the area.

I frequently walk by the retaining walls on main street in onalaska. The tallest one furthest west has caught my attention. First there was 2 dead baby bunnies next to the wall. I thought it was a cat. Then mice started showing up. Today I counted 5 baby bunnies, and 7 mice all deceased. one bunny and one mouse that looked like they died today. I've come to the conclusion that they are being scared/ pushed over the side of the wall by a predator. I don't know how to help this from stopping. Any input would be greatly appreciated. (I don't know who owns the land it is overgrown woods with houses on the sides.)
