Pinning this as a separate thread because there are some notable changes in the official press release from what we knew before, including upping the seat count to 70k from the initial 65k, multiple photos of B2 flyovers, and an actual parking spot count.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs released initial concept renderings for the club's brand new enclosed stadium set to open in Kansas City, Kansas, in 2031.

"Today we are excited to show Chiefs Kingdom a first look at our new home," Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt said. "From the beginning, our goal has been to build something that improved the gameday experience for every single fan. This new stadium will do just that.

"It's spectacular. It honors the rich legacy of this franchise while setting a bold course for the future of Chiefs Kingdom.

"While we're still finalizing many of the details, there are a few things we know for sure: it will hold 70,000 fans, it will still be the best place in the world to tailgate, and the whole building will be built for noise."

Key details:

> $3 billion state-of-the-art stadium

> Fully enclosed roof featuring translucent ETFE panels

> Expected total capacity of approximately 70,000

> More than 20,000 parking spots

L’Jarius Sneed spoke on his new role after he signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, marking his return to the team after being released by the Tennessee Titans.

This is Sneed’s second tenure with the Chiefs, where he previously won two Super Bowls.

Sneed expressed his goals for the upcoming season. “Reclaim who I am. Not to prove anything but to show people I am who I was,” Sneed said.

Sneed also acknowledged that his role on the Chiefs has evolved as he gets older. “Just instill in the younger guys, I think that’s my role now,” Sneed said. “Show them guys the way because I got two rings and I think we can go back and get another one.”

HIGHLIGHT The last time Chiefs returned a KO and a punt for tuddys were both in 2020, weeks 7 & 14 respectively. With the defensive secondary and offense revamping, will we finally get some excitement back on STs as well?? 📽️🎞️

The club announced it will partner with Kansas City, Missouri-based Burns & McDonnell as “owner’s representative” for the 155-acre project at the intersection of College Boulevard and Ridgeview Road.

Working alongside CAA ICON, the employee-owned engineering and construction firm will oversee planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and construction to help deliver the project from concept through completion.

The new year-round football and business operations campus, along with a mixed-use development, will be built on approximately 155 acres near College Boulevard and Ridgeview Road and is expected to open before the 2031 NFL season.

ANALYSIS & NEWS 2026 NFL Trade Tiers: Players Worth Round 1 Picks on Each Team | ESPN

Thumbnail

KC's section:

>*Seven first-round picks:* QB Patrick Mahomes. Would a torn ACL stop anyone from trading the farm to land Mahomes? I'm of the opinion that Allen is the best quarterback in football at the moment, having outplayed Mahomes over the past three seasons, but Mahomes' postseason halo and remarkably consistent success before 2025 would undoubtedly charm teams, too. Mahomes turns 31 in November, so there would be some hesitation about committing too many future picks given his age and the knee injury. But that could still mean a decade of high-level quarterback play from arguably the best player of his generation.

>*One first-round pick:* CB Mansoor Delane, C Creed Humphrey, DT Chris Jones, Edge George Karlaftis, OT Josh Simmons, G Trey Smith. The player most likely to rise out of this group next year might be Simmons, who was quietly very impressive in his rookie season when available. He played only eight games because he left the team for undisclosed reasons and then suffered a wrist injury, but he was reliable and effective as a pass blocker. No player who saw as many snaps as Simmons was left one-on-one as a pass blocker more often. If he can stay on the field for 17 games in 2026, Simmons could be regarded as one of the league's better young left tackles.

The guy who might be most likely to fall out, surprisingly, could be Jones. It was notable that the Chiefs didn't restructure Jones' deal after the season to create cap space, suggesting that they might try to move on from the 32-year-old after 2026, at which point there will be no remaining guaranteed money left on his contract. Jones has just 12 sacks and 45 knockdowns over the past two seasons, although he appears far more effective getting after the quarterback when you turn on Chiefs tape. We'll see whether the additions of Peter Woods, R Mason Thomas and Khyiris Tonga make life easier for Jones.

>*Missing out:* WR Rashee Rice, WR Xavier Worthy. While both of Kansas City's young wideouts have flashed as pros, neither has put together the sort of résumé that would justify a first-round pick. Rice's off-the-field issues make it difficult to imagine the Chiefs feeling confident about signing him to a second contract, and Worthy wasn't able to build on an impressive Super Bowl after suffering an injury in Week 1 a year ago.
